Game of the games, Best of the best blablablabla. How long are the cutscenes? We need more informations!!!!!!!!

    • Tong Ninja

I think one of the previewers said the game will be 90% gameplay, 10% cutscenes.

So for example, if the game took 100 hours to complete, there would be 10 hours of cutscenes (not including cassette tapes). However we don’t know how long the game will take to finish.

I rather not know how long the cutscenes are until I’ve played it. 🙂

      • Yeah, even if we know the percentage it’s difficult to know the length, as the gameplay parts are much longer in this game than in previous installments. So even if the percentage is a lot lower than before, that doesn’t necessarily mean it will have few cutscenes (although it will probably not have cutscenes as lengthy as in MGS4).

        • Mauricio Acosta

I still remember writing a review of Metal Gear Solid 4 on gamespot days after release defending the game saying how it was NOT a movie and an awesome experience. Man those cutscenes were awesome.

          • ddmaster

Is it still up, maybe archived somewhere? I would love to read it.

      • Hokieporter

One of my favorite MGS memories is the cutscene before the final battle in Sons of Liberty. I think the cutscene was around 45 minutes and when it ended I was still in awe of all the information and then had an ‘Oh crap’ moment of I still have to fight more!

        • “Our beloved monsters, enjoy yourselves.”

          • Mauricio Acosta

That sent shivers down my spine. I recently just beat Metal Gear Solid 2 again (Doing a play through of every Metal Gear game before MGSV) and that line was just…wow.

        • Mauricio Acosta

Hahaha, seeing Ocelot’s 50th double cross and just that feeling you got knowing at the end how alone Solidus really was.

        • Ozzman

That long cutscene was awesome dude

    • Ventris

      hahaha
      I would say around 5h top… 😀

  • Jassari96

Nothing surprising here, the game is so awesome and it just received the awards it deserves

  • MrVux007

That motherbase E3 stage, was pure gold!

  • Tong Ninja

    Awesome! 😀

Glad a lot of media outlets are praising Kojima and his team’s final masterpiece in the Metal Gear Solid Series. 😀

  • Old Liquid
    • Romain Robin

Tretij Rebenok, “The Third Child” in russian.

    • Le Guy who drowned quiet

      sdcc????????????/

    • Le Guy who drowned quiet

      This looks like a wig

    • CodeBox

      “The Third Child”, Interesting.
I heard someone say that the movie The Fury (1978) was Kojima’s inspiration for Psycho Mantis, not sure how accurate that claim is but maybe there are other children who like Mantis possess psychic ability and he was the third child that was discovered and brought into the experiment program in Russia?

    • Joaquin Romero Victorica

Nice Full head head kevlar in DD like D-horse ( Lol i Don’t know the word in english XD)

    • Mini gear

      solidus maybe? 🙂

  • Bartolomeo OP Snake Eater

I occurred to me late last night – Quiet is the 20 year old daughter of Snake raised by EVA – trained as an assassin. Tell me i’m wrong?

    • Snake is sterile.

      • Bartolomeo OP Snake Eater

        really? Never knew that

        • Well, it’s implied in MGS3 (same as The Boss), as Snake was a test subject on Bikini Atoll. He also says it in PO, but we don’t know if that’s canon.

          • Le Guy who drowned quiet

the boss was not in bikini atoll in an another place.

          • Mr.Pony

The Boss was in space, Big Boss in Bikini Atol

          • Le Guy who drowned quiet

            WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

          • SNKtheStampede

Yep, but before going in space the boss had already been exposed to radiation in atomic test, in 1951 if I’m not wrong. That’s why they chose her for mercury project.

          • Ravenous

Yep, that was the reason she was chosen AFAIK

          • Yes but The Boss was sterile as well due to being exposed to radiation, just like Snake.

          • #condomsnotneeded

          • Mr.Pony

The Boss tells that BB was in Bikini Atol in MGS3

      • Shut down with cold hard facts! Haha

      • Tibor

didn’t he asked Para-medic in MGS3 “Are you saying you want to have my kids?” ?

        • You’re right:

Para-Medic: “Snake, whatever happens to you, make sure you leave a descendant, OK?”
Snake: “Are you saying you want to have my baby?”

But maybe he was asking hypothetically. 😛

          • Tibor

😀 yeah maybe. but I feel like he would have told her that he can’t.

  • Ralexion

    “Yup! Its a game!”

What kind of award is that? lol.

    • J_muse72

      Inside Gaming is very interesting.

      • Ralexion

Hahahaha, damn, I enjoyed that, it was actually interesting! Thank you =>

  • J_muse72

      • Vic Boss

HAH! Now i remeber. This is from MGR behind scenes.
        Clearly fake 😀

    • Andrea Feletti

      Screen from ‘making of’?

    • Sn4ke_911

      Fake.

It’s the GZ model without beard.

      • MeLand127

  • Gatsu
    • stocchinet .

I’m italian, everytime i hear english people say that word i cringe a little bit, it sounds strange

      • Mr Gatsu isn’t English though not to mention you didn’t hear anything he typed it out. Questo non è un atteggiamento sano.

        • stocchinet .

It’s not an accusal to mr gatsu itself, i just never understood why saying “bravo” it’s so popular among “anglophone” people, the problem with the internet comments it’s to pass like a jerk if you don’t put thousand of smiley after a sentence to clarify the joke, peace out :-)))))))))

      • Gatsu

I very rarely use the word, but thought it fit well with the gif ;D.

    • Le Guy who drowned quiet

Don’t worry :), there’s no need to reveal it :D. I mean most of us might not reveal it.

          • Le Guy who drowned quiet

Unfortunately my google+ account which you have added in your circles is actually my real name as I made a dumb mistake when I created my account
