I don´t understand why the player didn´t know how to play it.

      Me Neither.

My Kanji is very limited, but the options in graphics settings in Katakana are as follows (numerically, from top down):

          Graphics settings:
          ———————–
          1. Window Mode
          2. Resolution
          3. Display
          4. ???
          5. Frame Rate
          6. Model Detail
          7. Texture
          8. Texture Filtering
          9. Shadows
          10. Light (presumably lighting)
          11. Screen Filtering
          12. Screen Space Ambient Occlusion
          13. Effect

Controls (again, very limited Kanji knowledge)
          ————
          W – Forward
          S – Back
          A – Left
          D – Right
          Shift – Dash button
          E – Action button

    • Big_Boss88

Option settings seems to be great and thx for the video :).

      • MichaelPayneV

        You’re welcome.

    • Chris Redfield

that’s easy…buy an Xbox 360 Wired USB Controller and play with it just like u play in the Xbox…simple

      • MichaelPayneV

Maybe i don’t enjoy controllers, how about that?

        • Chris Redfield

well then fuck u simple like that 🙂

          • MichaelPayneV

            The feeling is mutual.

          • Chris Redfield

            that’s good then

        • Shalashaska

i’d choose a pc over a console any day..only thing is though.. what do you guys with the mouse for the sensitivity ? like press slightly for walk, more for run.. or like gow gta has the speed in cars with the left trigger.. what do you guys do for that stuff ? or how in this game where if you want one shot fired. you give a slight tap on the trigger..

          • MichaelPayneV

Is complicated to explain, but easy to do.

  • MichaelPayneV

    I just noticed something weird.
Isn’t Snake Supposed to the the Get up animation when Starting a Mission? In the PC Version he doesn’t!
So we already have 1 animation missing. What The Actual F.?
    http://youtu.be/-rEscurx-C0?t=5m56s

    • Big_Boss88

If I remember correctly, on my PS4 GZ Big Boss sometimes gets up when choosing a mission and sometimes he don’t.

      • MichaelPayneV

Oh, i thought he is always getting up.

The reason i’m concerned is because PES 15 the most Recent Fox Engine Game on PC has a lot of missing animations, for example it doesn’t show the player going on the stadium, it just telleports them.

Anyway, is pretty obvious that Kojima Prod. has little to no knowledge regarding a PC Game, but i’m not Mad since this is Ground Zeroes, and that Hopefully they will collect feedback from Ground Zeroes PC Player to use for Phantom Pain, to finally get right the Graphics Options and the Controls.

        • Big_Boss88

Np :), I’m sure they will put the feedback into good use :D. I haven’t played much PES or FIFA for a while, so I can’t say anything about that missing animations stuff.

          • MichaelPayneV

What i’m saying is that i will give Kojima a pass with how the PC Port of Ground Zeroes is shaping up, as long as the ‘ll give for The Phantom Pain they proper Descriptions for the Graphics Settings, i mean you don’t measure Texture and Scree Filtering with Low and Extra High, No, you do it with 2X to 16X or even 32X, add Tessellation and Anti-aliasing, give it the Original Development Textures, no the down scaled ones that end up on the Consoles versions, and last but not least add Mouse in Menus already!

If they do this to TPP, then i’ll gladly pay 60$ for it Day 1.

  • Big_Boss88

Looks really good and I’m so glad controller is available to play with :D. Certain games feel a lot better to play this way imo, like Dark Souls or MGS etc.

    • MichaelPayneV

Actually i think MGS will be better with Mouse and Keyboard, especially when using the Tranq Gun with Auto-Aim Off

      • Big_Boss88

Hmm maybe, but it depends on how you are used to play games. FPS games are mostly the kind of games which I like to play with K+M :). But I will try both ways with my PC Ground Zeroes and see how it goes <3.

      • moto hellogoto

I’m mainly a pc gamer and I’m use to playing with m+k but I’ve always used a controller with MGS so it would feel weird using a mouse and keyboard with it. I plan on buying an xbox one controller and using that.

        • Shadow Rex

The problem I think we face with K+M is that we can’t be incremental with our movement, might make sneaking a little harder. I want controller and mouse lol.

  • XIFF-5

No Kojima, No Kojima Station. Sorry

    • MrVux007

      ..?

  • Guest

yea sorry not a deal breaker for me….guess ill have to wait for a proper HD footage(this guy obviusly never played with keyboard and mouse before lol) to see if anything major (except the drawing distance) has been added …

  • MrVux007

Nope, not a deal breaker for me sorry…unless they add anything major (beside drawing distance and lighting)..so far differences are not mind blowing, but then again we have to watch a proper demostration HD gameplay video (cuz this guy obviusly never played with K/M before lol) to give it a final judgement…

  • gerber

Since I’ll be getting TPP on PS3, I wonder will they show at least some footage for the old gen. In GZ on ps3 the grass pops up right in front of you. I am really curious to see Africa on old gen consoles

    • MichaelPayneV

I won’t be surprised if the Last Gen versions end up getting Canceled, just like it happened with Dying Light.

      • Invader_skoodge

I wouldn’t go as far as saying those versions will be cancelled. Konami really squeezes every last cent out of the MGS franchise so not releasing the game to millions of people who have ps3/xb360s is a no-no on the business end. I bought GZ digital on PS3 because it was the cheapest. Yes it had pop-in textures but as far as I’m concerned the gameplay is the same and the story is the same. I think with the FOX engine the old consoles would perform like mid-range PCs locked at 30fps and low to medium settings. But we never know.

      • decoyF0XX

I really hope it gets cancelled, it would be a disservice to the game. Didn’t enjoy GZ much on my ps3.

        • Shalashaska

The fox engine was made for the old gen. for all we know, the release date extended when the announced the next gen consoles. i’ve clocked 100+ hrs on x360 and absolutely loved it.. had really less pop-in issues.. nothing that spoilt the game and nothing that worried me ..when such amazing gameplay is at hand.. visuals dont matter so i hope and pray that the release it to everyone. a disservice to a game is not allowing everyone who can to play it. I’ve been dieing for this game, buddy. and i really hope they dont cancel it. a disservice would be cancelling the game.

and honestly, how did you not enjoy gz on your ps3 ? i dont understand why ps3 players had such an issue when the x360 version played fine.. i never had major pop-in issues, never did it ruin the game for me and it never spoilt aything.. it ran smoothly for the most part of it. and thats how i A ranked everything and have gotten 100+hrs on the game.. hell i played it for 3 hrs last night and the game didnt get spoilt for me :s

and lets be honest.. gz was a beta/demo.. many issues people had in gz could be fixed in TPP

          • decoyF0XX

I feel you man, although I really enjoyed the game, like gameplay wise, I mean, I put a lot of hours into it too, there were a few things, especially the framerate and resolution, that spoilt the experience a bit. I’m not even crazy about those things but it was obvious that this game was not a ps3 game anymore. I feel if it’s only released on current gen consoles, people would be forced to go out and buy them :p and in turn have the optimal experience which they deserve.

          • Shalashaska

            1. i dont have enough cash to get a current gen console or to upgrade my pc so if they go about only releasing it for current gen, im not gonna go out and get a ps4 because i cant and wont be able to for atleast a year after release because where i live, the consoles are expensive 😛
            2. i dont know why people had issues with it, honestly i see only ps3 people whining about it.. i have a x360 and it worked perfectly for me even when speed running, i even had times where i went bezerk blowing shit up and i had no drop of frame rate or resolution issues.. i’ve played 100+ hours in the game, got s ranks for everything, speed run it and even now i play the game but i honestly dont have any issue with this game…
            3. I think people gotta stop expecting a game that is 300%.. yea it has its’ flaws but minecraft has the shittiest graphics, draw distance, lighting and its the highest selling game of all time..
            4. out of 100+hrs of gameplay, i honestly have NEVER felt like my experience was bad.. it WAS AMAZING for me and i cant wait to get this for the x360. Yea current gen ps4 and xbone or pc would look better but im not in this for the looks .. i want that gameplay and story. gta 5 had skyscraper pop-in after i hit it with a helicopter.. im pretty sure the fox engine will do better, plus i still loved gta 5 and played over 100hrs of that 😛

      • Shalashaska

Woah. No no no no no. Please.. i pray it doesnt :’/
plus its the fox engine desgined for ps3 and x360 isnt it ? If at all, the only differences between this and nex gen should be the draw distance and lighting, the visuals.. thats all.. dying light got cancelled because they were lazy and didnt want to put effort into old gens. That and till they give proof that there was a old gen version in making, i wont believe that squat. NOBODY CANCELS A GAME 3 MONTHS BEFORE release. When a month before that they were saying “oh its possible, we’re pushing it to the limit and we’ll make it possible, it is”. Im rooting for the old gen verson of mgs 5. I will cripple if they cancel it.. scared if they cancel it.. but im hoping and i think they wont because..after all ..the fox engine was built for he previous gen.. not the next 😛

    • Javier Sosa

The pop in in the old gen it´s very annoying, but the thing more worrying to me it´s the low fps it gets some times. I don´t know if buy a ps4 for tpp because it´s coming later to pc. If they show some old gen footage it will be great.

    • Shalashaska

dude, lets be honest, GZ is a demo. an early build not-so-cared-about demo. yea there was pop-in but i dont understand why you guys had such issues.. i never had such bad pop-in issues on x360.. i wish people stoped crying about previous gen.. i dont want it getting cancelled on previous gens :’/ Plus its the fox engine.. made for the x360 and ps3…. not for next gen. Next gen is just faster and powerful so it’ll slightly a better hand at the game but i hope they dont cancel it.. i am dieing to play this game and wont have enough money to get nex gen console for a long time so.. yea .. im rooting for them to go multi-platform..

  • MichaelPayneV

Exactly what i was afraid of, Walking Button, DAMN IT!

    • moto hellogoto

a controller will fix that problem

      • MichaelPayneV

If i liked using Controllers, Yes, but since i prefer Mouse and Keyboard, that’s a problem for me.

  • ObsessedGeorge
    • gerber

what was awesome about VR MGS1 missions, is that you get to play as Gray Fox

  • twelveshots

    His hair looks incredibly soft.

  • Ninja_Se7eN

Out of curiosity, to those who will be playing Ground Zeroes on PC will you use a gamepad or mouse and keyboard?

    • moto hellogoto

      Xbox one gamepad

    • MichaelPayneV

      Mouse and Keyboard, of course.

    • Edward Wokhands

Xbox 360 controller but if I can get the DS4 working wirelessly I’ll use that. Then again I could just use the DS3, I’ve never played a MGS game with an Xbox controller before, it seems (petty) wrong.

Using a keyboard would be the same as using a D-Pad for movement, it just wouldn’t work for a sneaking game in my opinion.

      • Ninja_Se7eN

I have to agree with that (pretty) wrong, I’m a PlayStation fan myself.

    • Javier Sosa

      xbox 360 controller

    • Big_Boss88

Xbox360, but I will try with K+M also to see how it feels.

  • So far so good, but part of me want this game to glitch just for the lulz… anyways I hope we can get actual PC footage and WE need a fix on the “phantom guards” issue when you sneak so fast that no-existen soldiers spot you because their models din’t loaded and you get an ! out of nowhere, or when some soldiers respan from thin air

    • Javier Sosa

In which console it happen to you? I suffer it in ps3.

      • I have a PS3 and playing in hard is impossible because guards pops out from nowhere for example when you’re near the prison camp there’s no one manning the tower’s ligth, then when you get closer to chico that dude just materializes behind you, even if you just clibed the ladder just to make sure that there’s nobody up there

        • Shalashaska

dude, i play on the xbox 360 which is worse for popping but it has never happened that bad.. try clearing your cahce or something to make the ps3 run faster… ive had poppin issues but its mostly for enemies/objects far away..or if im sprinting they’ll pop-in soon but NOT that late, buddy.. thats’ pretty bad.. plus if there is a enemy on the control.. poped-in or not, he will see you.. maybe its not pop-in..mayb he just comes there… becasue i finished that part on hard and there was no guy for me where youre saying.. for afar.. tag him with the binoculars..you will always see him then… ——
p.s- its a really early build.. im sure they’ll make it better for TPP, even if they dont.. please dont complain.. i dont want them cancelling this game for old gen like ps3 or xbox360.. i will die :'( helll i’ll get this game even if it has major pop-in issues..

          • the game is playable in “normal” and in hard when you try to speed run you get issues, but the game is fine most of the time, is not like we are getting Assesins Creed Unity level of glitches, and I appresiate that they release the game for older systems, but on MGS4 we never had the issue of phantom guards… now I don’t even want to think how the TPP jungle level will A: get downscaled by removing most of the follage or B:it destroys all the 1st gen PS3/X260 console’s processors by melting

          • Shalashaska

Again, buddy, Gz was a BETA, a DEMO.. they must have refined the fox engine to make it run better by now. Secondly, look at gta5, it runs doesnt it ? Not only does it run, its’ also pretty damn amazing. AND MGS 4 wasnt open world, it was linear with load times 😛 Also, doesnt matter if they downscale the jungle.. I’ll still pay 120$ if i have to, to get this game. Anyways, i doubt they will.. even if they do.. it wont spoil the fun. OH and ive speed run the hard, buddy.. i got it under 4minutes without any major pop-in issues.. it took time to do it because of the difficulty but i never had guards pop-in and see me.. i got an S rank too.. on a x360.. plus buddy, i doubt i’ll be speed running TPP, i’ll be sneaking thru the places soaking in EVERYTHING, every single inch of the screen 😀

          • Big_Boss88

I’ve played GZ a lot, but speedrunning just isn’t my thing. So I’m always enjoying sneaking a lot more and that is how I will play TPP also. It is how I have enjoyed MGS the most always. Of course I try it sometimes, but it just feels so wrong to me to play it like that :P.

Also in TPP the guards change their patrol routes, shifts and gears depending on each playthrough/mission retry if I remember that Afghanistan demo the right way (haven’t watched it for a while), so speedrunning might be harder in TPP because things don’t stay the same.

Well anyway, I’m glad I’ll get MGSV on PS4 as I haven’t experienced any of this kinda popping :). I’m sure they will make it run well on last gen consoles too. Lets just wait and see how it ends up being like shall we.

  • Solid

Now waiting for Kojima Station Dec 25th…

  • jesse white

It’s seems the ps4 version is better.

    • MichaelPayneV

It’s seems that you may be blind.

Yes after Finals i’m finally on my break(have winter classes though T__T)

Looking good! Maybe i need to replay Ground Zeroes again in preparation for Phantom Pain!
