Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to appear at Taipei Game Show 2015
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be present at the Taipei Game Show later this month. The event will take place at the Taipei World Trade Center in Taiwan. According to the schedule, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be presented at January 31st, 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM (Taiwan time).
It’s not quite clear yet what the show will entail, but apparently Hideo Kojima himself will be present. It will most likely be another gameplay demonstration. In any case, to avoid disappointment you probably shouldn’t expect any major announcements at the event.
Update: According to the official MGS Facebook for Asia there will be new information:
“HIDEO KOJIMA will attend Taipei Game Show this year! Will have a stage event at SCE booth starting from 1pm on Jan 31st.It’s been 4 years since his last visit, but he’s back to announce new information for the upcoming highly demanded title MGSV:TPP! Don’t miss it!”

Yeah true. I mean i was really expecting to see a release date, like many others at VGA in Vegas, because even Kiefer Sutherland was there. But no we didn’t hear anything about that, so it seems never know what comes in game event. We might see some good info in Taipei, who knows :).

This totally looked like Peace Walker’s Paradise trailer lol. I almost anticipated hearing Richard Doyle talk in the beginning about Nuclear deterrence.
Man, I want Doyle as BB again, he was amazing in MGS4 and that PW trailer.

You know, maybe you’re right. If we get the release date the hype will emerge again. But if we really have to wait that long, I think I would prefer to wait for the release date a bit more.

I definitely think a trailer is imminent. Whether it’s gameplay or cutscene is to be determined. All of his recent updates with new TPP photos and his “keyboard editing” photo on Twitter suggests this. It’s got that E3 preparation stank all over it.

I don’t think they announce the release date.It’s not a major game event and the presentation of MGSV is only 1 hour!!!So probably we’ll see a gameplay demo from Gamescom’14 or TGS’14(which we already saw),but this time it’s localized for native people.Then Probably Kojima-san jumps out and say:”Hey!!!We localized the game to Traditional Chinese for you!!!DID YOU RIKE IT?”and the show will be over!!!

bet they announce a new korean-themed K-POP hat or something, maybe an alternate african mission taking a different route mostly in the night, but not expect anything else, like those people who actually watched the kojima station thing instead to been with their families in Christmas… they deserved their chicken hat announcements after kojima gave freebies to his staff for 3 hours…
the question is what they gonna show we already have a lot INFO about TPP !! MORE INFO IS JUST SPOILER FOR US.

Trust me. Skyrim is easily 15-25 times the size of ground zeroes.
Tons of gameplay and tons of quests.locations/npcs etc.. ALOT. If it can make Skyrim look like a kid.. I can Finally understand the ACTUAL Scope of the game. COLOSSAL would be an appropriate word.

I don’t really expect a release date anymore, when it comes out it comes out. But I have to admit that I don’t really want anymore trailers and gameplay presentations. It is already more than enough! Leave something for us to discover on our own while playing through the game Kojima

No, i don’t think so, but what i will never forgive Hayter for if he isn’t in MGSV is that he suddenly decided to announce his absence on April 1st, what the hell was in his head, couldn’t he have waited at least 1 day?

A year ago kojima told they would have supported mgs in 10 gaming event before the release of TPP: E3, gamescom, Tgs, igromir, vga, tapei game show. Six events up to now. If what they do what they said, we have to wait september to finally play the game! I just hope the game releases before e3 2015..
