From METAL GEAR SOLID 2: SONS OF LIBERTY comes a Nendoroid of the main character of the Plant chapter, Raiden! His face almost too beautiful for a solider has been faithfully shrunk into Nendoroid size, looking cuter than ever before!

Optional parts include his hand gun and assault rifle, a cardboard box as well as a naked body allowing you to recreate various popular scenes from the game! A special expression drawn for the Nendoroid by Yoji Shinkawa, the game’s art director, is also included!

Just like the previously released Nendoroid Solid Snake, he has special articulation allowing him to bend forward, which allows you to pose him prone to recreate even more of your favorite scenes! Have Raiden infiltrate your collection, and enjoy the cuteness of the Nendoroid world merged with the amazing designs from the game!

    You had me at Naked

  • I normally don’t go for these cutie pie versions of these characters but, the details on this bad boy right here has me considering it y’all haha

  • Solidus Türk

    Check up my detailed analysis!

    • BurntFM

      Python…is that you?

    • Maurycy Zarzycki

Jokes aside I watched that scene a dozen or so times and I am convinced that in that scene Skullface is not physically present:

      1. In order to appear the way he does he’d have had to been sitting/crouching yet the way he puts on his hat, moves forward or the way his clothes look doesn’t suggest he was in a different body position just a second ago.
      2. The same for when he disappears, he’d need to suddenly make a jerky step to his right and/or crouch+sit. While at the worst case I could believe he WAS standing up in the first case there is absolutely no point for him to make a sudden step to the side or sit down right after getting up. He could do it but logically it makes no sense in-universe.

So that’s why I am convinced.

      But what does it mean?

Big Boss is actually Solid Snake moved back in time after a genetic surgery which made him become younger!111one <3 (j/k, I have no idea what it means except that Big Boss going bananas)

      • I believe he’s not there and it’s BB hallucinating. But I’m wondering why. Why skull face? What happens for BB to forgive and then have respect for him, so much as too hallucinate that he’s still alive. What other scenes in the trailer. Where BB is upside down. In the jeep. This is going to be the best MGS

        • MeLand127

I don’t think BB forgive, respect etc skullface. More like ignoring him(well, Skullface will always be with BB right?). Have you seen arkham knight? you get it if you played it

        • Myles

I feel like Skullface in this scene is another of Big Boss’s past phantoms coming back to haunt him, perhaps youve already fought and killed SF at this point in the game?

      • RoderickThe13

I’m 100% that he’s not there, and I also think that he dies before that scene, maybe halfway through the game, which would explain why James Horan doesn’t have too many lines in the game according to his interview.

        • MeLand127

You do realize, James Horan trolling us right? In E3 2015 Trailer Skullface appears at many places(Metal gear cave, at the end of the trailers, etc). So I don’t think he will have less lines in the game. Hey, who would forgot lines which is very long and high words like in the mgs v e3 trailers, I think that’s my logical assumption 🙂

          • RoderickThe13

He doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that would troll about this, it’s more likely that he forgot the lines. Also, if he didn’t want to talk much in order to avoid giving away any spoilers then why didn’t he say that? I’m sure everyone would understand.

          • MeLand127

well yeah, that’s what I mean, but Why I say “trolling” it’s just for a funnier way to say that he avoiding spoiler dude. Sorry if my words to serious XD

      • Saxon McMichael

Given that I’m not an experienced detail analyzer for gameplay videos, I don’t exactly have the best backing on this. But in the most recent gameplay video where Akio narrates the game, it can be seen that “Punished ‘Venom’ Snake” is put in the flak suit, as shown above, When put in there, the description say something around the lines that it is the Sneaking Suit with ceramic plating for protection. And given that in interviews with 16hr game testers, many of them said that the sneaking suit was the best possible uniform BB could get, given it concealed footsteps, provided good player environmental concealment, and protection vs maneuvering. So to be able to get the SneakingSuit, you’d need to be pretty far along in the game, probably past the point where you realize SkullFace is an enemy.
Being that cutscenes are now changed to fit the player character, the Battle Dress is most likely a personal development (which again takes time to get, as such that it requires the SneakingSuit to develope) rather than a story progression reward.
But as with player developmental progression not exactly relating directly to story progression, the player for that specific cutscene with the Battle Dress may have fucked around for upwards of 20 hours, to get it.

P.s. YongYea stated in his 1 hour hands on testing of the game video, that he is 100% sure that Big Boss is actually Big Boss. (That is after ignoring details, by Kojima himself, say that Big Boss is Big Boss)

      Amazing.

    • PsychoMantis18

      No

  • BurntFM

Now we need a Chibi colonel to talk to Raiden via codec.

Colonel: I hear it’s amazing when the famous purple stuffed worm in flap-jaw space with the tuning fork does a raw blink on Hara-kiri Rock. I need scissors! 61!

    • ddmaster

Classic!!! Anyone know where I could get this as a ringtone?

      • BurntFM

That would be cool. I know you can get the codec sound somewhere online.

    • korruption

Toss a few “pyon!” and “poi!” phrases in there too. Kupo.

    • This is why I don’t feel bad about Kojima leaving Konami. I love Metal Gear to death its my favorite video game series of all time no matter what. But I believe he could have worked on other projects in between and Konami is crazy to not have pushed him, they could have had a lot more under their belt but because they have him only working on Metal Gear that’s all they have. Castlevania aint shit anymore. I really hope that whatever his next move is he’s able to fully give it all he has to give creatively and work on something he truly loves. I’m sure he still cares about Metal Gear but I’m sure he’s ready to move on. He stated it many times before and I’m really glad that he’s able to do it now.

      • Joaquin Romero Victorica

Well he was really exited to work on silent hills and they cut off his legs pretty much.

Silent hills could have been one of the best horror experience in the whole gaming history

Did you know even the Manga creator uzumaki was involved?

I’m not mad about metal gear becuase for me is the last one. But what they did to my second beloved franchise is unforgiving.

      • ddmaster

        Couldn’t agree more brother.

    • BurntFM

Yeah, it’s pretty old. But I always find it nice to look back at articles like this and see Kojima trying to explain his vision and looking at the present and see it realized in TPP

  • ddmaster

Said it before I’m not a big fan of figurines but I gotta say the pic where chibi Raiden is peeking out from under the cardboard box is pretty damn cute. ^o^

Plus the detail work on the cardboard box itself is amazing.

Sorry for Off-topic…in the recent comic-con,rumors has it that we might have a Blade reboot…as Blade fan im excited as long as it is not PG13 😉 http://static.underthegunreview.net/uploads/2013/05/tumblr_mli8x1HtAo1rwvm25o1_500.gif

    • MeLand127

Well man, I watched Terminator Genisys which having PG13(without blood anymore), and that movie still ROCKS AND still hit me in feels too. So, I think age restriction doesn’t really matter for as long as the content of the story is Very Good, and also depends on your taste of the genre of course 😉

by long time ARNOLD FAN XD

      http://i.ytimg.com/vi/Fz7ZEbyqj1M/maxresdefault.jpg

      • MrVux007

havent watched the movie yet so i cant comment…from what ive saw it has mixed reception

        • MeLand127

Well yeah maybe it has some flaws, there’s awkward scene(for me especially), and the movie trying to be funny in some scenes( some laughable actually), but some not funny for me. On top of it all I still enjoy the movie 😉

          • WhatTheJuicay

Yea that’s the thing about PG13 movies.. They always try to put unnecessary comedy in there.

          • MeLand127

well, some of the comedy was funny though, atleast they tried.

    • Gatsu

Noooo I don’t want Blade reboot :(… Wesley Snipes kicked ass in the movies too.

I mean if we take a look at some other reboots, like Robocop…what a horrible movie compared to the original one. The young folks learn to watch these reboots instead of the original classics.

But reboots can still be entertaining though. It’s just a shame Hollywood keeps doing them so much instead of coming up with something new.

      • MrVux007

Wesley Snipes would still play Blade in a reboot…even tho its likely they will make a sequel 🙂

        • Gatsu

Well he better play :D, because it’s like Terminator without Arnold.

          • MeLand127

            TRUE 🙂

    • Will

They should bring Guillermo Del Toro back to this franchise.

  • Major Ocelot

I want a Nendoroid of Ocelot. Any version of Ocelot. They’re all badass.

  • Tong Ninja

“Kojima Productions is being disbanded. But the struggle of the team is now almost at its end. May this be come the greatest masterpiece without exaggeration! I wanted to say “Kept you waiting” (laughs), but that was the last moment. MGS is immortal!”

  • PsychoMantis18

SOLD! Love their Snake figure and this looks fantastic also. So much better than Play Arts MGS line
