Alternate-run MGSV TPP gameplay video will be released next week
A few weeks ago we got a 40 minute gameplay demo for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, next week we’re getting an alternate run for this mission, showing a different approach.
Yesterday, Kojima posted a tweet stating they just got done voice recording for the video, and it will be released on Tanabata, a festival that is held on July 7. For this video narration is done by Akio Otsuka, the Japanese voice of Snake.
This new video will show ‘the same mission in different way of approaching, support, climate, time, buddy, & play style’, as described by Kojima himself. According to Junker, an English version will eventually be released as well.
In the meantime here is the 40 minute gameplay demo with Japanese narration, by Kaz actor Sugita Tomokazu.

They confirmed. That demo we saw on E3 will be available soon for the people. I would like to know date 🙂

Demo of open world? Without adding “invisible walls” that’s impossible. And even with that, it’s technically hard, to not spoil too much.
I just want to see how you will be notified when someone attacks your base during the mission…. And how you will interact with the enemy when you find them.
I kind of would like it if you really had to think about whether to complete the mission or abort to save your base, crew, equipment etc. It would make it more personal with your base.
Aww piss! I forgot about that, since not much has been said about it lately. Maybe that’s another reason you can’t customize the layout…

Can’t wait for this. Especially if the JP version is narrated by Akio Ohtsuka. All previous videos have been narrated by Kaz’s seiyuu.
Like other people have pointed out. Since Otsuka-San is doing the narration for JP will the EN version have Kiefer doing the narration? That would be cool if they can make it so Big Boss himself, narrates the gameplay demo.

Most likely Sean Eyestone again. He has been doing the english narration for all the demos so far. Kiefer is a busy man (I think). But it would have been cool though. 🙂
I used to listen to the mgs podcast from waaay early in the development and I have to say I really enjoy listening to his voice.
