In two days, Hideo Kojima will present brand new Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain gameplay during a special event related to Gamescom, taking place in Cologne, Germany. Kojima and his team have already left for Europe, arriving at their destination just now.

Does that checking the video player mean a new trailer?

    • Invader_skoodge

That’s what I was wondering as well. I’m not sure if it’s a trailer, or is it like an introduction video to the conference, like Welcome to Konami’s Preview Show Gala blah blah blah. I’m looking forward to it either way.

    • Ravenous

Doesn’t have to: if you look in the top right corner there’s a tiny glimpse of the play-time of the video along with the progression tracker, and to my eyes it looks like the playtime on that thing could be 2:15, 2:16 or 2:18 judging by the width and shape of the lowest parts of the numbers…
It might be a short gameplay-trailer that’s gonna be played on a loop on their stand or something, but it would be awsome if we get another trailer 🙂

Yeah, it’s probably more of an “intro” video than a full-blown trailer. I can’t see him putting a title card like that in the trailer. I can see it pausing on the title card as they roll onto stage

the first thing I thought was one of tpp”s main theme song but could an intro but I prefer a short 2 minute trailer about venom Diamond dogs or outer heaven.

TWO MORE DAYS, ZOMG, lol, can’t wait for more gameplay and ground breaking content.

My wishlist for MGSV’s Gamescom event:

    1. Release date.
    2. MGO footage.
    3. Elaboration on previously mentioned content (Like the “Buddy System” that was mentioned awhile ago)
    4. 5 minute presentation exploring somewhere besides Afghanistan. Nothing story oriented to avoid spoilers.
    5. (if they do number 4), show Big Boss speak more, and respond when spoken to. Not be a silent RPG mute character.

Of course, maybe 1 or 2 out of that list would happen, but I’m not expecting it. Just wishful thinking.

      i want 1 and 2 100%

Hahaha! RPG mute character! That was a good one. Oh and nice username dude. 😉

      • Shalashaska Has Landed..

Haha. It’s true. Hopefully there won’t be any more awkward moments of dead air silence within a lengthy conversation, like that 30 minute gameplay opening cutscene. And thanks =)

I do want some new gameplay though! Also Ground Zeroes suit can be used in Phantom Pain please!
