MGSV: The Phantom Pain will be at Tokyo Game Show 2015

Despite the game already being out, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be making an appearance at Tokyo Game Show 2015, coming up later this month. It will be present in playable form, as well as with a trailer.

Konami has opened its official website for TGS 2015, which you can find here. The Japanese site also mentions FOB and Metal Gear Online.

It seems from the confirmed lineup that Konami has little else to show, the only other console title aside from MGSV is PES 2016.

There will also be a series of stage events, but a schedule hasn’t been announced yet.

Tokyo Game Show 2015 takes place September 17th – September 19th.

  • I don’t know why but some recent elements have quite disrupted a bit my attention towards events like TGS, E3, GamesCom, GDC, CES… xD

  • MichaelPayneV
  • JJBYACH

They are probably doing this because Konami realised they have no other games to show lol.

  • Gatsu

Well the more TPP the better I guess! But I will be busy playing it instead of watching TGS :).

    Ok guys….
V has come to (my house)!
See you in the next geological era!
    Keep up the good work!

    • Have fun! ( ‘ ‘ )7

      • VenomSnake1974

For sure! Just finished hospital sequence: got no words…

    • Gatsu

Enjoy brother <3, amazing things await for ya!

Any info on when servers will be up? I was able to log in yesterday for like 5 minutes, can’t get my reward for today if I can’t sign in. Still haven’t been able to upload my gz save because of this :/

    I…I…I…This game…… Is……everything I have wanted in a game!

    • Cobra Commander

I absolutely loved the opening intro set to Man Who Sold The World!

P.S. Is that the original? Whenever I think of Man Who Sold The World I always hear the Nirvana version in my head. I always pictured it as being from the 60’s, in the game it sounds very 80’s synth/pop.
      Anyway back to Afghanistan!
(Just met a certain someone and his creepy unit after hanging upside down)!
I’m sure we want to just gush about certain sequences, but I know some fellow Diamond Dogs have yet to play.
Spoilers are still a no-no right now correct?

      • Gatsu

That song gave such feels in the beginning <3. It's not the original by David, but this is the Midge Ure version, or how was the name spelled.

Yes lets try keep spoilers off for this week, maybe later can talk of the beginning. Some might still not have the game.

        • Jonatas Praxedes

Ive heard that version on my cd of the soundtrack. I like Bowie version more. Sounds more…organic!

  • 4energyplaylist .

Is not missable, is in the main missions (22). After Mission 22 you can manage your FOB.

  • 4energyplaylist .

Yes you can choose any soldier you want from your Security team. You have some female soldiers.

    • Raven_Sorrow

Yeah at Africa I found a female pow 🙂 R&D but its something xD

  • BOBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB

Maybe they’ll have some sort of info on MGO?
    Pfft yeah right.

  • Derrik Touve

You should add to this story, the Phantom Pain row isn’t fully translated.
It includes FOB and Metal Gear Online.

    “メタルギアソリッド V ファントムペイン
    (FOBオンライン/メタルギアオンライン)”

Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain
    (FOB Online/Metal Gear Online)

  • V has come to take over my freaking life.

  • WELL IS TIME FOR MGO3 TO TAKE THE SPOT LIGHT!
we still have lots of new stuff to look for in the future… still Kuntami has already ran out of ideas…. lol

  • Mr. Sir Shpee

I would hope that we get to finally see new MGO gameplay. I’m a bit concerned that we’ve only seen that one scripted demo.
