Kojima explains how to play MGSV: Ground Zeroes

On Twitter, Kojima gave some personal advice on how he thinks you should play Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.

GZ is more like a tutorial, so fairly small open world, but TPP has much bigger field & changes time/weather giving more tension to players.

Snake in GZ moves smooth as butter. Esp when he points w gun while crawling, and rotate the camera.

How to play GZ. 1st start with main mission & replay in alter course/hard mode or play sideOPS that u opened. Collect items, patches & play special OPS/trial. Listen to the collected tapes while playing app. Try to get 100%.

Some calls it FREE SNEAKING. I’ve been saying it is Real Sneaking Simulator to differentiate other linear games but it’s hard to get it.

To GZ players. Pls replay as back in old days. Try 2nd screen by DL GZ app. With Vita, u can use as remote play in PS4.

And for PS4 players u can share your own Free Sneaking play to over the world.

As Kojima explained earlier, Ground Zeroes is meant to be replayed multiple times, as the open world and additional missions offer additional playtime over the single story mission. There are many different ways to approach the missions, and getting 100% should take a fair amount of time.

looks like I’m playing it right. It is going to take a lot of time to 100%, I’ve spent so far a total of 4 hours playing the side mission where you have to eliminate the Finger and the Eye and still have a lot to do in it, I love it.

It’s a shame there’s no Platinum to prove how awesome we are because getting 100% is pretty challenging.

  • glitchbomb

Just started today and noticed something kind of neat that I was unaware of. Its a small detail, but you can freeze the game at any point to take a screen shot to send to your tablet/smart phone, then you can share it with others. Pretty cool. Nowhere near as cool as PS4 share function, but still neat.

Anyone else get into the mother base function of the app? What do you think?

    • gerber

I have finished all missions in mother base, it’s pretty cool but a little bit monotonous.

      • glitchbomb

I was hoping it would be kind of long, oh well.
How quickly do you finish it? Also, another nice detail I picked up on was how you hear the slight sound of wind on a mic when you swing the camera around real fast to adjust the angle. Reminds me and of how you could hear the rustle of the grass if you swung the camera through it in MGS3. So awesome how little details can make an impact.

        • gerber

Yeah, that’s why I love MGS. So much passion is put into these games and all those details and easter eggs. As for the MB mini game, I finished it before I got to play GZ (I had to kill the time before GZ release lol) so it was harder without those extra units. Hard to say how long I have played it, couple of hours that for sure. Even though it is just a simple mini game, I found it quite addictive

  • PrinceHeir

I hope they incorporate some more feed back about the game.

I haven’t played it, but surely there are things they can easily improve(maybe hit detection, running animation or anything?)

Btw Nyxus this might be your favorite video ^^

Hideo Kojima’s Top Metal Gear 5 Characters 😀

    • yeah i hope they do that, there is a couple of details that could be better and other things that need to be fixed asap, like the npc’s cone of vision, it’s probably the best one in the series, but it doesn’t make sense that a soldier can see you through a truck

      • PrinceHeir

        Good stuff.

What about the aiming system? Is it good or needs some work?

Are there any RPG’s or any missle type weapons in there?

        • mhh it’s good i would say that is the same as MGS4 tough shooting far distances on third person sometimes works in a weird way, i’m not sure if it’s because a bullets falling over distance (which shouldn’t be because shooting the same distances on first person works fine)

i used one kind of missile weapon, i’m not sure if there’s more than that one

          • PrinceHeir

            Great!

What about the snipers? I think long range weapons in an open world is important and definitely useful for scouting targets and planning your movement.

  • MGSFAN

    SPOILER!!!!!!!!!!!!
(Don’t Read IF You Haven’t Done Any of the Side/Extra Ops Mission)

I recently contacted “the Agent” and recruited him or saved him.
Back in the main menus he was sitting down looking towards us.
I turned off the game. I turn it on the next day and he isn’t there?
Is that normal? Maybe it is since Big Boss himself was blooded at
the end of the main mission. Then, after turning the game back on.
He’s all fine. Idk. I just want to be in the clear.

    • markos

The main screen changes according the last mission you have played. For example, if you unlock classic snake, he will be in the main screen until the next time you return to it.

  • Bob Obb

I won’t even bother to get 100% but I have probably invested over 10 hours already… can’t say that about any other demo

    • Janeo

I can’t believe people still call this a demo so much to prove that it’s not. I guess people just think it’s a ripoff because it has a short campaign but I dint think this game was done with story in mind this is to show us how TPP will play

      • MrVux007

look man as MGS fan this more then fantastic and its not a demo…..as a realistic man this is sorta a rip-off and people who are new in MGS they wont like it especially if they are paying this much money for this…..dont take this the wrong way im still playing it for 15 hours now,and ill still play it and enjoy it…..but this guy will explain it better then me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMoZKfx1dcw

        • Janeo

I have seen a few of the reviews he does I don’t like how disrespectful he is to the games and developers. He shouldn’t really be complaining about not knowing characters since he hasn’t played any of the games that’s like starting Star Wars on episode 3 and complaining about the characters not getting a proper introduction. I can see how people who don’t already love metal gear wouldn’t get into this and I wouldn’t recommend it to a non metal gear fan until the price goes down but it seems like joe had already made his mind up about how he would review the game before he actually played it

          • MrVux007

Um he did played it and then review it ….. (-_-) he is a realistic man and thats why people love his reviews

          • Janeo

Never said he didn’t play it I said he he criticized things he had no right to talk about since he isn’t familiar with the series I just think he is to unprofessional and disrespectful to the games he doesn’t like so I’m not a fan

        • William of Orange

I just watched joe’s review and he’s absolutely right! I recently finished the main campaign (haven’t played the side missions yet, but i’ll get right on it!) and as a huge metal gear fan I haven’t felt this empty and clueless since Metroid: Other M. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a ton of stuff to do on Camp Omega and by means of gameplay and graphics, it’s fucking amazing, but if you would ask me what I like better: mgs2’s tanker section or mgs v:gz, I would definitely go for the tanker section. Am I completely dissatisfied, you might ask? No, Skull Face is a very interesting character and you could tell that Kojima was heavily influenced by the music of the movie:Drive, Kiefer’s performance is overall great, but Robin Atkin Downes was mediocre! Kaz sounds like a complete bad ass over the codec, but once he’s angry, he’s not convincing enough! Long story short, the story didn’t live up to my expectations and suddenly those 30 Euro’s felt like I shouldve spended it on different matters. I don’t try to be smart, but like the actual characters, GZ had a huge and negative impact on me and I have my doubts about MGS V:TPP

          • MrVux007

Look there is no point in denying, this was a TEXT BOOK money grabbing from Konami….this is a DEMO …no need to get un-hyped for TPP because of GZ,(btw i think Kaz had a good voice over but nvrmnd that )……TPP will most probably be GOTY judging from what ive seen in the trailers and in GZ…..so heres hoping Kojima wont screw it up (and he most probably wont ) 🙂

          • William of Orange

Of course TPP is going to be amazing and it probably recieves the GOTY award, but do you expect from me to soldier on and swallow this nonsense? No! Like you and Angry Joe said: it’s a goddamn demo and Joe is a mgs rookie! Could you imagine what the eventual score for mgs V :GZ would have been, if he was an mgs vet?
If there are some people on this site who think that MGS GZ is an 10/10, fine by me! You’re entitled to your own opinion, but let’s be honest here: don’t try to convince yourself that this game has a enormous amount of replayability. After you played the game for 70+ hours, you have to accept the fact that your trying to justify your purchase and that’s not a good thing!
We must demand for more content or/and a reduced price tag!

          • MrVux007

As Angry Joe said ….some of us are so blinded by our fanboism to Kojima and MGS that we dont see the real thing in front of us…..sadly there are many of us like this and hopefully people will sooner or later wake up against cases like GZ pricing and content…..im starting to feel a great concern for the gaming community, couse they are getting dumber and dumber….is 30$ to much for me ? NO! im a working man so i can afford this, but still i did feel a small sting in the head when i finished GZ….now, imagine all of those who dont have a long term jobs and such and spended most of their money on PS3/PS4 or Xbox and have just enough to buy two or three games and they buy this……ofc they will feel bitter and dissapointed especially if they are new in the series….i rest my case

          • William of Orange

I rest my case as well and I’m glad that there are some fans out there who stand their ground as a gamer and don’t condone this form of money grabbing activities!

          • But I think it’s kind of unfair to make it sound like everyone who doesn’t feel that way is someone who ‘doesn’t stand his ground’. Most people know the game is short, they know what they are buying. I’m a firm believer of quality over quantity. Not just for this game, but I have always preferred good, short games over longer ones that feel a bit like filler. I know you can also have both, but the way I see it: this is what it is, we have known it for weeks now and you can either accept it and enjoy the game for it’s worth, or decide it isn’t worth it for you and not buy the game. But everyone who played it agrees that the quality of the game is very good, and I think it’s a bit sad that it’s overshadowed by the length of the game, as if that is all that matters.

          • MrVux007

trust me if i weren’t a MGS fan i would most probably not buy this game or wait for a special edition with TPP….if your telling me that this is worth 30$ then your obviously trying to justify your purchase or maybe you really you do like these kind of games, in witch case you have a really modest taste my friend (no insult intended)…..i think it would be much more wiser and fairer decision from Konami and Kojima to released this game together in a single game with TPP ….or sell it at maximum of 15 $ for both retail or digital (if they are indeed all about fan-service) in short my message to Konami and Kojima *dont piss on me and tell me its raining* …..

          • William of Orange

I couldn’t say it any better! Your solution for this dillema is exactly were I was about to aim at.

          • Sting’s Dad

            As always, well said Nyxus.

Ground Zeroes is what it is. At no point has anybody been ‘lied to’, so nobody should feel let down. $20 for a digital download with the excellent high quality of Ground Zeroes is well worth the price of admission.

If TPP does indeed turn out to be ‘200 times larger than GZ’ then I’m sure we’ll soon see the angry boys here all eat their words.

Call of Duty for example, is the exact same game every single year. What do you get for your $30 spent on COD? A mediocre 4-hour campaign, a mediocre multiplayer experience and an exact repeat of the game that came before it.
Ground Zeroes easily has a good 20/30 hours of gameplay with stunning graphics, immense gameplay and a nice teaser for what’s to come in TPP.

Some folks need to stop spitting their dummies out and embrace it.
If GZ shows anything, it’s that Kojima is still the absolute best at what he does.

          • MrVux007

This is rly sad day when people have to compare GZ with COD to justify its pricing…..its a great DEMO is with indeed great visuals with the best game play ive seen in my life…..but is it worth 20 $ – 30 $? for me and other MGS fans ABSOLUTELY YEA! for other new comers this will be a rip-off ….. as Angry joe said Konami did reduce the pricing for a reason from 40 $ to 30 $ believe me a lot of people would demand a refund….. yet again its a great demo that shows of what we can except in MGSV TPP and that is that TPP will most probably be one the best games evaah created…..whoever says that this is a masterpiece or a perfect game…..—-play MGS4 or MGS3 and then this and then tell me what is a masterpiece…..KONAMI is money hungry and i get it, but other people who are not an MGS fans as we are wont be so pleased with this money grabbing

          • PrinceHeir

            Finally someone that make sense!

That’s why i’ll probably wait for Summer to play this. Just knowing the game only takes place in one island with multiple side missions scattered around the map, pretty much anyone can formulate on how the game will work.

Still, i do think this game is more geared towards the fans of the franchise. If Kojima wanted to attract a newer audience, he should have lowered the price of all versions to $19 just like the digital PS3 version.

          • William of Orange

Thank you for your support! I really appreciate it!

          • Machine Gun Kid

“THEY PLAYED US LIKE AH DAMN FIDDLE!!!”-Kaz

          • William of Orange

THAT SPYING BITCH and Chico ratted out on us!

          • MrVux007

            HHAHAHAAHAHAH

          • Solid Snakes Revenge

He did reduce the price. And if you download it I believe it’s only 20$. And it’s well worth that price.

          • William of Orange

I bought the physical edition for €30.It wouldn’t have been a big deal if it got sold for 15€/$ or konami should’ve combined Ground zeroes with Castlevania:LOS2.

          • Solid Snakes Revenge

I’m not trying to argue but you did make the choice to pay more. As did I because I like having the physical copies and mg related shizza. That would have been cool if it was with castlevania but you can’t blame him for not wanting to give it away for free. I don’t know the work that goes into making games but im sure kojima goes above and beyond blood sweat and tears. Endless hours of testing and all that fun stuff. But yeah I agree I wish there was more but I’m more than satisfied with my purchase and can’t wait for the phantom pain.

          • Solid Snakes Revenge

Demo would mean same content would be in the phantom pain. It’s exactly what kojima called it a prologue. And paying 30$ for this masterpiece is def not a money grab in my opinion.

          • MrVux007

yours and mine definition of masterpiece are obliviously waaaaaay different …..

          • Solid Snakes Revenge

Best game mechanics I’ve ever played along side with the graphics yeah I would call it a masterpiece of a prologue. Yeah the initial story is short but o well I’ve already gotten way more than 30$ outta it and have plenty to go. Maybe you should have done some research on the prologue before you bought it if you like rushing thru games and not completing them fully. I’m not here to argue opinions and differences just sayin. Good day sir.

          • MrVux007

Ok lets make few things clear… my definition of masterpiece would be Peace Walker
            It’s
awesome. From holding people up to building your army to creating your
own Metal Gear, the game’s great at slowly rolling out all of the options at your
disposal and the comic cutscenes are beautiful, but I could’ve done with
more explanation for the nitty gritty……etc now lets take GZ for example it has mind blowing graphics (TRUE),it has mind blowing game-play mechanics(TRUE) and ofc as any MGS it has mind blowing story(TRUE)….. now here is where the good things end or rather (LACK OF THINGS) so your trying to tell me this is a master piece based on those 3 things? hmmm collecting XOF patches, doing short side ops missions, playing in a base that is so-so large open world, listening to recordings, reading about info about certen characters past will give hours and HOURS of content…..but im not sure that players are so much interested in that kind of things,(maybe those trophy hunters will be interested in that)and please PLEASE dont mention RE-PLAYABILITY that word is fucking overused for this game…….you can REPLAY every fucking game and get 100 of hours out of them….so in short, this game had so much good things as much as bad things, but its not as near as a masterpiece, maybe for you it is and i respect your opinion…. i always imagined GZ as in entering a really expensive restaurant where you pay a LOT to get SMALL amount of food wich is fkn delicius but YOU STILL WANT MOAR!

          • William of Orange

PW is not my favourite entry in the mgs series, but I get what you mean. The biggest difference between the replayability of PW and GZ is that PW wasn’t advertised as “the biggest and most groundbreaking” entry in the series, but more like a mgs game when you’re on the go. Sure, PW’s missions are relatively short and extremely linear, but don’t get me started on the amount of time I’ve put into this game and don’t forget that PW’s main campaign was at least 7 hours long and even then you still haven’t finished the game, because the real ending is available if you managed to create Zeke. It takes about 2 hours to construct that beast, since you have to defeat all the mechs without damaging the legparts, boosters, railgun, etc.
If people use replayability as an argument to defend MGSV:GZ, play PW again and then come back to me with your “argument”.

          • Solid Snakes Revenge

In peace walker you play the same handful of linear levels. Yeah gz is slacking on story but whateva. Im gonna enjoy my purchase and 100 percent it. Sorry you didn’t like the prologue more. Masterpiece is a bit overboard but when PP and MGO comes out MGSV as a whole will be a masterpiece in my opinion. I’m gonna go play GZ some more.

          • MrVux007

            Thank for being reasonable…..

          • Janeo

Sure you can replay any game but there is a big difference between replaying metal something like uncharted because you just have the same experience most of the time but GZ gives you freedom to do missions in different ways you can replay a mission and have a completely different experience. Calling this a demo is ridiculous this won’t be in TPP so it makes no sense calling it a demo it’s a prologue surly that can’t be argued with. We knew about the length we were even told that game testers could finish it in 5 minutes we knew it would be short we know what we are paying for and most of us are more then happy to do it since it’s been 4 years since the last mgs and we all wanted to get our hands on V, most people complaining are people who aren’t fans it’s like there scared that this is going to become a thing which is ridiculous we aren’t going to be sold prologues of games GZ will probably sell well but no one else is gonna try this not many games have the fan base of mgs and it is just such high quality fans are willing to buy it plus it’s worth the price anyway for fans like me.

          • William of Orange

It’s a dangerous trend, Janeo. But you couldn’t care less, I suppose.
It’s like your in 4th grade and out of nowhere , some kid says the word
“fuck” during class. If the teacher doesn’t intervene, the whole class thinks it’s okay to say “fuck”. So here’s another example for you, what if The Last Of Us 2 becomes an open world game wih stunning graphics, but in order to understand the story (whicht for some reason, Ellie is the main character of the game and Joel is nowhere to be found), you would have to pay 20$ for an hour and half long Prologue.

          • Janeo

Why do you say I couldn’t care less I don’t think I would pay for an hour an half gameplay for the last of us and probably not most games and when I buy GZ I will get so much more then a few hours out of it. I don’t know why people think this will become a thing GZ has a lot of good reasons for doing this, mgs will play very differently and this is for us to get use to the gameplay and give us an idea of how TPP will work, looking at the story it even makes sense to do this big boss goes into a 9 year coma so it’s going to feel good when we finally wake up in a year or so. We all wanted an mgs game soon and that’s what we got it. No games will do this because most games aren’t big enough to do this, I don’t think people realise how big TPP will be it’s going to have hundreds of hours of content. Most story driven games are around 5 to 15 hours so they are not big enough to offer 2 hours of play. If you didn’t like this you shouldn’t of bought the game you knew what it contained so you have no right to complain and try to get others on your side

          • William of Orange

Seriously, you’re telling an mgs fan to leave this one out? I bought MGR: Revengeance, for christ sake! Sure, I eventually sold MGR to a classmate of mine, but I at least completed the main story. FYI, I already bought the physical edition for ps4 and I told you before that you’re entitled to your own opinion, I’m trying to wear awareness and if you don’t agree with me and think I’m full of crap, fine by me,suit yourself.

          • Janeo

Why do you have to say you bought MGR does that somehow prove your a big fan, I already know your a big fan but just because you didn’t enjoy GZ as much as you thought doesn’t mean you should try and convince others it’s a demo and it’s a scam everyone here has heard this for weeks we all know what’s in this game so you should just let others make the decision whether they want to buy it or not and mind your own business

          • William of Orange

Janeo, ” We passed the point of having a “old fashioned”disscussion and we ended up in a situation were two groups hold a grudge against eachother”.It’s best for us to drop this, you don’t care what I have to say
            and vice versa.

          • Janeo

I agree actually we did take this to far, your never and I’m never gonna get you to mine I think your a nice guy and I do like you so I guess we shouldn’t take this to far. I just don’t think there is much of a chance of this becoming a trend and I will certainly be buying this because I love metal gear and I know I will love it just hope you end up having fun with this when you go through all the missions

          • William of Orange

Thanks and btw, I’ve obtained every casette and let me point out to you that my vision on gz became a bit nuanced, after listening to all of them. But we’re cool, right?

          • Janeo

Sure just because we dint feel the same way about one thing doesn’t mean we have to hate eachother we both love this series so of course we get fired up about some things just no need to hate eachother because of it in the end

          • MrVux007

Pls man we are talking about GZ here not TPP….. leave the future alone we are talking about the present…*No games will do this because most games aren’t big enough to do this*WHAT?*Most story driven games are around 5 to 15 hours so they are not big enough to offer 2 hours of play* YET AGAIN WHAT?* If you didn’t like this you shouldn’t of bought the game you knew what
it contained so you have no right to complain and try to get others on
your side* yes its his money so he has the right to complain,if people stopped complaining we would get the same shit like this done every fucking time……because people like us who *complain* actually make the gaming community a better place…if people didnt complain wed would pay 40$ instead of 30$…..William of Orange has a point, you on the other hand …..

          • Janeo

I’m saying he has no right to claim this is a demo and say gamers can’t stand up against things like this when he bought it himself. You can complain all you want all I’m saying there are many reasons why this game was released and if you didn’t like the way this was set up you shouldn’t of bought it, why don’t you go find some other site to complain on since everyone here knows what this game contains and are pretty much all fine with it

          • MrVux007

yes its for fans like us ….but for other people it will be a huge dissapointed

        • Jonny2x4

How could anyone listen to this Angry Joe dude for more than a minute without suffering from bleeding eardrums? I thought this “angry” reviewing fad died off years ago.

          • MrVux007

            Thank god it didn’t….

          • Jonny2x4

He really isn’t saying anything that hasn’t been said already elsewhere in a more sensible matter (like ProJared if you want another Youtuber). I don’t need to see 20 or so minutes of a grown man doing some silly sketches and yelling out loud in front of a camera like a clown (which is what all “angry reviewers” really are) just to parrot a polarizing opinion that I may agree with or not.

          • MrVux007

Or maybe telling the hard truth when its needed? ive already put this *discussion* to a close i suggest you do as-well….i sugest you watch the entire video

  • By the time I finished the main mission last night, I was 7 hours in.
The Phantom Pain is going to hold me to ransom, I just know it.

  • prothy

side ops are brilliant. really are

  • Regarding the “Demo thing”:

Even though i’m loving it i’m also one of the few that see the game as a demo, now, the difference is that i think that being a demo is not a bad thing, it shouldn’t be a big issue, it has a lot of content and the 20$ price, which is the lowest one, is right IMO, i think physical copies where made towards the fans and collectionists, who don´t mind paying a bit more for a box, which is great, because i prefer to own the game this way rather than digital.

i have been in a lot of discussions with friends these past days over GZ, and the major point in common i have seen with people is the lack of information, i think that the relation between price/content is fine, but i understand people complaints, even more if it’s someone who isn’t a big MGS fan, so, i think that people who doesn’t like the length or anything else, just doesn’t need to buy it then, wallets are a big way to show opinions. Some have said to me that it isn’t the consumers duty to be informed about what they buy, and that is true, but i think that without being informed, no one has a right to complain later… if a product doesn’t reach your expectations, and you wheren’t informed before that’s only consumers fault

This is why people *should* complain about the pricing skip to 17:15 and this is no BS….https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMoZKfx1dcw

It’s no use, Vux. We passed the point of having a “old fashioned”disscussion and we ended up in a situation were two groups hold a grudge against eachother.
      It’s sad, really sad.

      • MrVux007

Hopefully people will sooner or later open their eyes….i will put his topic to rest now,as Big Boss said it once :*It’s not about changing the world. It’s about doing our best to leave
the world… the way it is. It’s about respecting the will of others,
        and believing in your own.*

        • William of Orange

Yeah, I settled my differences with Janeo and it was actually the Boss who told BB to respect others, but BB and Cipher (Zero) misinterpreted her vision. Wtf am I doing, let’s drop this discussion once and for all.

          • MrVux007

Wait a minute….when you put it that way…..one of us is Big Boss and other is Zero….we must stop before we torn the world apart 😀

          • William of Orange

Yeah, we should! I mean, i’m kinda like BB, you show the same charestaristics as Zero.
You: No, I’m not! You sound like Zero!
Me: Shut the fuck up and go fuck yourself,Vux!
You: you should shut the fuck up, you ignorant piece of shit!
Donna Burke: UOOOOOOH,UOOOOUOOOH!!! Words that kill!

          • MrVux007

hahahaha this made my day! 😀

Just finished GZ. I really wish they hadn’t shown it in any of the trailers, I mean they pretty much showed it all, there were barely any surprises, if we hadn’t been shown any cutscenes that ending would’ve been a mindfuck but we already saw it in trailers, it made for fucking great trailers but it kind of spoiled the entire game save for the final 15 seconds of it.

I’m really enjoying the gameplay, it has some issues, the cover mechanic is borderline awful, I don’t know maybe it feels better in 60fps but it just does not work well, why can’t I knock? why can’t I enter any lockers, bins? etc.. I want more interaction with the world, more ways to hide but as far as the core sneaking goes I definitely enjoy it

PS3 version is not attractive, at all.. Character models look really nice, so does lighting and cutscenes but the rest is just a blurry mess with next to no draw distance, I really hope I somehow have a PS4 by the time TPP comes out, that or a PC version. Now was it worth the 30 bucks? I don’t know… I’m really happy I got to play a Metal Gear game and that I didn’t have to wait until (2015? 2016?) but I’d be lying if I said I was okay with any other developer pulling this kind of stuff.. I’m not saying there isn’t replay value to be found in here but ultimately there’s not a whole lot to this game, I probably wouldn’t have felt as bad if I bought it digitally, it’s literally half the price here in sweden. I can’t say I regret the purchase though, as I said I’m happy I got to play it

Kiefer was ehh, some lines I thought he pulled off, some he just sounds completely disinterested, and also he always sounds like he’s out of breath, like every single line in those cassette tapes are delivered as if he just got back from a run. I think I might be able to get used to Kiefer as Big Boss, if he does a good job with TPP then I might forget it’s Jack Bauer talking and accept it as Big Boss. Still I would’ve preferred they had gone for someone that isn’t famous and has a super recognizable voice.

I’m super excited for TPP and the gameplay is really promising, the openness of it all is just great, my favorite bits of MGS4 were ACT1 and 2’s more opened up areas and that’s pretty much all of GZ, just great fun sandbox sneaking with freedom in how you approach things

I honestly did not know this was a demo when I bought the game. I’m a HUGE mgs fan, since ps1, and I thought I was just really out of the loop. Bought it, finished ground zeroes mission, saw the credits roll, initially very disappointed, but I replayed it and all the side ops, got 100%, and it did exactly what they intended, got me stoked for the phantom pain.

  • YRD

there better be a good reward for 100% completion in this demo, for the phantom pain. I want an unfair advantage.
