Kojima on which version of MGSV Ground Zeroes to buy

Kojima adressed a question on his Twitter he gets asked a lot: which version of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes to buy. Here is what he said.

I’ve been asked which ver u should buy. The feel of play & impression’s similar as it’s been made multiplatform/multigen” this time.

Sense of realism & graphics looks much better in next gen. So I’d say currentgen for those who can’t buy next gen just yet & upgrade later.

FYI, the world ranking of mission result/trial grade in “GZ” differs to each platform.

The feel of play/difficulty levels are the same as we consider slight difference parts found in each hardware, controls or frame rate.

So according to Kojima, each version has been tailored to the specific hardware. Also, interesting to know the rankings are different for each platform.

  • Kaniebas

    So basically next-gen

    • Nyxus

Yeah, not too surprising. I’ll get the PS4 version.

      • BigBossWantsYou

Who isn’t getting the PS4 version? Nobody. That’s who. $100 more to go for that PS4!

  • William of Orange

He secretly anounced mgs: v for the WII U

    • Jonny2x4

Doubt it. Seems most third-party developers are staying away from the Wii U. In fact, Konami doesn’t even have anything planned for the Wii U, period.

      • Super Anonymous II

True. Which is surprising considering Konami’s extended support with the original Wii in its first few years.

Doesn’t really matter, Nintendo consoles have never been the home for Metal Gear titles for me. They’ve got their own exclusives.

      • William of Orange

It was a joke… Although I would buy the wii u version for current gen.

  • Golgari

PS4 version obviously, because 1080p and 60 frames per second with better lightning and overall details.

  • MrVux007

I will wait till they make full MGSV package including GZ and TPP for PS4…..sometime during 2015 then ๐Ÿ˜› ?

    • Nyxus

I’m definitely not going to wait. ๐Ÿ˜›

    • Batzi

      @mrvux007:disqus:

Not going to happen. They are both separate games. KONAMI wants to make profit and it will not do so if they add GZ free with TPP. Not going to happen. Not in 2015 at least. Go back and look at all the MGS collection KONAMI release and you should have an idea. If you wait, you will end up buying both GZ and TPP separately and you would have wasted time.

      • Nyxus

But maybe they will offer the bundle at a higher price, in stead of giving away GZ for free.

        • MrVux007

I think the full game bundle (GZ and TPP) will go around to 70-80 $ max….witch is ok by me

      • MrVux007

Ummmm mate were did i say they will give away GZ for free???? and ofcorse it will happen sooner or later…..and besides im not buying a ps4 nowhere before 2015 ๐Ÿ˜› since i like to wait a year or two to make sure the console actually works…did the same thing with mine PS3…and they will profit anyways if they put the full bundle aswell

  • Super Anonymous II

It’s a very rudimentary answer. He’s giving the generic PR statement, notice how he didn’t compare the Xbox and PlayStation version either. All he said was current gen and next gen. Obviously because both sides are just as good as each other, right? Subtle attempt to decrease competition.

  • Batzi

    PS4.

  • PrinceHeir

    i agree with his statement.

i’ll buy GZ on PS3 then wait for a full bundle pack on PS4 since i have tons of games still needing to play

  • Jaime

Xbox one! it comes with Raiden as a unique content and with great graphics! so i don’t know why people say ps4 cause of the 1080p because they all look the same…

    • MrVux007

      maybe because they dont…… ๐Ÿ˜›

  • Ricardo Oe

    I will buy to Ps3 and PS4 !
