Gamescom video shows new variation on ’A Hero’s Way’ mission
Gamescom 2015 brings a new variation on the ‘A Hero’s Way’ mission, which was also shown last E3. Again, the game is played by Jackie and narrated by Sean Eyestone.
Attendees of gamescom are able to play this mission for themselves at the show as well.

O.o I’m on my phone so I can’t check the sheet but last time I checked it was just sorted by platform except a few guys who signed up after the sorting was made. Guys just see check if the contents of your lines are correct and later it will be sorted again by platform (and clan if its justified)
I partly cleaned it up by making it even and green. There were lines that were randomly white and red. Let’s see how long it takes for someone to mess it up again.

Whatever you or your friends want. Lets say you add me. You need help with defending your FOB. I help. You want to play MGO3 but i’m not yet playing MGO3 so there is another one on that list that will play MGO3 first and will be glad to join you. So the answer shloud be: it is for FOB, MGO3, and both and Trophie/Achievement competition and to trade messages on your console or whatever you want. It’s just a list o MGI members, you may add most of then or only some or just the ones who will have a play style closer to yours or the same country XD Once you are friends on your platform you do what you want 😉
Mmmk! I shall seeeeee what to do…. all depends on my time and how vicious FOB attacks are. Univ + MGS5 + Video recording = Busy me. If ‘friends’ online could defend it whilst offline, that’d definitely be good. Though unsure how the system would work cause it’d be stupid if we all get spammed ‘Friend being invaded’ every time a friend gets invaded incase you have a lot of friends – and perhaps have multiple invasions happening at the same time? lol…. idunno.

I think Kojima wants to move on and do something different, I know that with every MGS he said that this is the last one but I think this time he means it. And TPP fits perfectly to be the last MGS as it merges Big Boss and Solid Snake saga

I’m assuming you played the same A Hero’s Way mission at Gamescom? What was your playstyle, as in your loadout, time of day, weather, approach, etc?
Yessir. I had to tag and kill a soviet commander. I took a pretty basic approach. D-Horse was availeble from the start so I took a ride to the mission area. Time of the Day was 18:00. Weather was normal. The area was small but there where many guards on patrol.

did you go lethal or stealth? did you notice pop in? did the amount of words on the screen (if you enterd battle) get distracting? how were the buddies? were there any glitches. how smart was the ai? how was it compared to GZ for you? thanks
I took the stealth approach. If pop in was present I didn’t noticed it. I fucked up by jumping out of the box lol. Combat was fast and responsive . BB didn’t stick to walls as much as in GZ. I only tried D-Horse. He felt a bit strange to control. Game was very polished. Ai was tricky. Guards became suspicious in no time. It was more responsive and faster then gz.
Does it play as good as it looks? Is the game, input-wise, similar to GZ? Did you see any wild life/weird stuff? Did you get to interact with Mother Base via IDroid? If so, was it overwhelming at first to use or was it simple/intuitive right from the start? Could you deploy support buddies/vehicles?

Hell yes. No graphical downgrade here. 😉 Game is more responsive than GZ. Didn’t see any wildlife. Didn’t interact with mother base because of time limit.

Since it was said you began with low stats on the mission demo, with how much fulton devices do you begin with and can you buy more from your idroid to request for drop off.
How did you feel the ai?
I had a playthrough of 20 min so I didn’t have the time to take note of every detail. I can confirm, however, that the Ai is great.
how orgasmic was it?
It played faster than ground zeroes. So my orgasm came earlier.
Did you guys notice Sean appears in the mother base gameplay video, when Ocelot throws a bucket of water in BB?

Sean said that previews demos had very high level ranks so they could show you all the features. On this build they said it was the based gameplay like you will see your first time doing this mission in this part of the game. So the “social link” ;P is not that high yet

Snake just ditched the horse so he could have something much more cool, and to salt the wound snake just humiliated the horse by attaching a balloon to it. That’s equally cute and heart breaking.

Upgrading fob/motherbase is something you do can also do during your off-line gameplay (missions/side-missions)

My guess is we can build and upgrade out motherbase during offline solo (side)missions by finding matherials and raw diamonds and fulton and recruite enemien soldiers for R&D

I’m getting for PS3 too, Day One Edition.
I remember playing Metal Gear on my Nintendo when I was 8. First thing I read was “This is Big Boss…” And being so intrigued. I played the game a lot. Later, I’ve learned it wasn’t a Kojima game, but nonetheless it made and impact on me. When I bought Metal Gear Solid with my summer job money as a teen, all those memories of days and nights playing metal gear on my Nintendo as a child, came flooding back. And learning the terrorists wanted the remains of Big Boss, in the beginning of the game, my jaw dropped. I’ve been a HUGE fan since. Then, actually playing as Naked snake in Snake Eater, and making the connection, “it’s Big Boss” as a good guy…further blew my mind. All the games in between also, love the story. Now, to finally see Big Boss’s story fully unfold and see the tragedy that ensues..the Joy, the Sorrow…I love Metal Gear. Anyone else?

The use of the cloaking device doesnt allow you to get a rank in a mission. A nice way to balance the gameplay
Yeah, any “Special” items will do that to your rank.
I LOVE that setup, because it encourages me to play it for real the first time, and to be careful to get that s rank. Then I can go back and use the special equipment and have an easier time doing the optional objectives.
That is our reward after all, infinite ammo and stealth camo all the best missions 🙂 after all we probably have to S-rank the hardest ones to get them in the first place, lol.
I just with there was a Special item like the magnetic field from MGS2, now that would be AWESOME, it would be like the stealth camo of the combat side of the game nothing can touch me 🙂

Gameplay looks great. I popped my PS2 cherry with Sons of Liberty when I was 18. I thought it was the weirdest coolest game I’ve ever played. Now we’re going open world?! Metal Gear and the brilliance of Kojima is a gift that keeps on giving. I can’t wait to build my army. Hell, I can’t wait to build my army’s emblem! There is just so much to do I’ll be kosher during Winter. “SNAAAAKKKEEE!!!!”
