I wonder if the cutscenes are still pre-rendered…
Expect it to be. It’s going to be Deus Ex: HR all over again!
What is the problem with it?
There wasn’t a problem at all with it. Deus Ex had pre-rendered cutscenes which didn’t usually look all that good if you had an optimized system. What I’m saying is that the game won’t take advantage of your hardware to display the cutscenes. The game is limited to 1080p apparently, so I don’t think it’ll matter at all if it does or not.
It was pretty noticeable on the PS3 version too. Yet the FMV cutscenes in Deus Ex HR had a lot more stuff happening in them than in the actual game.
I see. Well, this is still a port of a last gen game, but from the screenshots it doesn’t look too bad to me.

it was really weird seeing Deus Ex HR cutscenes to be vastly different from the game.
there was this one cutscene after the first mission when your meeting David Sarif to talk about the aftermath.
the cutscene was dark as hell in the room, yet in-game it was actually pretty light and can see pretty much everything.
i also think this is the reason why despite changing your costume, Raiden doesn’t change his appearance in cutscenes.
which is a shame, since MGS1, you can see characters changing outfits in every cutscene ever.
i hope they fix this here or at least in the eventual sequel.
DXHR? what problem did that have? looked and played great to me.
all this MGR talk makes me wanna replay my copy. i beat it once and honestly it’s not an MG game by far, but i finally got over that and realized it’s a fun game for what it is. plus i have the extra missions, mgs4 raiden skin, jetstream sam and bladewolf dlc, and CYBORG NINJA skin! all free too
will japan also have a PC version?
i already plan on buying the SE PS3 JPN version with all the DLCs included, but i might dip into this.
though shame, i don’t think i have a strong PC other than being able to watch and handle anime in 1080p encodes.
Well Japan has access to Steam, so I assume they can download it. I just doubt it’s in Japanese.
yeah i don’t think they’ll put the JPN localized version 🙁
make it region free! steam doesn’t let us in asia buy this!
