Live game demo of MGSV: The Phantom Pain listed on IGN E3 schedule

While Kojima Productions made clear their 30 minute gameplay demonstration at E3 will take place behind closed doors, it looks like IGN has something to show next Thursday.

In their schedule of live game demos, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is listed on June 12th, at 5:20 PM PT.

Wether this is the same area as the one in the 30 minute play through or something else, is not clear at this point.

  • IGN… Blergh… These guys don’t know how to play games. They will waste all these 30 minutes for controlling Big Boss and talking about some random bullshit. It is IGN. Nothing changes.

    • If they are showing the 30mins gameplay they won’t be the one playing. Tan “Jacky” Ziang, who is the best player at Kojima Productions, will be the one playing while Sean Eyestone will be narrating.

      • Yeah. I hope so for that but not sure they will show 30 minutes demo at IGN. It’s too long for E3 streams because most of the journos won’t have enough time for every game on the showfloor. Maybe they will show a little bit of gameplay.

  • Could this just be a mistake from ign, they made it pretty clear the demo would be behind closed doors wouldn’t they have mentioned it if ign was doing something with the game

    • Well it’s probably not the same demo Jackie will be presenting. But when IGN first posted this schedule one of the dates was wrong, they changed it but MGSV TPP is still up there. So it doesn’t seem like a mistake. Maybe it’ll become clear in the coming days.

      • Well Kojima did say that the sneak peek was part of a gameplay that we were going to see at E3 so maybe that’s it?

…IGN might have assumed the Demo would be open to the public before Kojima Productions decided for a private showing of The Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain Demo which is why its listed on their page as a live-stream IGN hasn’t corrected that info yet. So unless Kojima Production is showing 2 different demo’s one behind closed doors for the press and the other for everyone else IGN needs to correct information on its site.

  • IGN is invited to see that 30mins presentation, that’s for sure. They have to clarify if what we’re going to see is that or a different demo that is much shorter. It would be dumb to keep one gameplay private while showing another live unless Kojjma is hiding something in the 30mins presentation like a boss fight for instance.

    • But don’t the people who see it get to write about everything they saw anyway I’m at least hoping for some in depth articles about everything that was seen in the demo

I wonder if MSF weapons will be in too, since the weapons have logos behind them. Unrelated picture.

My excitement for this game is making me over look the possibility of this being photo shopped. Where did you find this? Tell me your secrets.

      • You think that’s it? 😀 How about some Big Boss and Kaz crazy talk from a trailer?

and Yes, they are real and not photoshopped.
