“Reunite with Chico or Paz”? Are you gonna have to choose between saving one or the other?

    • Cartmangus

I’m thinking you get to pick who you rescue first and the achievement just unlocks when you rescue the first one maybe. I mean Chico is operating on Paz in the E3 trailer so I don’t think there’s any choosing between who lives or dies

      • BigBossWantsYou

Kojima did say you could choose who gets to live and die in MGSV. Probably not this early but who knows?

      • Janeo

I agree with you here if there was a choice wouldn’t be out of character for boss to save Paz instead if Chico

        • BossWantsYou

Depends, do you want to save Paz to make sure that MSF isn’t compromised and get the chance to get back at Cipher or do you want to save Chico, one of your own soldiers and a child

          • Janeo

Yeah but boss wouldn’t let Chico die to save Paz plus we see both Paz and Chico in the helicopter in the e3 trailer

    • Joseph

Lol I didnt notice the “or”

  • Golgari

One thing for sure is that Ground Zeroes will be short as hell.

We are talking about 2 main missions + few Side Ops and one Extra Op.

    • MitchXOF

You cant really judge the length from these trophy’s. MGS2/3 were “2 missions”. Obviously it wont be as lengthy as those two but you shouldn’t assume it will be short as hell.

Kojima’s not the type to put out a quick 2 hour campaign.

      • Golgari

        http://metalgear.wikia.com/wiki/Achievements/Trophies

Here you can compare MGS2/3 or 4/Peace Walker trophies to MGSV:GZ and you can see that the campaign is going to be short.
I hope that this is not true because I don’t want Kojima to have bad scores from stupid journalists that will say that it is too short when in reality it is half-priced.

This is a very risky thing to do these days.

One thing I’m wondering about…where are all the little achievements that are usually in MGS, like an achievement for putting someone in a locker or taking a picture of something special, etc.? The achievements listed all seem so straight-forward and unimaginative. Is it possible that this is not a complete list? I’m not familiar with how Xbox achievements work.

          • Golgari

I think the reason to this is that in the past MG games were too linear and while level design was fantastic there were also special things you could do just like you said “Taking a picture of something special” and etc. because game design was very limited.
This time around the game is open-world (huge map in Ground Zeroes) and you can probably do a lot of “Something Special” in a game. You can plan more stuff in the game and prepare your strategy and execute that “Special” moment.

        • Janeo

You shouldn’t worry if Kojima didn’t think it was worth realeasing on its own he wouldn’t. It won’t be the longest game ever but I think people will get a lot of play time from it I know I will. There are only a few missions but this is like peace walker for a console so they won’t be really short missions plus there will be surprises I remember Kojima saying he has put something in ground zeroes that no other game has done

    • mgs fanatic

dude, its open world, it doesn’t matter if its short, there is going to be a lot of exploring to do, it will be fun, short or not

      • William of Orange

No, it’s not open world. Camp Omega is a huge area, but you still need to choose a mission.

      • Revenge of Anonymous

        Open world =/= fun

  • Joseph

As much I do believe that Kojima doesn’t fail to give a game, but it seems that the story of Ground Zeroes is: Snake infiltrating Camp Omega, meeting up with Chico and “rescuing” him, saving Paz and on his way back, Snake sees mother base destroyed and the whole incident that causes TPP. There could be something in between But that’s what I feel is the story if Ground Zeroes along with the side ops. But overall, I’m still excited fit this game.

    • crimsonfox

I’ll be so sad when it ends…Who knows how long we’ll have to wait The Phantom Pain. I’m going to take my sweet time with Ground Zeros. I’m going to try and make this my first platinum on my PS4 Bah! can’t wait…

      • Nyxus

After Ground Zeroes we will feel the ‘phantom pain’ of the part of the game we’ll have to miss… now I understand where Kojima was going with this. 😛

      • Revenge of Anonymous

Playing GZ on anything but PS3 is retarded.

        • BossWantsYou

Why? PS3 is inferior to PS4

          • César H. Sandoval

Meybe he’s talking about the price, because you can get GZ for 20bucks in PS3.

          • Revenge of Anonymous

Not when it was made for the PS3

        • crimsonfox

Mr.Anonymous you need to calm down. Mr.Kojima has said they are the same besides some graphical differences. I’m pretty sure whatever I play it on won’t affect you anyway so chill out.

  • solidmatt

Anyone know what the initial source for this leak was? Where was it first posted and how were these screens captured?

    • Nyxus

Not sure, but I think they’re real, many sites are listing them.

    • It’s a microsoft app for tablets/phones for Ground Zeroes that was leaked

  • o1striker

I have a feeling the main campaign is going to be short, but we
probably have a bunch of side missions. I only read the first image as I
    don’t want to spoil it.
Now I’m thinking we might have to choose between saving Paz and Chico.

    • Nyxus

But in the scene where the bomb is being extracted from Paz’s stomach, Chico is also there to assist, if I’m not mistaken.

      • William of Orange

But there’s also a scene where snake starts to choke chico. Maybe this is an example of players getting the choice to kill a central character or spare his/her life.

      • Revenge of Anonymous

That scene only happens when both are rescued.

  • Super Anonymous II

Metal Gear is finally back home on Xbox 🙂

    • BossWantsYou

Back home? The originals were on MSX and the Solid series was exclusive to PlayStation with the exception of MGS2 until the HD Collection was released allowing Xbox users the opportunity to play the MGS Saga (with the exception of MGS and MGS4)

      • Super Anonymous II

First of all it’s called MSX2. Second, that was a Microsoft created platform. Third, MGS2 was out on Xbox in 2002 and they did want to bring MGS4. Technically, it is coming home.

        • Nyxus

Still, I wouldn’t call Xbox Metal Gear’s ‘home’.

    • César H. Sandoval

      Nice bait.

  • Jonny2x4

Anyone else noticed the Portable Ops homage in the “Unlocked” achievement? The icon is Snake saluting just like he does on the MPO logo.

  • solidmatt

Another question I have for those of you more familiar with Xbox achievements has to do with the total number of points or g’s. I’m reading that Xbox games are supposed to have 1000 total. But, as some commentators have pointed out, the leaked list totals 1100. Could anyone explain this?

    • Nyxus

I believe there are some games with more than 1000 GS (which is often because of DLC though).

  • Ricardo Oe

    Man…
I`m really want play this game in all…
    KILLING TIME….dude…

  • BigBossWantsYou

XOF Patches? Like Dog Tags from MGS2?
