Trophies and achievements for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain detailed

The trophies and achievements for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain have been detailed. Website XboxAchievements has the full list available, but be warned, some may be considered spoilers (mission names and such).

Looks like the game will have 42 achievements total (plus a platinum trophy for the PlayStation versions, most likely), of which 14 are secret. If you want to see the secret achievements as well, follow this link.

  • Diego Guedes

    No spoilers for me there

    • Raven_Sorrow

The secret ones are spoilers though… See at your on risk.

      • Diego Guedes

You think so? Not for me. I read it again now just to be sure and still think there’s no big deal here. I mean, the only thing that can hint at something is the name of the missions, but even so… It’s hard to deduce something with it.
I mean, I’ve been following news and all, so that’s maybe it. Everything there is either old or predictable info.

  • Raven_Sorrow

Sorry but I can’t stress this enough:
    FIRST LINK: fine πŸ™‚

    SECOND LINK: SPOILERS!!

    That is all, ty πŸ™‚

    • Gatsu

Your courage of reading them is admirable. This sacrifice will be remembered, brother :).

      • Raven_Sorrow

Sure, courage.. not weakness no.. courage *in fetal position in corner XD

    • Tong Ninja

      Thanks! πŸ™‚

  • Gatsu

NOOOOOO I will stay away from these …I must…not…see!

    • Raymondius

You know, I think as long as we only read MGI and maybe Kojima’s twitter, we can rest easy. These achievements don’t spoil a single thing (maybe the name of some missions, ok) and I find myself even disapointed because of the lack of “easter eggs achievements” (like in MGS3 HD). I really hope those are top secret and have not been detailed for spoiler reasons.

    • No Place For Hayter

Yeah don’t read them. That being said there wasn’t any real spoilers in any of the trophies, it does have a few ones but those are already assumed and shown to be a part of the game so, not really spoilers. Looking at the list makes the game seem slim like it has little to nothing to it, lol.

Of course it would be impossible for me not to read the complete list πŸ™‚

    • Le Guy who drowned quiet

You did read them so why so much excited?

      • Gatsu

Not all of them and haven’t read the secret trophies :D.

    • MrVux007

that reminds me …just made this one for IGN comment section πŸ˜€

      • Le Guy who drowned quiet

How come no one upvoted this

        • MrVux007

          someone did now ^^

      • Gatsu

        Haha nice XD

      • John

        us memesters, right guize?

    • Fox

Must stay away from these articles! I already left twitter a few days ago, the only source for news (no spoilers) will be MGI!

  • Batzi

Any indication on how many total missions there are?

    • Ryan Locke

It doesn’t indicate how many total missions, since I’m sure you don’t get an achievement for every single mission.

      • Batzi

But there could be something like “Complete all 150 missions”.

        • MichaelPayneV

The achievement is called “Accomplished” and is described as “Complete all missions” nothing more, nothing less!

    • Tong Ninja

      OVER 9000!!!!! πŸ˜€

Jokes! I don’t really know XD

    • Hey batzi, its drawing guts πŸ™‚ the wait is almost over!!1

  • Franky

shout out to everyone Who gonna platinum the game.

  • Ryan Locke

I didn’t really see any spoilers. I mean mission names didn’t make all that much sense to me, but i don’t particularly pay attention to those. I was mostly looking for silly achievements, but I didn’t find any. πŸ™ I was hoping to see “have a supply drop drop on someones head” or something like that. They seem pretty expected and normal to me.

    • Tong Ninja

Yeah same, I wanted the trophy where you get the chicken cap and the egg shell cap. XD

  • mcbennet

So is anyone bummed that there seems to be only 4 buddies?

    • MichaelPayneV

No, not all, as they have been hand crafted by Hideo himself!

    • kuaikukia

it seems so. But I don’t mind at all. I prefer fewer buddy with good AI rather than lots of buddy with bad AI

      • mcbennet

Yeah but I was really hoping to be able to bring Gray Fox and Eva into the field at some point..

    • HeadelfBernard

Yeah. I’m really hoping you can make all the boss characters on your side like portable ops.

      • mcbennet

Yeah I was hoping for the same..the level of replay would be tremendous

    • Adamska

I want to use Ocelot as buddy so hard.

      • MichaelPayneV

Well, he isn’t even translating for you, so no way Ocelot will go on field with Big Boss!

      • mcbennet

        Wasn’t there rumors of DLC?

    • Maurycy Zarzycki

Wasn’t it confirmed during E3 that there will be more support buddies? I vaguely recall the narrator mentioning it in the YT video but maybe I don’t remember it well enough.

      • MichaelPayneV

Well, D Walker wasn’t confirmed at that time, so it was mostly about him as “More”

      • mcbennet

I sure hope so. I just figured it might be limited to 4 after viewing the trophy list. I definitely read a rumor about Ocelot DLC being tacked on at a later date but I guess we’ll see.

    • decoyF0XX

I doubt there will be only four, is it confirmed?

      • mcbennet

It hasn’t been confirmed, I was just going by what I saw in the trophy list. Some buddy trophies might be hidden, along with some story-sensitive mission trophies.

  • MichaelPayneV

So, to my fellow PC guys wanting a physical PC Version at launch (just like i) i asked Konami Europe on both Twitter and Via Email, waiting for a response, so wish me luck!

  • Adamska

I didn’t see the secrets, but except for rank S in all missions, The Phantom Pain will be a pretty platinable game.

    • MichaelPayneV

Not if it has over 150 story missions!

    • Tong Ninja

The secret trophies are usually Story Based Trophies. πŸ™‚

      • Adamska

Yeah, I will see after finish the game oce.

  • Tong Ninja

I didn’t see the secret trophies, but who here is going to Platinum this game?? πŸ˜€

    I sure am. πŸ™‚

    • Jeff O’Connor

I’ve actually still not taken a shine to the whole trophies/achievements system, even all these years after their original introduction. I prefer to play to the point of feeling happy and satisfied, and that differs based on what I’m playing. I rarely if ever glance at the trophies I’ve earned, but I’ve kept their notifications enabled simply because the little chime sound amuses me. Also, because MGS HD Collection had such amazing names for its trophies. πŸ˜›

That written, a game like MGSV is going to have me playing for a long time, so I’m sure I’ll wind up with at least 60% or so of the trophies.

      • Tong Ninja

Well actually what I do is on my first time playthrough, I play freely, without worrying about trophies as well. Just enjoy the story and gameplay :D. If I do get a trophy, then cool!

Then on my second or third playthrough, is when I start to collect ALL trophies I haven’t got and get that Platinum! πŸ˜€

        • Jeff O’Connor (aka Jeff Zero!)

Sounds like a plan! I’m glad trophies exist because for many gamers it offers extra incentive to keep at it and neat little checkmarks for accomplishing various things in what they play. Personally though I’ve always preferred the style of in-game rewards for the things I do, like how in Final Fantasy VII (for a completely different type of example) you get a gold chocobo a couple of hard-to-accomplish ways, or (for a more on-point example) how Kojima has often given us tangible rewards for reaching certain ranks in the MGS series. I wish more developers had stuff like that! But I guess ultimately trophies are like another system on top of that, which is cool.

        • This is what I’m going to do too. no point in stressing over trophies first playthrough.

          • Tong Ninja

Yeah, just enjoy the overall story. πŸ™‚
Then go OCD afterwards and collect trophies! XD

      • Solid Snakes Revenge

The cool thing about trophies is that you can challenge yourself in ways you probably woulda never thought of by trying to get all the trophies. Adds replay value in my opinion. Like the other dude I do the same thing 1st playthru is all fun after that Im goin for trophies.

      • decoyF0XX

Like “Snake Beater”, that was a good one haha

      • Cobra Commander

I’m pretty much the same way.
I just play the games for enjoyment, and feel no need to unlock all trophies/achievements.
That is unless doing so unlocks something cool gameplay/cutscene wise.
I imagine ever since trophies and achievements were conceived, its been hell on gamer’s who have OCD. LOL!

        • WhatTheJuicay

I hope in the next generation of gaming that trophies are all hidden and there is no such thing as 100% completion. Anyone here remember the MGO trophies you get as you play? That’s how I like it. Milestone achievements for playing naturally. I’m sure I’m a minority here but that style of trophies is acceptable to even the OCD type gamers such as myself.

      • glitchbomb

It’s not much more than a way to get more out of your game.

    • Chem

i’m going for the plat, i have the platinum of all the MG game and this is not going to be the exception

      • Tong Ninja

XD Getting the Platinum trophy for Metal Gear Solid 2 was insane. Took so many playthroughs to get it …. haha

        • Chem

yes it was insane indeed! the VR missions of Snake Mgs1 were incredible difficult, i thing is one of the hardest platinums that i have achieved.

    • Gatsu

I will do my best, I mean…I will get all :D! I’ve never been the kind of player who really wants to get platinums, but with TPP I will and with other MGS games maybe later too. Some games always have MP trophies, which kinda make it hard too.

    • Daburcor

Personally, I only ever platinum games if the challenges interest me. Usually, they don’t. xD

  • Jeff O’Connor

The thing that makes conversations on the concept of spoilers so difficult is that many of us have different interpretations of what constitutes a “spoiler.” I read the full list several days ago myself (it was posted on GAF; sorry I didn’t give y’all a tip on that!) and aside from maaaybe one or two things, I wouldn’t say there are any spoilers in there whatsoever. But to some, gameplay-related trophies are spoilers in and of themselves. And to some others, mission names are spoilers regardless of how little they reveal. You’ll find both of those things in here, of course. πŸ™‚

  • Tong Ninja

Is this the full trophy list? Or are they going to add extra trophies in future before release?

    • Jeff O’Connor

Historically, I’ve never heard of that occurring with a game whose list is leaked ahead of time. But mind you, I only play games from a few developers, so I could be wrong. It certainly never seems to happen with BioWare, Square Enix, or Naughty Dog titles, though, at least.

  • Π‘ΠΎΠ»ΡŒΡˆΠ°Ρ Π‘ΠΎΠ±Π°Π°Ρ‡Π°

10 key story missions is a cockblock for me.

    • MichaelPayneV

Huh? Could you please be more clear?

  • MichaelPayneV

Machinima’s E3 Award for TPP, and i’m not joking: “Yup, it’s a Game” award!
    This was great!
    https://youtu.be/gCZ1vsxBiMg?t=2m9s

    • Gatsu

      That’s cool :)!

    • glitchbomb

Haha.I saw that “yup its a game” on the wall of achievements in some of the pictures of the TPP area of e3. Didn’t know what it was until they uploaded this video.

  • Rikimaru

*Reads the achievments, goes into a coma*

    *Wakes up in Cyprus*

    I’ll find you Nyx..

    • Gatsu

Woah easy there brother, not Nyx… noooo

      • Rikimaru

        Liberation is at hand!

        *Walks away*

  • J_muse72

Bring it!! I am an avid trophie collector so BRING IT!!! I have been waiting to know all of the trophies and now I do!(Not the secret trophies I refuse to spoil any more!) I will play the game to my liking first and if there are different endings, I will try to get the darkest one I can. Then after that I will replay the game and platinum ASAP!

  • Gatsu

To keep the 80’s alive ;D…

I’d love to hear this in TPP, got that sweet 80’s tune :). If some don’t know it’s about the bomber that dropped the
first nuke in the history used in an act of War. As we can get the option to acquire a nuke
ourselves in TPP, just makes me wonder what we can possible do with it or if it effect the story somehow.

    • stocchinet .

Oh god this is a must!

      • Gatsu

Yes =), but whatever songs Kojima and his buddies have chosen are definitely excellent <3.

Youngsters get to listen some real music when they play TPP.

        • stocchinet .

Kids these days don’t know the magic of synthpop πŸ˜‰

        • No Place For Hayter

I don’t think anybody has an open mind to good music anymore, lol, they have assumptions and biased opinions which in-force or make up any opinion they need to keep that bias going. Me though, as long as the music i good I don’t care what the genre is or when it was made, lol.

    • Ol’ Jack Burton

Decent list of songs we’ve got confirmed so far.

      Hall & Oates – Maneater

      • Raymondius

It’ll be weird if Bowie’s 1984 isn’t in the final game. Hell, all that album could be in.

I think Rebel Yell was pretty much confirmed, btw. I read it in a preview, don’t remember which one though…

        • Ol’ Jack Burton

Yeah, not too surprising. I was thinking either Rebel Yell or White Wedding would make it in, considering they seem to be going for hits more than anything (I’m still a little surprised that Only Time Will Tell got in over Heat of the Moment, really).

If Big Boss gets referred to as “Halloween Jack” at any stage, I think I’ll die.

          • Raymondius

Woah, that would be seriously amazing. xD

      • MichaelPayneV

I don’t think “Nuclear” will be in The Game, i think it was just for the Trailer.

Also Nuclear for me is actually the least favorite MGSV Trailer, my Favorite still thinking between GDC 2013 and this year’s E3 Trailer.

I mean Nuclear was just too sad for me, as if Hideo was really sad when he made it, and now that he i free from Konami, in the New Trailer he made the “Revenge” tone much better then he did it in the E3 2013 Trailer, is like this fallout made Hideo reach his full potential, he is Angry as Venom Snake from inside, so i think he secretly wants Revenge on Konami!

        • No Place For Hayter

As amazing as the other trailers are (this years E3 being the biggest as far as showing and talking about the games themes) the GDC 2013 one is still my favorite (though that is tied to the amazing yet obvious reveal of the phantom pain being MGSV) like seriously nothing beats that instrumental middle portion where to shows the hospital portions, even though we all know TPP was MGS it was still mind blowing πŸ™‚

          • MichaelPayneV

Exactly, is also the one that has a perfect balance of Drama, Mind Fukk and Humor, especially the song, it gives that sarcastic vibe of “Everything is awesome, we are all gonna DIE, but everything is awesome, la la la la laaaaaa” that Dark Humor, at the same time making feel relieved!

          • Gatsu

I’ve thought GDC was best before Elegia trailer debut, but they’re all really fantastic … so hard to pick. I don’t know how Kojima does it, to make all of them SO good :).
I agree with the middle part, it perfectly fits with the bizarre hospital sequence.
Also I love the scene where they crash, so much stuff floating in air, glass, pills, papers and that soldier etc. Look so beautifully done :).

I love Elegia trailer when it fits all together well :D, the amazing song, epic voice acting and confusion. It shows Big Boss’ change to demon and got the impression from it, that we Big Boss being in f*cked up situations many times in TPP. That hallway, super-powered Skulls, chopper crashes in middle of that weird horde, Godzilla chasing him ?, Robotic arm holding him for Skull Face, running from Metal Gear etc. Big Boss is a hero to me and it’ll be so emotional watching how he survive from these moments . Can’t wait for TPP!!!

What can I say, I’m a sucker for moments that put my hero in danger ;D…

        • Le Guy who drowned quiet

Hideo said the song will be in the ost but maybe he was referring to other mike oilfield. Songs of the 1980s

          • MichaelPayneV

Well, it could be the ending song, like “Way to fall”.

        • Gatsu

Kojima-san confirmed after Elegia trailer debut, that all the trailer songs will be in TPP =) !
          Which is superb.

          • MichaelPayneV

Sweet, in that case i’m glad “Not your kind of people” is in it!

      • Gatsu

Damn, you’re right :O…. So many were confirmed already, awesome <3! Happy that the trailer songs are included too.

    • mikeyyytexas

my TPP 80’s song wish list is

Queen – another one bites the dust (1980)
      Queen – bohemian rhapsody (1975)
Soft Cell – Tainted love (1981)
      Journey – Don’t Stop Believing (1981)
Phil Collins – In the air tonight (1981)
Michael Jackson – Billie Jean (1982)
Marvin Gaye – Sexual Healing (1982)
Michael Jackson – Beat it (1982)
      Eurythmics – sweet dreams (1982)
Afrika bambaataa & soul sonic force – planet rock (1982)
the clash – rock the casbah (1982)
      Van Halen – JUMP (1983)
      Journey – SEPARATE WAYS (1983)
New Order – Blue monday (1983)
George Michael – Careless Whisper (1984)

amongst others of course but I would die of happiness if i could get Jump, separate ways, and careless whisper in the game.

what about y’all what songs would you like to be in the game?

      • Ol’ Jack Burton

Here’s hoping Metal Gear goes even more meta!

  • For completing every mission with s rank trophy, thats just normal S rank right? not hard?

  • Nyxus, i just sent you the NDA contract from Konami to the reviewers and players of MGSTPP via e-mail.
Do you think is true or fake?

Didn’t post here due there is data from a reviewer, and didn’t want to put him in troubles, in case it’s true.

    Have a nice day πŸ™‚

    • MichaelPayneV

Don’t tell me they doing the same mistake WB did with Shadow of Mordor, embargo to not tell the bad things from a Geat Game that doesn’t need embargos.

Konami can go f…themselves if this is The Case, no Embargo is needed for TPP, i know for certain that it will not be a Perfect Game, so please Konami, don’t hide his flaws, we are more than ready to face them, and to know about them before we buy it, not cool if that is the case!

      • No, don’t worry, only the typical “don’t say weapons names, missions names, trophies, story stuff, etc.”
Not the bad stuff. Hardly someone could say bad stuff about the game, haha.

        • MichaelPayneV

Well, i hope this is only available for Spoiler Free Reviews, as in a Spoiler Discussion Review like Jeremy Jahns and Chris Stuckmann usually does for special Movies/Games, so hope is only just for Spoiler Free Reviews!

    • Probably fake, and anyway, there is no way to know if it’s real or not. πŸ™‚

      • MichaelPayneV

Unless you’re a Reviewer like Yong Yea or Total Biscuit, which i trust that they will deny to sign it if is a BS Embargo, and expose the Embargo, so only time will tell!

  • Golgari

What really bothers me from these trophies is that… something is not right here.
I mean, 9-10 key story missions with buddies we already know about? Not to spoil anything. So far there are only DD and Quiet trophy which is weird…

    • Franky

you mean there should be more support buddies in the final Game?

      • Golgari

        Well… I don’t know to be honest.
But I expect MGSV:TPP to have more buddies in the end.

        • MichaelPayneV

It already has, you start with 1, and you can end the game with 4!

          • RJRO

and maybe Ocelot right? or he was off the list?

          • MichaelPayneV

If he isn’t even willing to Translate for you, what makes you think he will go with you on Field?

The only Case he could work as your buddy, is if in the Story your Mother Base will get attacked like in the GZ Ending, and only then he will do it to protect you!

        • Gatsu

Hmm could it be that there will be more trophies, but all are not known yet?

I’m okey with 4 buddies, they’re made so well. Animations, AI etc :). I understand though, the more the merrier :D.

          • Golgari

Animation is not the problem. AI is the problem here.
But I wonder if you can have more than DD, Horse, D-Walker and Quiet? Like for example Grey Fox. Just as a small example.

          • Gatsu

I wouldn’t worry too much Golgari when the release is soon :). I think many games don’t give trophies for every important mission/quest, imo it doesn’t mean that there will be just 9 key missions in these areas.

One reason I didn’t want to read the list is if some heavy spoilers and another is this exact reason if I start to worry too much of things :D. What can I say, I like to be optimistic of everything TPP related :).

          • Golgari

Yeah. You are right. I just want MGSV to be the best thing ever. Trophies don’t have spoilers really. Everything there is basically we know of, except for some critical missions that don’t tell much.

          • Gatsu

Yeah I want it to be best too :). Lets hope it lives up to the expectations and most likely it will, because of Kojima and he wants to go out with a big bang.

    • No Place For Hayter

The whole trophy list seems skimpy as all frick, either some didn’t know what they were doing when they made the list or they knew exactly what they were doing.

    • decoyF0XX

There could be more buddies. The rationale for these trophies could be that *1.* D-Horse is your first buddy so you should get a trophy, *2.* DD and Quiet are secret buddies you can miss so you should get trophies for them too, and *3.* Maybe the other buddies are going to be available after a while as you progress and you can’t miss them so, no need for trophies.

I could just be in denial though hehe.

  • PrinceHeir

Not gonna click that link for sure πŸ˜›

But glad the game is almost done now for sure ^^

    • Gatsu

Yeah release is so close :).

      • Mini gear

soooooo closssse…… im gonna buy anouther and seal it in a vault in my house for no reason…. i need this game so bad. its so dang good imagining itm ^ – ^

        • MichaelPayneV

If you attended E3 and your name was Yong, you would have played it

  • MichaelPayneV

Yo, guys, you have to see this, Metal Gear Easter Egg in Arkham Knight.
You know those dead Screens from the Arkham Games? Well, this is The Best one!
    https://youtu.be/ZpIBUouzwrw

    • Daburcor

There is another Metal Gear Easter Egg in Arkham Knight in the form of Jack Ryder (who is coincidentally voiced by James Horan) making mention of nanomachines.

      • MichaelPayneV

        Didn’t knew about that.

        • Daburcor

It’s very easy to miss! Basically, every time you go to GCPD, make sure to talk to Jack until he starts repeating himself. xD

          • MichaelPayneV

For a while i thought that Jack Ryder was The Arkham Knight!

          • Daburcor

I thought he might be Hush. Turns out…

            *****SPOILERS*****

            …we were both wrong. xD

          • MichaelPayneV

I was disappointed by the reveal, way to obvious!

  • No Place For Hayter

I’m going to be honest and say the current stats of the poll surprised me, I’m just glad people agree with me, lol.

    • Raymondius

Well, having in mind that neither of them will talk to you… Who could resist, right? I mean… it’s a wolf. With a fucking eyepatch.

  • MichaelPayneV

Theory, plausible theory if you ask me!

Back to the E3 Trailer: The reason i think the Second Voice i think is not Ocelot, all tough it is Troy Baker, is that During the Trailer, no identical voice talked twice, and they talk in this order

Skull Face-Second unknown Character-Code Talker (people think)-Zero-Ocelot-Big Boss

My theory is that the second Character is Roy Campbell being Voiced by Troy Baker, and Troy Baker is known for voicing multiple Character in the same Game, in Games like Arkham City he voice Two Face and the 2 Robins, plus Campbell was born in the 40’s, so during The Phantom Pain he would be in his 40’s, younger than Big Boss, and a little older than Ocelot, and also Campbell should appear in TPP!

Just compare these 2, and tell me the Troy Baker’s Second Monologue doesn’t sound like a young Campbell!

Sorry but Skull Face did talk twice. Second time is at the end, before Snake imself.

Edit: Sorry, Skull Face talk THREE times.

      • MichaelPayneV

        Oh, yeah.

But still, if that is Ocelot, is a cassette tape waaaaaay before TPP, between GZ and TPP!

    • No Place For Hayter

While I don’t think its Cambell, I do acknowledge that Troy’s voice here is slightly different than his normal Ocelot voice, but I chalk it up to him entering “Cassette tape narrator voice”

      • Raymondius

To me, it sounds as a more calmed or relaxed voice, nothing more. We’ve only heard him in the exterior or via codec.

        • MichaelPayneV

I don’t Think Ocelot’s Vocie we hear in custcenes is an acting, and that he has a different voice when he is alone, it could be, Ocelot could make that Voice and have that long hair to Copy Big Boss, but i doubt that, that is his real Voice, maybe earn by smoking, so who is the other character Troy Baker is voicing here, is not just the Voice that’s different here, is also the accent and the tone in his voice, and the way he speaks, it must be either Campbell or a New Character, is definitely not Ocelot, it sounds nothing like Ocelot, he just sounds like Troy Baker!

      • MichaelPayneV

Maybe it is Ocelot years before TPP, during GZ, or maybe a Soldier that was close to Skull face, and defected to Diamond Dogs!

    • Javier

the second voice sounds like a young baker ocelot.

      • MichaelPayneV

So could it be around Ground Zeroes?

        • Javier

Don’t know. Could it be ocelot talking with zero?

  • MichaelPayneV

Is it just me, or that is the Peace Walker/Ground Zeroes Sneaking Suit glove on the hand waving on front of Paz?

    • No Place For Hayter

Looks like the hand from the new TPP sneaking suit, but I don’t have a close shot of its hand lol.

      • MichaelPayneV

Yep, it’s the New Sneaking Suit, so never mind!
EDIT: God Damn it, wrong picture, gonna have to delete it!

      • MichaelPayneV
        • Raymondius

I would also want to add something about those hands that I noticed long ago. Those are the same gloves that The Boss wore. Hers were white and Snake’s are black. I absolutely LOVE this new sneaking suit because it has at least one reference to every other previous sneaking suits some Snake has worn at some point. πŸ˜€

            Nice one πŸ™‚

          • Gatsu

That’s some serious investigation :D, nice.

          • MichaelPayneV

That’s a great find, not just a nice find, but a great find.

          • Raymondius

            Thanks Michael πŸ™‚

          • MichaelPayneV

You’re Welcome, i mean pretty good!

          • glitchbomb

Haha. I like how you drew out the Lil finger lines in case anyone missed it.

          • Raymondius

xD First images were too dark, but when I reached the last one I felt that Shinkawa feeling in my veins that made me draw random lines in borders just ’cause they are cool.

  • MichaelPayneV

64 days left (MGS3 took place in 1964)

    What a coincidence!

    • No Place For Hayter

Nice try but that number was going to come up no matter what πŸ˜›

      • MichaelPayneV

I didn’t say any different, all i wanted to say is how i made the connection, and almost missed the mark by…ok, 19 hours.

        You get what i’m saying.

        • No Place For Hayter

          Yeah, lol.

    • MichaelPayneV

And 64 bit Windows Required for MGSV!

  • MichaelPayneV

    • vic boss

Looks like phyton wasn’t entirely wrong after all.

      • MichaelPayneV

Yep, i knew it wasn’t Gray Fox, but i was also sure that Venom is not Big Boss, especially since the last trailer where Snake turns in to Skull Face, that showed me that he may not the same person!

  • Le Guy who drowned quiet

The scene in the e3 2015 trailer where bb is wearing a battle dress on mother base alongside skull face who’s most likely a hallucination and soldiers.the metal gear is not seek but the Rex prototype.why?coz you can see the it’s legs the stand and the spider like arms found on the oxm

    • WrongDirectionZ

looks very much like a early version of Ray to me

      • Le Guy who drowned quiet

i also thught the same but maybe the ray type legs are just a stand

        • MichaelPayneV

Well, some are saying that this Metal Gear is a Transformer like O.G. MG!

  • Gatsu
    • Woot woot

      • Gatsu

Junker also said that it will be first posted in Konami’s website.

    • Fox

I have seen enough, will pass on that. πŸ™

  • Tong Ninja

Has it been confirmed that if you can bring more than one buddy with you on a mission??
Like bring both Quiet and D.D. ? That would be a cool combo haha

  • Tong Ninja

Hey, someone posted a link to me on the previous article on this site … a group called Metal Gear Central interviewed Jim Piddock (voiced Zero from MGS3). If anyone is interested, here is the link. It goes for around 18 minutes. It starts off a little awkward at first, but got better as it progressed. πŸ™‚

One interesting piece of information was why he didn’t reprise the role of Zero in MGSV: TPP. He explained his side of the story in more detail. There was one really funny moment in the interview, but I won’t spoil it. XD
He also did a reading for Zero’s dialogue in the E3 2015 trailer if you want to compare voices.

Anyways I will miss his jolly British voice and his fetish for 007 from MGS3, but the new voice actor has done a fantastic job from what we’ve heard so far (in my opinion). He sounds more cold, professional and menacing. More fitting for a man who wants to control the world. πŸ˜€

    • Gatsu

Awesome :), thanks for the video! Also I agree about what you said of the new Zero’s voice, already loving it.

    • MichaelPayneV

The New Voice actor sounds like David Bowie!

      • Tong Ninja

David Bowie is 68 years old which is close to Zero’s age (in the 70s) in TPP. There’s a chance he might be Zero. Haha

    • glitchbomb

You are right. Really awkward at first.

  • turkishgamer35

very good list and its good to see there are no online trophies except just for playing an infiltration. two things for sure this is gonna be my first game on ps4 but “complete all tasks in all missions ” and “finish all missions to the rank S” not gonna be my first plat
