Watch the 30 minute gameplay demo of MGSV at 60 frames per second

Konami has released a new version of the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain gameplay demo that was shown at E3, this time in 1080p and at 60 frames per second, as it will look on the PlayStation 4.

You can check out the video at Gamersyde or IGN (or watch it below, but there may be playback issues since it’s a heavy file). IGN video producer Caleb Lawson said on Twitter that while it’s still compressed, the video is ‘almost like seeing the game in person’.

  • Raiden

    Looks that much better.

  • Golgari

I hope that they can use youtube for 60 frames per second videos in the future.

    http://youtubecreator.blogspot.com.es/2014/06/look-ahead-creator-features-coming-to.html

youtube yesterday announced that you can upload 60 fps videos from now on. Yes! EA posted already a 60 fps video of Battlefield:Hardline on youtube as an example:

Kojima should put it’s 60 fps gorgeous on to youtube.

  • Vonkronberg

Already downloaded. Look so gorgeous. Much better!

    • César H. Sandoval

I want to DL it too but 6gigs is too damn much for half an hour of video, even if it is MGS lol.

      • Vonkronberg

Yeah, actually it´s too much for a video since the complete ground zeroes on PS3 is 4gb. But for the best MGS experience it´s ok.

      • Nekkedsnake

I have some ext hdds laying around so I figure I’d stow it away for safe keeping and offline viewing. My eyeballs melted.

  • Janeo

I have watched a few times and the game just looks so good. Does anyone here use that mgsf site I’m not a member but I read some threads and it seems like there are a lot of oeople complaining about a lot if things in this demo although from the few threads I have read there seems like all that site for is actually complaining about metal gear.

    • crimsonfox

I actually saw people complaining it’s to smooth -_- I have pretty much gave up on even trying to understand peoples opinions on Metal Gear on any site BUT this one. The only thing I’m not a big fan of personally it the regenerating health. But I completly understand why it is there. This demo was awsome to me though. What about you Janeo? is there anything about it you don’t like?

      • gerber

I actually like the regeneration of health for one reason. In PW during vehicle fights if you had rations equipped you were pretty much immortal for a moment and could afford to take a lot of hits. Here in mgs5 I think it will be much more intense when you are very underdog, like fighting a vehicle or tons of soldiers. I like the idea that you can actually die, which was hard to be done in PW

        • crimsonfox

I totally get that haha. It’s just a little awkward for me, but when it comes to longer battles and shoot outs, I’m sure I’ll appreciate it when the going gets tough haha

        • No Place For Hayter

And that makes sense and all, but if you are going for realism why not have a more realistic health system? Like the health system in MGS3, that was heavily realistic and much fun to use.

I have two things to say about the rations in Peace Walker,
          1) Yeah they can really be abused, but only if you know what you are doing if you run around like a tard you will run out of rations, the only thing I see it doing is preventing you from dying instantly which in my books isn’t a bad thing, and if someone doesn’t want that they can simply remove the auto use feature of the ration, without having to either remove the ration and or creating a new system of healing.
          2) While what you say holds true for the first 3/5 of the game the last 2/5 is impossible without the auto use of the ration, because the toughest bosses in the game deal more damage than you have health and armor, so in order not to die instantly you need to have the ration equipped when fighting them, I think the only way to survive a shot against them is having the best armor and to take a 9999 health soldier into the battle instead of snake, and even with this some end game bosses still will kill you in one hit without rations equipped (final Gear Rex anyone?).

          • gerber

mgs3 health system would be the best. I like the instant death anyway. because instead of the monster hunterish rpg boss feel, you get more real life intense situation where one dumb move makes a difference beetween life and death. When I just got hit in the face with a rocket, I want to be dead, haha. About 2) you are right, some toughest battles in PW were challenging sometimes, especially well customized ZEKE. But up to that point I had battle suit with helmet, and in game description of this suit says: “Turns a soldier into a walking tank” and this is so true. On a side note, I still love PW and it will never stop to amaze me how they squeezed such an awesome and addicting game into a psp.

          • No Place For Hayter

You make a good might about instant death, I agree.

Yeah I love peace walker, it is the quality of a MGS game put on a handheld, I was amazed by the whole game but what shocked me was the co-op, I am not an online gamer and thus don’t ever part take in co-op, but I played a bit of peace walker with a friend and I was blown away when I got in the AI pod and the machine got back up and the other player still got to fight it when I was in the pod, it was a very interesting and well put together co-op system.

          • gerber

Exactly, I have a good friend who is also huge fan of mgs and coop mgs experience is amazing. Is it known if Phantom Pain has 2 man coop like PW? Imagine the possibilities, like one scouting and the other one infiltrating, or one doing diversion while the other gets the job done inside the base

      • Josh Houchin

I love how smooth the gameplay is… But I think that 60fps during the cutscenes does NOT look flattering. It makes the cutscenes look like I’m watching them on a poorly calibrated TV with Auto Motion Plus. I wish there was a way to watch the cutscenes at 30 fps while enjoying the gameplay at 60.

        • crimsonfox

I read that a few times. I don’t know I think it looks cool. Hopefully their will be an option for people that don’t dig it as much such as yourself. Because if you’re anything like me. You plan on playing this bad boy for a long time! haha but oh well

          • Josh Houchin

I will admit that after spending a lot of time with Ground Zeroes, I have gotten a little more used to the way it looks. And even if there is no option to watch the cutscenes at 30fps, I’ll still be playing TPP for years to come.

          • crimsonfox

And in that regard we are brothers in Diamond Dog’s arm’s. No FPS is going to stop us…We shall prevail. All Hail Big Boss AND IF YOU AINT DOWN WITH THAT I GOT TWO WORDS FOR YA!!! http://i41.tinypic.com/2ljiyyp.gif

          • Josh Houchin

            Ha! Long live Vic Boss!

        • WhatTheJuicay

I agree with you completely Josh. Though I think the only solution for us who are annoyed by it is to tweak it on our TVs. I have a 2009 Bravia TV that has a Theater mode. Its pretty much self explanatory. I only tweaked it a little to my satisfaction. I had to turn it on the first time I played Ground Zeroes. It irked me watching cutscenes move so fast. It looked nothing like the trailers I watched.

Its been a while since I played main GZ mission and watched the cutscenes, but I think somehow, my eyes have gotten used to it. I’ll have to play later today and make sure theater mode isn’t on to see how i like it now.

          • Josh Houchin

Good call. I will try to adjust my TV settings as well and see if I can’t find a happy medium. Yet another reason it’s good to have GZ around!

      • Janeo

The only thing that kind of bugs me is big boss not talking during gameplay it’s fine most of the time but kind of annoying when kaz is complaining about how Amanda sounds to cheerful and snake has no response. I don’t think any metal gear character has talked during gameplay before but it’s a bit more noticeable here, I’m fine with him not talking as much just a few more responses would be nice I like how he didn’t talk to ocelot in the cutscene though. As for regenerating health, I actually like it a lot on hard a few bullets or a single explosion will kill you it will be even cooler if if TPP has higher difficulty levels which I think is a good chance of happening.

  • crimsonfox
  • César H. Sandoval

The game looks beautiful, 60FPS should be a nextgen standard.

    • No Place For Hayter

Yeah, it is funny how high FPS in movies makes it look theater cheap, yet in video games high FPS like 60FPS looks amazing, and only serves to better the experience.

  • PrinceHeir

    Looks amazing 😀

PS4 is definitely the definitive version ^^

  • PrinceHeir

Btw since MGSV TPP is still ways off, i’m curious on what other stealth games mgsinformer community plays besides MGS of course?

    1. Deus Ex series

    http://www.feralinteractive.com/data/games/deusexhr/images/home/forth.jpg

I love cyberpunk themes and this was the perfect game for its genre. Although the first game was clunky and very dated, it introduce a lot of interesting elements like hacking, multiple path ways, social interaction combine in an era on what makes a human, human. Human Revolution is the Resident Evil 4 of Gen 7. No matter how many times you play it, it never get’s old. Amazing level design, ambient music, interesting characters(needed to be fleshed out though) and even though the gameplay feels dated after playing Ground Zeroes, it’s still amazing and can be very addicting.

Boss fights can be frustrating and broken if you were to build an all stealth approach, at least they somewhat fixed this with the Director’s Cut edition. Still broken though.

Still, it’s one of the few Gen 7 games that i played more than 3 times something i can’t say for MGS4. I do wish it had a full 3rd person view mode.

Plus Adam Jensen is badass as hell!! “I never ask for this” will be one his motto’s for years to come, just like Snake’s “Kept you waiting”. And who doesn’t like this pic high fiving the legendary hero Big Boss!?!

    http://27.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lqcvcqaNxm1qer56zo1_500.jpg

    2. Hitman Series

    http://hdwpapers.com/walls/hitman_absolution_1080p_wallpaper-HD.jpg

An interesting take on the genre. It’s more of a assassination game than a stealth game, however stealth still plays a significant role in this series. Killing your targets in unique ways while being silent is one of the satisfying things you can do for the series. Even though Absolution became linear and lost it’s sandbox style. Hopefully the next gen entry will return to its former glory. They already confirmed the invisible switch guns will no longer return, so that’s a right step for the franchise!

    3. Tenchu/Shinobido

    http://thesounddaily.com/wp-content/uploads/Tenchu-tsdbanner-960×460.jpg

    http://37.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lvlhkpVC9T1qgr100o1_400.jpg

It’s pretty much Metal Gear in Ninja mode. Same camera angles, radar system, alert system. Even took MGS2’s cover system. But the thing that differentiates is how you kill your enemies(this came before Hitman though). It has those cinematic pauses when you kill enemies by performing stealth kills or back stabs. It even has unique weapons like poison sushi or bomb sushi(yes bomb sushi) as well as grappling hook in order to traverse through rooftops. Though Shinobido uses a more fast paced gliding system(think a squirrel gliding through town). It’s mission system is similar to older Hitman games(or the other way around) where it’s mission based instead of story based. Both games are amazing and definitely better on whatever Assassins Creed is trying to do(it doesn’t feel like a stealth game at all). I do wish for a next gen game by Acquire or From Software.

Unfortunately i don’t play first person stealth games like Thief(i’m aware Deadly Shadows has a TPS mode) and Dishonored. I just prefer seeing my character doing all these stunts and being sneaky as possible. I’m aware that the third person camera view can be abusive(defeats the purpose of peaking), but i really prefer seeing my character in action.

One thing missing is the Splinter Cell series. I gave the series many chances, but i just couldn’t like it. The older games were really really slow(even slower than Tenchu games) and animation are really clunky as hell. Couldn’t get into Sam Fisher in general. He’s just bland despite being a veteran in the field. Even though i like Blacklist and even finish the game. it got boring too quickly, no replay value and it’s more an action game than even the latest Hitman Absolution game. Sorry Splinter Cell, you had your chances.

So any Stealth games you play besides these?!?!

    • No Place For Hayter

Funnily enough, I don’t seek out stealth games when I have no Metal Gear, though I do laugh at every game I do play that has a half baked, half implemented stealth mechanic because it is never done right, but I don’t often play games that are ALL stealth aside from Metal Gear, I don’t know why maybe because I believe nothing will deliver the kind of stealth that Metal Gear has, or maybe because I’m bogged down in games I still have to play that I never think about playing anything in the near future that is not on the long list of games I have to play. When ever something comes up in a stealth mechanic or a stealth game I play I always compare it to Metal Gear on what to do and what not to do, It has been a while since I played Dishonored but the stealth in it was ummmm not as good as Metal Gear Solid? I guess for me the stealth experience is just never right unless it’s Metal Gear Solid, I primarily think it is because of the mindset that Kojima Productions has when making a stealth game, every other game developer sees stealth differently than they do, and thus create a different experience aka not the fun stealth I know from MGS, but to be honest I have not played many “Stealth” games outside of MGS so there might be plenty of good ones out there, like the ones you mentioned, I have just not played them yet.

I tried playing Splinter Cell too (though I played a bit of each of the first three games on the HD collection) it just didn’t grab me,I guess it is just not a game for me, it just doesn’t offer the stealth elements that I appreciate or the stealth that is fun, to me it seemed more like a chore to stealth than something fun and creative, though I will say I do think the “Shadows” mechanic is really cool, but aside from that I just didn’t really enjoy it a whole lot, I might go finish the first three games in the future but for now they have lost my interest.

      • PrinceHeir

I think it’s probably the style or flair of the MGS games that made you miss them.

It doesn’t have the gripping story nor the characters you care like in the games. And probably the boss fights were few if not a selected number of games can implement it right.

Dishonored was cool, but i just can’t feel playing a first person stealth game. Deus Ex HR was an exception because the game is still in TPS when you aim on cover or move from place to place.

And yeah i agree with you with the Splinter Cell series. It’s more chore and not a fun game to play. You just sneak to shadows and that’s it. No unique gameplay elements or anything. I guess it’s more realistic take on the genre, but realistic games are boring as hell.

I suggest for you to play Deus Ex Human Revolution Director’s Cut. It’s probably much closer to MGS in terms of stealth. It’ll give you a new perspective of the genre. And the characters are cool, but just needed some more backstory. Gameplay is addicting despite being dated now and Ai can feel dumb at times though.

        • No Place For Hayter

Now I have another game to play, looking forward to checking out DE-HR, at the very least I know I will have a fun time playing the game.

    • Nekkedsnake

Tot agree with u on the 3PV. I like seeing my character doing all the cool moves. Like, if a character has really cool hi res model, why hide it away from the player? Ex: the Exo suit in Crysis. That thing looks so sick but yet is rarely seen by the player cuz it’s an FPS. Meh. Best 3PV games I enjoy: MGS, Uncharted, KOTOR 1-2, Tomb Raider, GTA, etc.

Stealth genre wise I do enjoy the DX series. I really suck at PC games cuz of Kb controls but DX and DXIW are fun. DXHR is great and added 3PV during cover. I even play DXTF on my phone. The only splinter cell I seem to like is Conviction. I might be in the odds here but I like how it feels.

    • crimsonfox

      Tenchu was awesome!

    • Invader_skoodge

You know, I’m doing another playthrough of LoZ: Wind Waker, and at the beginning of the game. I immediately thought of Metal Gear Solid. I mean, it’s like they took all the stealth from Metal Gear and put it in a Legend of Zelda game. The crawling, the hiding in barrels(boxes), avoiding the searchlights and sneaking inside crawlspaces(air ducts) also weapons OSP, come on. It’s the best of both worlds for me really.

      • PrinceHeir

        Awesome!!

Definitely getting the Wii U remake version 🙂

Here’s another one that reminds me of this.

No More Heroes 2 MGS style Prision stage.

        http://youtu.be/T1aFtyDKcF4?t=48s

It’s like MGS1 Shadow Moses! Even some of the bosses are a homage to the series.

    • Venom Snake

For now Sniper Elite 3, which i recommend as a “Waiting for Phantom Pain” Game!

    • RoderickThe13

Dishonored was great. I also prefer third person stealth games, but i really enjoyed it, specially how you always have at least three ways for completing the objectives and it gives you a lot of space for creativity. I also liked The Last of Us a lot, although it wasn’t exactly a stealth game it played a major role, and was perfectly incorporated, particularly in the multiplayer where it isn’t easy to add.

    • Janeo

I loved dues ex when I played back in 2011 but I played through again recently and it didn’t feel like the game has aged well the combat was just so awkward, the stealth was still pretty fun though. I have always had a lot of fun with hitman games it’s a really fun different kind of stealth very different then metal gear so I don’t compare it often which really helps hitman a lot. I have never seen what the huge deal is with splinter cell I enjoyed double agent and conviction but the one that fans say is the best chaos theory bored the hell out of me I dint get what people see in that game it’s just to dark all the time you have to always be wearing night vision google and it’s just to much waiting for the enemy past I didn’t feel like I had any freedom at all.

I have never heard of tenchu but what you said about it has got me a little interested I might have to try it out sometime from what you said it kinda sounds like metal gear solid 2 with a sword.

      • PrinceHeir

The good thing about both Deus Ex and Hitman is that it offers something completely different that makes them stand out rather than being called MGS clones.

I think people hype Splinter Cell as the Xbox MGS game(at the time, even though it was multiplatform), and yeah i’m official done with Splinter Cell after Blacklist.

Here’s a sample gameplay of one of the Tenchu Games(Tenchu 3 Wrath of Heaven)

You’ll see tons of MGS gameplay elements that were implemented here(cover system, alert system etc)

Here’s Shinobido for the PS2 game. It’s a much faster and more darker Tenchu series. I’m guessing Acquire made this since they actually lost the license awhile back(but recently got it back)

And the MGS music is just custom music XD

        • Janeo

They look like a whole lot of fun are any available on the psn store I wouldn’t mind giving them a try. I would love to see a tenchu game today maybe on wii u I think they could make a really great game.

        • BigBoss_88

Tenchu 3 ftw =), good memories from PS2 days. Rikimaru kicks ass.

    • BigBoss_88

Not sure if this might be weird, but I have tried to play other kind of stealth games for a while. But for some reason, I just can’t play them or not interested playing them. Actually it’s the same with pretty many other games lately. Steam even has the summer sales going on, many good games I’m sure but not interested in buying :(… I think the reason is because they’re not MGS, I’m just so damn excited for TPP that it’s all I’m thinking about lol… MGS is just literally the best game series for me ever! So I have been playing other MGS games for some time, AGAIN, while waiting for The Phantom Pain ;D.

Anyway that said, I have played some other stealth games sure during the years, mostly only one playthrough though. MGS is the only stealth-game series, where I play each game countless times because they just have a special place in my heart.

1.) I liked playing Deus Ex: Human Revolution few years back. The scifi setting was nice with good amount of stealth gameplay. I was glad it showed Jensen in 3rd person when taking cover or stealth killing, as I prefer that more than 1st person view. Bought it in steam sale recently, but can’t get into it anymore.
2.) Hitman games I used to play when I was younger, they were pretty fun for a while. Played Absolution a little in Steam, but it’s not the kind of stealth game I like to play for long time.
3.) Dishonored I have tried to play for some time, it’s been pretty fun game so far. But I prefer games with 3rd person view to see my character.
4.) Tenchu3: Wrath of Heaven was actually one of my favorite games on PS2 back in the good old days. Now that I think about it, that was one stealth game besides MGS that I used to play a lot with my brother. It was nice to play as the ninja Rikimaru, the missions were hard and the 1vs1 mode was fun.
5.) Splinter Cell I once tried, played maybe like 30 min and I was just like….naaaah. It just wasn’ for me, not sure how to explain it. But, MGS is just a lot more appealing to me, it has everything I want from a good game. Some prefer to play SC, but I just don’t understand why. MGS has so much unique stuff, like Metal Gear, Cyborg Ninja, Solid Snake and Big Boss, also Kojima humor. I mean hell, just so much amazing stuff packed in one game.
Is there some good/fun stealth games you could recommend for me, while waiting for TPP? If I could get into them this time.

      • PrinceHeir

Well you pretty much played all of my recommended list.

If you want TPS with horror into it, go buy Evil Within which is coming up this October.

That will keep you busy till Phantom Pain comes out. Plus if your a fan of Resident Evil 4, Mikami is the same director of both games so you’ll love it as well!!

Definitely my most anticipated game this year!!

        • BigBoss_88

Hmmm, thanks :D! Yeah I watched Evil Within trailer, it looks intense. I do love Resident Evils ever since the first one, 4 is one of my favorites too and I’m glad Mikami is directing it. Will surely pick it up :)!

    • Raiden

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (sneaky as an archer).

Sniper Elite series (part 3 is out soon!!!!!).

Deus Ex: Human Revolution (one of my fav! Has that MGS atmosphere).

Thief (loved the stealth in that one).

Far Cry series has awesome stealth.

      Hitman series has great stealth.

Splinter Cell series is my second favorite stealth gaming franchise in all of gaming. Splinter Cell: Blacklist is a perfect turn to the right direction from the awesome yet away from the series Conviction. It’s a sweet middle ground between the Panther-like action of Conviction and the Ghost-like stealth of Chaos Theory. The delightful improbable success of this compromise is a testament to game design that always has choice in mind. Those level designs were all some of the best in stealth gaming. It’s well worth replaying the campaign with an alternate playstyle, a different set of preferred gadgets, and/or on Perfectionist mode.

      • Shadow Rex

I purchased both Blacklist and Sniper Elite 3 recently for my brother and I, so we could play co-op. We will have to go back and give them another try later, but we were both disappointed with the gameplay in both. Which sucks especially for Sniper Elite 3, as we enjoyed the second one quite a bit. Skyrim is great, my brother is actually playing it as I type this, Deus Ex: Human Revolution was amazing, loved the ending. I loved the first Far Cry way back when it was Developed by Crytek and Hitman has had some fun iterations. Enjoy Arma 2 and 3 both online and off, as you can have some great stealth moments.

  • Nekkedsnake

I decided to download the 6GB+ beast of a file to access it whenever I please. Took all day on torrent but it was worth it.

This not only looks Fucking incredible, but sounds amazing. So smooth and seamless. Makes me long for a PS4 but my PS3 will do just fine. I literally felt like I was with BB and Middle Age Ocelot. I even rewatched the GDC 2013 60FPS trailer as well as the Mike Oldfield 60FPS trailer to complement this. All we need is that release date!

    • Vonkronberg

Yeah, we just need the damned fucking date.

  • Cartmangus

Gamersyde releasing a metal gear… trailer? My dick just imploded

6gb in size, ahh fucking come at me, I’ll swallow it all.

  • vincent

The game looks great, but i wish the enemies would react more to people who are being “fultoned”. Like it just seems weird that the guys scream while they’re being lifted and no one bats an eye. Other than that the game is amazing. I CANNOT WAIT!

  • Shadow Rex

I downloaded, but some sections are corrupt. 🙁

    • Shadow Rex

How awesome does Motherbase look in 1080p 60fps!

      • BigBoss_88

        Incredibly awesome :D!

  • Cartmangus

    That fucking character model http://i.imgur.com/i8xhJFV.jpg

    • Holy shit, it looked great during the stream, but now it just looks amazing.

      • Cartmangus

Yeah that is some crazy impressive shit. I also noticed it used the same animation from the Ground Zeroes trailers and did a little comparison

        http://i.imgur.com/9tcKlvk.jpg
        http://i.imgur.com/4Hr5AkD.jpg

The difference is pretty huge. Not just in visuals but the shit this guy has been through.

        • Venom Snake

Also he does look older then in GZ which i’m happy!

        • PrinceHeir

I hope we could use the Ground Zeroes sneaking suit for selection in Phantom Pain like they did with Peace Walker’s multiple costumes.

That suit us too iconic to be thrown out 😛

          • Janeo

I agree that suit is my favourite sneaking suit, we will be going to plenty of bases and I can’t think of a suit more perfect to infiltrate enemy bases with.

        • BigBoss_88

Yea I agree, Big Boss looks really awesome in TPP. I love the details like scars, as he has been through countless battles, to hell and back. The whole character model just looks freakin’ badass!

        • jatin

do you feel there will be a leather jacket in the final game.

  • Cartmangus

    http://i.imgur.com/gIqFmpu.jpg

Noticed that green lit door this time around when watching, hopefully that means interiors for Motherbase, may seem like an obvious thing to include but nice to see anyways.

    • MrVux007

imagine this …..customizing BB own crib (*_*)

  • Cartmangus

Now for people telling me I’m picky with my bitrates. Here’s youtube 1080p in motion vs. Actual 1080p

    hopefully no graphics downgrade

  • LukesAlike

    THEXTHY.

  • Stang

Holy shit, this looks amazing. Has the E3 trailer been uploaded in 1080p, 60fps?

  • CrazyGuy207

I sure hope for Phantom Pain they fix, or add, the “add your own music” thing. Maybe they can use their servers for adding mp3’s online through the cloud or something, I don’t know.

    • PrinceHeir

Sony needs to implement mp3, mp4, flac and mkv support fast!

And please can we add mor than 10 songs!?! I have too many songs to put that fits the game perfectly.

      Maybe 50 or 100?? 😀

      • CrazyGuy207

Well, IF they do it through the cloud, which they won’t because it was just an idea, I’m not sure how many songs their (Konami/Kojima) servers could hold.

    • BigBoss_88

PS4 need support for mp3, mp4 files this year. I hate it when they still haven’t implemented that after so many months since the console released. It shouldn’t be that hard to add it…I really wanna put my own songs to the game :), like I wanted with Ground Zeroes. There is Music Unlimited, but I think it kinda sucks, it works slowly and disconnects often. Anyway, lets hope they add that kind of music thing to TPP :D!

  • BigBoss_88

That looks so incredible, so smooth :D! Give me the game now Kojima-san! NOOOOOOW!

  • CrazyGuy207

Someone should download this and play it on one of those 4K UHD TV’s. I just saw one at Best Buy and, damn, it’s almost better than real life.

Lol, just saw the new poll. You want to know exactly what I thought last week “you know what would make a good poll? a poll asking what your favorite trailer for TPP is, and also putting in the song title of the song used in the trailer if someone doesn’t know what event the trailer came from” so it is really funny to have exactly that be the next poll I see.

Why not much love for GDC 2013? it is like the greatest reveal trailer of all time, it might not be the best trailer (maybe) but the teasing and lead up that was created by Moby Dick Studio, Ground Zeroes, and Kojima, the way all of that was perfectly put together in a reveal trailer of that magnitude, and in the middle of the trailer after we get past the first lyrics part and it goes all instrumental and we are then shown during this part that TPP is MGSV, and then we kick back in to lyrics with a whole bunch of awesome new stuff to show now that we know that TPP is MGSV. I l really love all the trailers but the reveal that is the GDC 2013 trailer holds something special.

    • BigBoss_88

I love the GDC trailer the most :D. It was really the first trailer to COMPLETELY confirm, that this game is going to be MGSV and that GZ + TPP are the same damn game. I was like WOOOOOAH HELL YEAH, THANK YOU GOD/KOJIMA! Even though…many of us probably new already from the very first short trailer, where a guy with beard is crawling on the hospital, that it was gonna be MGSV. Also “Not Your Kind Of People” just fits with the trailer so well, some people don’t like it, but Kojima has a great music taste imo.

The GDC trailer had so many epic, mysterious and supernatural parts, that dropped my jaw. The beginning part revealing Big Boss going to coma, hospital escape…with no strength and being hunted by unknown soldiers and Mother Base being destroyed…I was like WHAT!?
Also maybe 2 of my most favorites fire-unicorn scene with Ocelot and helicopter part where Big Boss looks shocked, with a bloody and burnt face. Really looking forward to those scenes in TPP, they look so beautiful. I still watch this trailer almost every day with teary eyes, even though it has been over a year already since it was released. I love all the trailers also, they are all amazing but “Not Your Kind of People” trailer is perhaps just the best and most special for me :).
I think some people might not even know about the trailer or have seen it, I dunno. But I hope it gets more love too ^_^. Now we just need a trailer that shows us a release date…

      • No Place For Hayter

Agreed, now that you mention it I do tend to find myself watching the GDC 2013 trailer much more than the others, even though I love them too, most obviously because it is my favorite, but i never really noticed until now that I watch it the most, lol.

Agreed, a release date is all we need now, if we got a release date I could sit back and chill until release, but without one I feel like a lost puppy, lol.

        • Janeo

It’s very hard without a release date but I do remember kojima saying they didn’t want to announce the date until the game was complete is we might just get one out of nowhere like we did with GZ.

          • BigBoss_88

Yeah you could be right. I just hope Kojima announces the release date maybe late this year or early 2015. To be honest, I hope TPP gets released before next years E3, because I don’t really want to see another trailer of it. If we get yet another one, then it might spoil too much of TPP, not sure. I do really love trailers made by Kojima, but I hope they don’t wait for E32015 to reveal it. I’m still having high hopes for maybe March-May next year, as the GZ DLC hinted, “Come back early 2015 to claim”

          • No Place For Hayter

:'( we only need the year its gonna be released, in all honesty though I do want a release date but I’m more willing to give them as much time as they need to finish the game.

          • Janeo

Yeah should really just give us the year I mean I think it’s coming put 2015 but there is always the fear that it will be coming 2016 so I wish they would give us the year that way I could keep my hype in check

  • martin mcquillan

I appreciate the fan base. A long time waiting. Zzzz. Guess who this is… Your welcome..
