Snake can take a shower to wash away the blood?
Kojima has been posting pictures of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain again. Yes, more helicopter pictures, but this time it seems they are accompanied with a little more concrete information. We can see Snake inside the chopper, and going by Kojima’s caption, it may be possible to take a shower (at Mother Base most likely) to get rid of the blood (on yesterday’s images Snake was covered in blood).
“Got shower to take the blood off!”
Kojima’s original explanation is in Japanese, but JunkerHQ on Twitter stated: “From what Kojima said today, you can take a shower in MGSV to wash blood off of you.”
On another picture we can see Snake in front of his helicopter at Mother Base, ready to take off. So hey, at least it’s a picture from outside the chopper this time, even if it’s only one.

If there is an ability system I’d prefer to learn new moves at a gym. I can NOT STAND this stupid shoe horned XP/Upgrade crap we’re seeing in every single game. They all feel the same as each other. Ground Zeroes feels really unique, I’m so excited for TPP.

But Kojima himself said ‘shower’, not ‘rain’. He could be talking as a figure of speech, but we don’t know. And Junker probably got his information directly from Kojima’s Japanese tweets.
I understand what he said, I’m not saying its only by rain I only stating that what JunkerHQ is saying, I’m sure there is some sort of showering system in it, no one really knows what is in MB and what we will be able to do there other then the staff and team, I’m just saying that just ’cause JunkerHQ says no doesn’t mean it’s fact. Yeah, but most of the things he says on Twitter is just information directly from Kojima’s Twitter. There is probably some more nuance in Kojima’s Japanese tweets that you can only get if you speak Japanese. So if he states Kojima is not talking about rain with such certainty, that’s probably because he got that info from Kojima’s tweets.
But yeah, in the end we can’t be sure yet, which should also be reflected in the way the post is written (it’s why the title is presented as a question rather than a fact, and it is also mentioned in the post that the information comes from Kojima via Junker, so everyone can decide for himself how he wants to interpret it).
I’m still having doubts about showers at Mother Base and the fact that Big Boss would shower with his clothes on. ^^
Maybe Kojima was referring to those water tanks on top of porta-potties? Something like that.

I might be digging at nothing but, does anyone think the ‘Pictures’ on the wall next to Snake have any importance? All prior images of Kojimas’ pics of ‘Snakes on a Helicopter’ leave me begging to think he’s leaving a clue that’s just flying over peoples’ head because it’s either too subtle or something else.
Theres’ pictures of people and faces pinned to the wall and I wanted to know if anyone knew if it was maybe important in any way. Prior screenshots from Kojima had always blocked visual from them because his synthetic arm prop was in the way until recent.
1st Image – the pictures aren’t there.
2nd image – blocked completely
3rd image – blocked mildly, pointing to? (More than simply a Peace sign)
4th image – Too dark to see properly
5th image – Closest yet
I may just be looking at nothing important and I may just be wearing a tinfoil hat but I’m wondering if it’s a VIP list of who he wants to kill but I find it strange at that, there’d be faces of people in a Helicopter on the wall when you think about purpose and for Snake, I don’t think you select missions via that wall and it wasn’t there in December, so – why is it there and was he deliberately blocking it and is any person in the photo legible and important or inconsequential? :l

I think they might be his mission targets or bosses to kill. I find it sort of strange to put Chopper full of comrades he lost so imo they are targets.
But the thing that make me wonder is he would probably have target intel on his iDroid, so why put them on the wall hmm.
Exactly why I feel it’s a bit odd. In the mind of Snake, what would photographs prove when it’s also a liability to intel/spies? Everything if handled digitally by him at least would be kept personal in contrast. For it to be there is for a specific reason, makes no sense otherwise :/ Idunno.
My guess? They’re the guys whose ashes he rubs on his face. He got pretty upset at the end of Ground Zeroes, it only makes sense that he’d like to remember everyone he worked with.
Kojima might be hiding something or he might just be getting us to think he’s hiding something, basically playing a big game of misdirection with us. Or he doesn’t want us to see Chico and Paz on the wall?
There’s especially a picture with two posing with eachother. So Idunno. Midirection/big game is all likely knowing Kojima. Especially, is it bad compression that there’s infact BIG BIG Pixelated squares checkboarding the image?
Is this compression causing it or a very subtle patchwork of censorship blurring? Or just what happens when you take a picture with a camera of a game on a monitor instead of it being a direct image? lol
Upon looking at the ‘Couples picture’ some more, I’ll have to agree that I think that’s a Wall of memories for Snake, rather, he keeps the pictures there to remind of him likely of those who’ve died, those likely he feels he let down and died because of him or so on. A ‘Couples picture’ of two guys, the highest probability would be if they were two soldiers that were friends or brothers that took it on Motherbase or something.
Yeah, that’d be cool. He might add to it as he goes. If DD dies or Quiet dies he might add a picture of them there. What was that bosses name? I’ve completely forgotten it, the ghost from MGS3? Maybe it will kind of function like that? A list of people who are dead and BeeBee blames himself.

The easiest explanation really still could be that he’s trying to give us screenshots to buy him some time, to tease players and keep the game ‘relevant’ as if he has to give images to do that’. Though, I don’t ever recall him doing this ever before on any other MGS launch – although my memory is pretty bad when it comes to precise things like this of so long ago. He released plenty of trailers of MGS3 and all that, but nothing like repeated non-spoiler areas.
He said on Twitter I came back from the gym. Is there really a Gym? hmmm I’m thinking… do we start with skinny Snake and you have to build him up to regain his strength??

Maybe there is ;D. Or then Kojima just thought of writing something for the image. OR then Kojima himself went to gym lol :). Snake is really skinny when waking from coma so I think we either build it up ourselves, or he automatically change as story progress.
I guess Kojima went to the gym himself and there was like a glitch or something they could not fix and at the gym he got an idea of how to fix it.

Well i think he’s creating something really huge.But people are tired waiting.İ dont care if it relases n 2016 but i need to know WHEN!!!This is what everybody compains just give us the damn date.
The fact that they haven’t given a date yet indicates the game isn’t coming out in the near future. It probably won’t come out before June anyway, perhaps later if they hold off giving a release date but since they haven’t even given a window yet it’s probably best to expect having to wait a little longer.
It maybe come in November like MGS3 (god I hope not lol), but I need to get my mind off counting these days and months that might be left! It only makes the waiting worse O_O…
Also those who are waiting for FFXV got it maybe worse, they announced it is only about 60% done after so many years in development. We don’t have much longer for TPP which is great :)!

At this point, even the helicopter from the outside is amazing news and renovation to hype. The weather effects looks beyond awesome tho.

I’d be happier if the game only came to PS4. Don’t get me wrong, is just that making games for both generations make the producers do less things. And the worst part is that usually the ps3 version comes rrally shitty. Take Advanced Warfare for example. Ps4: awesome graphics. Ps3: Ghost was better. What the actual fork?

Actually I dont think so.. what if it doesnt .. wasnt the fox engine made for it ? Its the fox engine that basically does all the work and i think if the fox engine can handle it ..they dont need to “downgrade itt”.. yea there’ll be a little pop-in on last gen but i think thats about it .. remember .. youre getting this in 2015.. the game’s being made for the past 3-4 years.. hell GTA V had SO MUCH pop in that i used to crash into things i didnt Know were there and THAT got 10/10.. not once did i ever lose the fun of it because of the last gen hardware..
Graphically .. if they didnt make it for last gen.. EITHER way, you’d get the same graphics you get now because of the fox engine.. if they wanted to increase the graphics, they’d have to scrap their already done work to enhance the textures in the WHOLE game.. which honestly i dont think its possible to do when youre game is already done so much..
Either way, all im saying is that graphically YES.. MAYBE (If they wanted to make it better, they’d have to enhance fox engine)
BUT in the SCOPE of the game and GAMEPLAY.. I do not think think it’ll downgrade a bit becasue of the Fox engine .. Not everyone is ubi..cough..watch..cough..dogs. but hey thats my thought about it and im not Game Dev..

Honestly, in that case.. isnt PC the only port that it should come too.. unfortunately a PC still wipes any console to dust .. dont get me wrong.. i WOULD LOVE TO play this game on any nex gen console/PC but i cant because i dont have the money to buy it so.. yea.. gotta lay on xbox 360. After a few years when it’s price drops and i HOPEFULLY have money, i’ll make or buy a customizable gaming pc and then.. let the times stop because i’ll be there forever.

Kojima said himself that adding any form of DLC to GZ would further take development away from TPP and that he nor his team will do any such thing, also to note this “DLC” was only adding the system exclusive missions to all systems, its not any thing special.
This will be an open world game yet the attention to detail is remarkable.

Believe it or not 10 years doesn’t age you that much unless you’re look at like 18-28.
There are forehead wrinkles signifying old age.. that all i can point out but i think they sorta changed his face/impressions to make him look older.. not everything’s has gotta be black or white.. sometimes all the need to do is give the illusion of something and it works 🙂

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! That’s upsetting. Someone broke into my old place and actually took my PS2, Xbox and GC. They took my copy of MGS2. 🙁 Luckily I found a really cheap copy of the PS2 and the Xbox versions locally before games because a ridiculous trend and the prices went up. Check ebay, for the Xbox and PS2 version, sometimes they’re cheap.

I’m gonna make an educated guess and say Kojima wasn’t talking about taking an “actual shower” at MB. I think he was talking about the rainy dynamic weather washing the blood off his attire. My reasoning is also accompanied by the second picture. It’s raining outside when he’s standing in front of the chopper, as depicted with the rain drops scattered on the camera screen. Taking a shower while still having your clothes on also seems silly too. So, yeah. Most likely he was saying that in a figurative way.

I like the pic with BB and the chopper. It looks like he is in the middle of an animation. I’m hoping to see the old unused early Ground Zeroes animation which Snake covers his face because of the strong winds caused by the helicopter. I was a bit dissapointed that they took it out in the final version of GZ. I appreciate these little details that devs take the time to put, like Uncharted where Drake does the same when near a fire, or by touching the wall when too close. (Something that ICO did millions of years ago)
