Well, I, on the other hand, like it a lot. I certainly prefer Kojima’s way of making trailers with themes and clues, but sometimes a man needs epicness and hype. Some choir music, some cool lines. This trailer also shows some more gameplay moments and confirms, that Skullface was not always an illusion.

Now I want to make my custom TPP music a bunch of 2Pac and Biggie but they were about 10 years after TPP.
Music doesn’t all have to be from the time period. I’ll be damned if I can’t listen to some classic rap while cruisin through afganistan. Problem is I use spotify. To the pirate bay!
I hadn’t even considered that. I exclusively use Spotify. Hopefully there will be a compatibility mod or something. Blasting “Who Shot Ya?” while running through bases with riot gear and LMGs should be fun.

imo it brings to mind the poster of Antoine Fuqua’s The Replacement Killers a little, which iirc, was the film that gave Kojima the idea to bring Harry Gregson-Williams on board!

I was listening few times. I think is Psycho Mantis, as the same sound it occurs when he shows up.
I mean, you can listen a little filtered sound, like if you were talking
thru a gas mask, like Mantis does.
Now you question about how could this child have an adult voice? Well,
he is Psycho Mantis after all, he can mimic sounds and voices, even face
if he gets inside your mind, so, i think, this is Psycho Mantis,
talking thru Volgin “fire spirit”, which is not Volgin spirit at all,
just Psycho Mantis, projecting a flame spirit of him.
So yes, probably its Psycho Mantis projecting the voice thru the “phantom” of Volgin.

I fucking loved seeing all the new stuff but yeah, was presented as a generic hollywood blockbuster kinda thing. But look past that and you have something that can go straight to the wank-bank.

Nah, the E3 Trailer had some shocks which answered some quiestion, but let you with a lot more question, and really intrigued, which this one sh*t on the whole mystery element of TPP.

spoilers in this trailer sucked. There was only one really bad one though, and I think most of it saw it coming given the plot structure of other metal gears
It has some new scenes that are awesome, but not too much story spoilers. New gameplay scenes, new quotes, some more of the attack on the hospital, Quiet headshoting an incoming F-16 jet driver, ah, what else? Oh and more Code Talking. 🙂

Remember the name reveal of young mantis?? It was translatet as ‘the third child’ and many assumed that it could somehow be connected to the les enfant terrible project. I think that this is rather a referrence to ‘the third kind’ a 1977 movie.
I think its pretty much possible in terms of his obvious superhuman abilitys…
So why ‘the third kind’ when it reads ‘the third child’? Becourse mgs5 themed voice and language aswell. Kind means child in german.

The University of Leningrad was almost completely destroyed in WW2 by german forces. So maybe this in connection with ‘the third child’. Another funfact is that its libary totaly ‘burned out’ 1949.

I’m not concerned with trailers or spoilers or theories. I don’t want to watch, guess, conjecture. I just want to PLAY! I have so many technical questions about Mother Base (that will hopefully get answered later). Development tree? Character customization? Like, can we customize the loadout for each member of MB? If so, are those loadouts saved so we can have a full MB staff of bright pink camouflaged soldiers armed with only smoke grenades? What about stats? Do our characters reload times or CQC abilities increase as their stats increase? So many questions…so much excitement!
Will there be any stream of the gameplay presentation later today?

Well, now since it is coming on the same day as the PS4 version, I think there is no reason to not chose the PC version if you have a pretty good PC!

Console is more likely the safe bet as games often work well. But PC is good choice if don’t have PS4, I bought it for MGSV originally so gotta stick with that haha :D.
Yep,both versions will offer the same beautiful game…but in the end preference will determine which of those gaming platforms will offer the ultimate experience…to me its PS4…also im planning to get a 4K tv when i get back,for that immersive cinema feel 😀

Well I tried to stick with a reasonable price range and read plenty of great reviews of this in my local Finnish shop. I received it yesterday, but gonna open up the box later when I move to new house and set up my stuff :).

I trust Junker :), I love the trailer although it is different from the others. But it has plenty of incredible scenes that makes me drool all over my keyboard. It just miss Kojima’s name so people think someone else did it.

I agree with you, I think we know nothing about the story and I also think that we’re in for a BIG BIG BIG surprise in this game somewhere. I mean on the scale of MGS2’s Raiden reveal. So there was a gameplay presentation just a few minutes ago. It showed the 3rd (?) mission, the one from E3, but in another way. He used a different method, different load out and a very special item, which is familiar for nearly every mgs player, but i won’t spoil it. The gameplay was presented in a german livestream by: inside playstation. the moment i write this post the stream is still streaming, but the gameplay demo was the very last presentation so you can find it easiliy. and for those who wonder, the presentation itself was in english, so you don’t have to worry.

Did you see that dynamic CQC? I hope the enemies will attack you in hand to hand combat instead of just smacking you with the butt of their gun or jabbing you with their knife.
Hopefully those A++ soldiers will put up a fight if you don’t sneak up on them (correctly)

Honestly, I liked this year’s E3 trailer better, it just has a feel of “man my life is f***ed but if I am going to hell, I am taking everyone with me”. That’s how I feel.

Not much really, there is a lot more Volgin and Psycho Mantis in it then previous trailers. And a super badass MLG shot from Quiet.

1:38 to be exact when it says “And uncover the truth”. Stop it right there.. you at least get to see some new gameplay shots but no story scenes.
It’s not imo any more spoilerish than other trailers. Basically the 2nd half of the trailer starts showing pretty many new awesome cutscene parts, then there is gameplay scenes too before that showing Africa.
Africa looks amazing though, like my God I can’t wait to get dirty in the rainforests.

I don’t get why so many people have issues with this trailer. I think it is great. I know there isn’t a ton of story in there, but we need one trailer that appeals to newcomers and tells the basics of the gameplay. Remember not everyone has watched 200 hours of demos and trailers and analyzing each word of kojima’s 5000 tweets…
i swear my ferret is crazy sometimes. i come home to see it inside my mattress and i have to cut the side open to get my little buddy out -.-
