Check out this new MGSV: GZ gameplay video

German site posted a new gameplay video for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes (with German commentary). You can check it out below.

Most of the information in the commentary is already known, but here are some things the journalist points out:

  • There is only one area, but the journalist feels the game is spacious and exciting enough to warrant the price tag.
  • Everything works very well and intuitive, the journalist also likes how there isn’t any information (HUD) on the screen.
  • There are five side ops (one of which has to be unlocked).

  • Schmojima

btw. they say the only thing which is a little awkward, is that you pick up POWs and guns with the same button, which can get mixed up sometimes. So you want to pick up a person but instead pick up his gun…

    • Batzi

A visual marker appears above the weapon if I am not mistaken indicating that the player can pick it up. I think they thought it through so I wouldn’t be worried about that.

      • Schmojima

Yes, you are right! I was just repeating what they mentioned in the video.
I guess KP will deliver a stellar game with no hickups whatsoever, so I’m not worried at all…i just wanna playhaay!!!! 😀

        • Batzi

From what I read from all the impressions, so far the game seems almost flawless on every level. I wouldn’t be surprised since the game itself is smaller than other games out there so KP probably spent months perfecting every aspect of this game which is very much appreciated. I can’t wait to get my hands on this baby!!

          • Schmojima

            Amen to that! 😀

  • Golgari

My jaw dropped. CQC moment is awesome.

    • Batzi

The game looks and plays amazing! Can’t wait! Driving in FPS mode is so realistic and the lighting is beyond anything I have seen in any game!

      • Golgari

Challenge accepted. I’m going to do this trick but with three guys. Woohoo!
Yeah. Lightning is amazing with fantastic shadows. This engine is made for the open-world game in mind but it looks gorgeous at closed-doors too. They can easily make a small base like Shadow Moses in TPP and gamers will be blown away.

The biggest dissapointment for me that we need to wait for TPP for one year. I want a full game already even If i’m buying GZ at launch. This game looks so polished to me.

      • Cartmangus

That second slam is fucking brutal

      • Nekkedsnake

it’s awesome how CONSECUTIVE CQC is taken from PW and refined. I thoroughly enjoyed slamming recruits over and over again on the beach in Recruit mode.

  • German Snake

    Germany <3 Schööööön 😉

  • Ricardo Oe

    Very cool !!!

  • crimsonfox

Bah! this looks sooooo good can’t wait!

  • Kevin Kerr Music

Ohhhh this looks amazing! I cannot wait!
    BRING IT ON!!! =D
Finally good to see GZ from some other angles and showing some REAL gameplay!

  • Cartmangus

fuucking nice, I’m also coming to love the minimal hud, no objective markers on screen pointing to where you go and shit, just you and the game, good stuff!

  • Gergő Heitter

so my question is will there be a fps shooting view? like in mgs 4

    • Jim

      That’s already confirmed.

  • Cartmangus

Maybe this is old news, but did anyone notice Christopher Randolph’s name at the very start of the video? I guess he’ll be back as Huey in GZ

    • Kevin Kerr Music

Think his name has been there for a while =) Ever since we heard Kiefer and Skullfaces new VA.

  • Machine Gun Kid

I have only one thing to say after watching this OKTOBERFEST!!!

  • Jim

I want the HUD back and Hayterr

    • Janeo

You can’t still be hurt about hayter I mean everyone who has played the game says Keifers performance is great besides that guy from ign but he just seems hurt over hayter so just hope you don’t let the absence of hayter impact your experience to much

  • ObsessedGeorge

Man! That’s what Kojima should have demonstrated! That was amazing! I can’t wait!

  • PrinceHeir

    Looks ace!
