Kojima also gave some insight in what it means to bring together all the different elements that make up a game.

“Putting together the game doesn’t include difficulty level adjustments or debugging but various elements (background, character, program, motion, cutscenes, & sound) becomes one and make the game fun, dramatic, & simple for player by actually playing.”

Putting the game together sounds difficult, but I have faith in Kojima-san to shape it into the best experience we will have. Take your time Boss, as long as we get it released in Q1-Q2 :).

    • cardboardbox engineer

oh i hope so mate, its taking too damn long,

      • im a dot

I would of payed extra just to play it back at e3

        • MichaelPayneV

You already did it in March, is code named Ground Zeroes.

    • As long as the game is finished. I don’t want the game to be rushed.

  • SpiderJerusalem

When everyone talks about the release date being to long I always remember this: What about you, Jack? What’s it going to be? Loyalty to your country,
or loyalty to me? Your country, or your old mentor? The mission, or your
beliefs? Your duty to your unit, or your personal feelings? You don’t
know the truth yet. But sooner or later you’ll have to choose.

  • Venom_Sina

For me,March is a great time to play the game.because in March,we have “Nowruz”!!!(I’m from Iran,Nowruz is the name of the Persian new year, starts in march,22)so I have 5-6 days off work(holidays!!!).so I can play the game full time.I hope they release the game in march!!!

    • im a dot

I don’t have anything off except march 24 (my birthday) but I still want it to be march

  • Golgari

The most important part about these photos is a photo of that Legendary keyboard where Kojima creates the best trailers in the industry.
He is making a new trailer and YOU, Metal Gear Fan are excited.

  • LukesAlike

    Nice, nice.

  • PrinceHeir

    Great!

  • solidsnack

when this game comes out i’m probably gonna have to keep coming back to check it’s real and in my house. also the moonlit scenes are looking beautiful!

    • Invader_skoodge

      I need scissors 61

  • MrVux007

before you get hyped…keep in mind….this is from 4chan -_-

    • Golgari

Lol man. It’s too small but I saw there Diamond Dogs logo and I’m already hyped as fuck.
Someone can just draw a shitty image in MS Paint and slap MGSV logo on it and I will be hyped through the roof when I will see that picture. LOL

I just want this game so hard. xD

      • Invader_skoodge

I made it as shitty as I can. Please Be Exite!!

        • Big_Boss88

          You’re pretty good :).

          • Solidfox

Dont get exited at all those screens are really old it’s just some idroid interface concept art. here’s with better resolution.

    • Shiragama

Hey, can you write down the link from where you got it ?

      • Smitty

Here’s a small webm of the concept video

        • Shiragama

          Thanks. That’s pretty cool.

      • MrVux007

a friend sent me the pic…he didnt post the link …. but as soon as i found out its from 4chan i lost interest in it …but i will ask for the link

        • Shiragama

Ok. But if you all write that 4chan isn’t that serious, than I can live without the source. 😀

        • glitchbomb

Chan threads disappear pretty quickly depending on which section the link is from.

    • Solidfox
  • Rikimaru

My curiosity gets the better of me on these type of threads, after that, my anxiety kicks in and I’m suddenly like: “WHEN IS THIS GAME COMING OUT?!”

PS: My bet is that its coming out on June.

  • im a dot

I wish it would snow in the phantom pain. id celebrate by giving everyone in mother base a santa hat

  • Shalashaska

Debugging? Happy to hear that its in its final stages but PLEASE JUST RELEASE IT already :'( hype kill :'(

    • MichaelPayneV

      June 8th.

      • Kol Leqejza

        • MichaelPayneV

          Heh.

      • Shalashaska

how you so sure on the exact date ? o.O
anyways, im hoping they release it sooner but the way things are, AND I HATE TO SAY THIS, I doubt this game is coming out any time soon.. its’ killing me man.. killing me :/

        • im a dot

im never giving up march… even if it passes

          • MichaelPayneV

            Heh, that’s weird.

  • Smitty

I just want a confirmation that current gen consoles will be a constant 60 fps, previous gen a constant 30, and a constant very high number on PC.

    • MichaelPayneV

GZ was 60fps on PS4 and Xbox, so is going to be the same for TPP.

I do hope that for TPP they get rid of the stupid 60fps Frame Cap, modders have unlocked it and it has no bad effect like animations desync, which means that Kojima Prod. was either pressed by time, or Console Parity strikes again, but considering how much the game looks on PC better then on PS4 i would say it was just a time issue, which also means that they have no excuse to lock TPP as well.

      • Smitty

I wouldn’t jump the gun on that call. When I watched the 60 fps videos featuring TPP gameplay on the PS4 I noticed a good lot of framedrops.

        • MichaelPayneV

          …true

  • MichaelPayneV

Do you guys think that Snake in specific circumstances, like Killing lots of people will have Phantom Pain Moments similar to Old Snake moments from MGS4 when killing A LOT?

I’m thinking of something like sudden strong pain aka a few seconds/minutes of low health along side Snake screaming of pain while holding his Prosthetic arm.

    • Mr.Pony

It is called “The Phantom Pain” and Kojima mentioned that Big Boss will suffer from some kind of trauma so why not? adding a little extra difficulty to the infiltration process, i would like that

      • MichaelPayneV

I just said “will have Phantom Pain” i know what The Phantom Pain means, is was asking if you guys think that Snake will literally have “Phantom Pain” Moments on Battlefield.

        I hope he does.

        • Mr.Pony

Not questioning if you knew or didn’t what the phantom pain was. I was saying it is called the “phantom pain” so it would make sense if there was a literal phantom pain in the game. Would be awesome to see hallucination along the game, like being in Afghanistan and suddenly the area become camp omega

          • MichaelPayneV

You mean like The Evil Within?

          • Mr.Pony

Not exactly, more like parts of the area becoming camp omega, like you are playing during the day and suddenly it shifts to night and its raining and the guards are the ones in GZ but they still speak russian, the houses are still the same made of clay (or whatever they are made of) and part of the floor becomes the helipad for like a minute or two and you see the searchlights on it but there are none to be found in the area, plus adding some GZ sounds like the door to the admin building opening. It more like an incomplete hallucination where he would mix the GZ environment with the one he is in.

          • MichaelPayneV

Ohhh, so you mean like in “Spec Ops: The Line”, right?

PS: Wouldn’t it be better in the Phantom pain moments to have your current location shift in to an Actual Hell, with Demons and Stuff, moments with Stealth Off, and have specific MGS3 Cobra Members appear, you know, Dynamic Boss fights.

          • Mr.Pony

I wouldn’t really like to see dramatic changes in scenery for the boss batles i like it kept in a subtle way, make use maybe of the weather and sound effects and not so much other visual aids. I always liked how Kojima masks the supernatural vein with science or an incredible background story (Beauty and the Best, Psycho Mantis, Vamp etc) so I’m looking not so much to see daemons spawning from the ground but interesting bosses and mysterious scenery (Fighting in the middle of a sandstorm or in the middle of a mist)
One thing that would be nice would be like “The Sorrow” moments but with The Boss, or receiving calls from her and in the end of the call Kaz or anyone else would go “Are you alright? Who are you talking to?”

          • MichaelPayneV

What i’m trying to say is that during “The Phantom Pain” Moments the Tone of the Game to be like Silent Hill, to be like in the Hospital Scene when the Flaming Volgin was approaching Snake and wasn’t able to get up, to move.

          • Mr.Pony

Not sure if I get your whole idea but for what we can see in the trailers Big Boss fights that Fire Volgin/ Fire Unicorn Rider/ Giant Flaming Whale while riding with Ocelot through a fiery forest, if that’s the kind of dynamic battle you are referring with no stealth, that is so far what I’m expecting along with maybe some cut scenes previous to the battle to accumulate tension, something like when that Fire Volgin appears in the hospital you would have to move way from him, an interactive cut scene in a sense. All of them being part of the hallucination due to the Phantom Pain (otherwise I’m not seeing how Kojima is going to justify the Redhead Psycho Mantis going through walls xD )

          • MichaelPayneV

No, i meant that during a Phantom Pain Moment to have Demons know your point on Map, and you having to kill fight them until the pain is gone, and ending killing 1 soldier when killing the last Demon.

          • Mr.Pony

Then those moments would have be in lower populated area, or it would screw up infiltrations, especially if you were aiming for the S rank. What about something like having those daemons (they being characters of past games,Big Boss fighting the inner daemons) walk around areas as if they were soldiers and if you kill them or interrogate them they would give good intel, like diamond locations or some easter eggs.

          • MichaelPayneV

            I’m talking between missions.

          • Mini gear

            That’d be fun

  • MichaelPayneV

Remember how Paz was talking about the MSF Soldiers loving to play Football (Soccer for Slow USA’s…i’m just fukking with you) at the Mother Base, the of Shore Plant, also remember that Konami has a Football Game running on Fox Engine?

Do you think at what i’m thinking?

    • Kol Leqejza

      they did a porngame, too… oi, are u thinking what i’m thinkin’…?!?!?!?!?!

      • MichaelPayneV

        No, but i get it!

  • MichaelPayneV

Just realized something, had a Revelation that confirms The Medic Connection with John aka Big Boss

In Ground Zeroes Kiefer is mentioned in both the presentation and the Official Cast as “Snake” and not Big Boss, and even tough he Voiced the Medic Kiefer is not part of the “Extra” Cast, as James Horan is, so why is he not part of the Extra?

Is because The Medic is not an Extra, he is sharing the same casting name with Big Boss, “Snake” they are 2 characters sharing 1 Paycheck give to the same Actor, Kiefer was paid to play Snake, and by inclusion Big Boss.

Does any of you need more proof that “The Medic” is a “Snake”, seriously, he is not part of the “Extra”, so he can only be “Snake”

    • Mr.Pony

The guy lying next to Big Boss in the hospital is also voiced by Kiefer, although that one i believe to be a hallucination because of the incident in GZ. A theory could be that when we play GZ, Big Boss is already in a coma and we are reliving it in his dreams.

      • MichaelPayneV

Exactly, if he is a Hallucination, if he is in Snake mind, he is also Snake, there would be no need to have him in Cast as a Separate Character.

    • Shalashaska

My bet is on the fact that Big boss is big boss.. you play as big boss and that’s what matters. Ishmael is a figment of B. Boss’s imagination or Mantis’s doing.. considering that the mantis was still young and learning his powers, it would be understandable if mantis cant create a face for Big boss’s mind. but can create a voice and body same to that of Big boss. (ishmael has no face).

As for the medic, I think he could be playing a role on mother base but i doubt he is another snake. Or maybe he doesnt survive the crash at all.. but if all the pictures and everything are true then my guess is that the events of ground zeroes dont take place on the time and date given.. instead its a memory or hallucination B boss goes thru during his coma. This would explain medic having an identical face/hidden face.

Skull face, to me could COULD be Ocelot because there are just too many similarities, he even gives the “youre good” hand sign in one of the trailers. and PLUS, he is the only guy who has worked with BOTH B.boss and Cipher before Ground zeroes. It could be argued that ocelot loves big boss. MY couter to that would be that ocelot during the BEGINNING of TPP, has NO reason to like B. boss, right ? But we know he loves him later on.. perhaps something happens during the events of TPP that make ocelot love Bboss.. so i wouldnt be surprised if skullface turns out to be ocelot but wouldnt really be surprised if he is a entirely new caracter.

      • MichaelPayneV

He is a Snake, he is voiced by Kiefer, and the only Name Kiefer is Atached to the Cast is Snake, so The Medic can only be Snake, along side Big Boss.

Kiefer is said to voice Snake, not specifically Big Boss, so the Snake name stands for 2 Characters sharing the same Code Name, Snake!

        • Raymondius

Man, please, I think everyone in the Internet already knows that you do actually believe that the Medic is Snake, or a Snake or something like that. Now “shut up in there, willya?”.

          • MichaelPayneV

            Ahhh…No, this is the Internet.

What is the Internet for? For Porn, talking sh*t to other, and speculate.

PS: At least my Speculations have some circumstantial proof to back up my theories, even a little, compared to PythonSnake who can’t stop saying that Venom Snake is Gray Octopus, and has nothing to back up his Theories, so please, appreciate that, that i don’t say things without coming with something to back up my theory.

          • Kol Leqejza

            totally agree!

        • Shalashaska

if all that is true.. i cant even guess what mind boggling story line Kojima is written for this game.. dayum.

          • MichaelPayneV

What i’m saying now is nothing Mind Blowing, is juts Pure Logic.

If Kiefer/Akio have only 1 entry in GZ Cast named “Snake” and they voice 2 characters, that only means that The Medic is also a Snake, like Big Boss, and for Spoiler Reason they named Big Boss “Snake” to be able to hide The Medic entry.

  • XIFF-5

    MEDIC FACE MODEL.

SNAKE CLONE HUH…? LOL , Stop wasting your time speculating.

    • MichaelPayneV

Then looks like the “Snake” Casting entry from Ground Zeroes is for 2 Snakes, 1 being Big Boss and the other Snake being Yhe Medic, now the question is which Snake is The Medic, is he Solidus, or maye another New Snake, mabe yhe Snake that died at the end of MGS4, who knows!

    • ObsessedGeorge

Seriously, no offence to anyone sniffing their noses in the PC data files, but, i’m really tired of seeing stuff like this. Why bother playing TPP when you have seen or learned about all the surprises through some files. Since GZ released on PC l’ve seen stuff that I wish l hadn’t seen, like Skull Face’s uh…face. I know what every one’s reply will be but, that’s just my opinion.

      • Invader_skoodge

But you see, If we didn’t snoop around the data files, we would have never found out how Kojima was originally going announce he hired Keifer and left David Hayter out of MGSV

        http://puu.sh/dYDCX/9646495af3.gif

        • MichaelPayneV

Actually it should be Hideo Erasing Hayter, and Snake giving Hideo the tool.

      • XIFF-5

I know, thats not me I just shared the photo with you guys , otherwise I am with you against digging into PC files. Knew all this gonna happen when they announced the PC version smh…
however, I heard that kojima will LOCK data files for MGS TPP PC version after he saw what happened. Let us hope he will do something about it…

        • MichaelPayneV

I hope they won’t lock it, is TPP will still be able to mod it will bring Kojima tons of money every year, even 8 years from now.

GTA San Andreas, IV and Skyrim still sell on Steam, they still bring Rockstar and Bethesda Money, so why would Kojima miss the opportunity to have something to bring them money every year just because of the mods?

          • Big_Boss88

Amazing games don’t necessarily need mods imo and can still give lot of money + have long replayability :). Certain games just benefit from them more, because they kinda suck without. Like Skyrim.

          • MichaelPayneV

That’s what i said, it doesn’t need mods, but now that GZ is already a hell of a Modding tool, why would Konami pass the opportunity to have their own Skyrim that will bring them money every year just by being on Steam?

          • Big_Boss88

I’m not saying they should, I do usually welcome mods 🙂 even with MGS yes. As long as people don’t start sniffing around the files too much and find out/post some details I don’t want to know. I’ve waited 2 years for TPP and I can wait a little longer to see all the goodies ^^.

          • MichaelPayneV

Is simple, don’t go on modding Forums until you finish your first Playtrought of Phantom Pain.

Plus, the informations we got was most likely put there by Hideo himself, because usually Codes like this are not made out of words for Spoiler Reasons, yet Hide put them in words, how is this not something intentional?

PS: You know what would be Awesome, if during the Next Kojima Station, Kojima to showcase some of the Mods done by the Community, that would be Amazing and would earn PC Community’s full Respect, and make everyone forget about initial 40$ Ground Zeroes.

          • Big_Boss88

Yeah that would be quite amazing to see in Kojima Station :D.

        • Solidfox

Lock data files? i don’t think so.

          • MichaelPayneV

See, and people were saying that Konami will lock TPP to be Impossible to mod.

I told you guys, if something Konami and Kojima loves the Mods, and if they love the mods they will also make sure the PC Version of TPP will have all the features from the PS4 version.

      • Big_Boss88

I agree, I don’t bother searching the files because there might be some spoilers. And I don’t appreciate some people posting stuff from there in here, because maybe I don’t want to read or see all of them. Even accidentally.

We’ve got already what, 5 trailers of MGSV and few gameplay demos. It’s enough material of the game before playing it. The rest I rather see and find out when playing :).

Just my thoughts, but I can’t stop people doing what they do.

  • im a dot

I hope the phantom pain has a ton of weapons like peace walker
