3000GP, XP Boost and collector’s edition items available for Metal Gear Online

Recently the downloadable Metal Gear Online bonuses included with the Collector’s Edition of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain were made available for download on the PlayStation Store. Konami announced on Twitter:

Alert: MGSV:TPP CE PlayStation Owners – Go to the PlayStation Store, the MGO items are now available and your Exp boost is with the Rex head

It is in the store, if your code confirmed, it should appear there. Contact http://konami.com/support  they will walk though it.

Konami Europe also announced a small compensation for the inconveniences caused by the stability issues of MGO. Furthermore, the XP boost, which doesn’t seem to be working for a lot of people, has been extended as well.

To all MGO players, a compensation for the matching stability issues has been sent to each of you. Apologies for the inconveniences.

3000 GP have been sent to all players, and the XP Boost MGO promotional code duration has been extended from 2 to 3 weeks.

That little bit closer to getting my beret.
    10000GP is so stiff!

    • Lewis

Btw, about GP. I got my boost and my Rex-hat on launch day. But I didn’t get any GP. Is that normal? Or do I have to get it now? There is nothing in PS store except for MGO data.

      • The 3000GP is compensation for the inconvenience, so that is something new.

        • Lewis

Oh, thank you, so I didn’t read well enough!

  • SiodogRehane

im still waiting to see “the boss” “reborn” in ps4 and other platforms, why xbox can have dlc earlier

    • Konami said the early release of the DLC was a mistake, and they removed it from the Xbox store as well.

  • Cool. I wish I could play MGO right now *sigh* The wait goes on

    • Kol Leqejza

honestly, you’re missing nothing. stick to singleplayer cos there u will find stealth gameplay. in mgo not, so far. gonna wait a month til those hyped kids leave the servers. i’ll give em a month tops.

  • Solid Old

The MGS3 outfit dlc should be available on MGO too!!! that would be nice! But I don’t think it’s happening :/

  • Jav

I was expecting some personalization in tpp like in mgo.

  • PrinceHeir

Is the boost have a time limit of some sorts??

Also, Wow so today is my birthday(Oct 13). Time sure flies by huh?? ^^

If people remember it last year. I made a request as a present to me, to buy The Evil Within for themselves which came out a day before my B-day. Even if people were already planning on buying The Evil Within before i even made a request, i’m glad people supported the game either way.

I would like a similar request as well. To support other stealth games like Deus Ex Mankind Divided and Hitman 6 or if you like MP games, Uncharted 4 which is going to be a beast in multiplayer for sure ^^

Either one is fine. It’s always good to support the stealth genre since we’re finally getting a lot of games in that genre lately.

That is all. Sorry for writing this long and thanks for your time for reading this. Enjoy MGSV and MGO3 in the meanwhile 🙂

It’ll be the end of the year before i even finish this game tbh ^^

    • Lewis

Happy Birthday, man. May the real cigar be with you.

    • Happy birthday, and don’t forget to boot up TPP.

      • PrinceHeir

        Definitely Boss ^^

    • Tong Ninja

      Happy Birthday! 😀

In my opinion, video games involving stealth over the years has always been consistently good!
Stealth game franchises like MGS, Deus Ex, Splinter Cell, Hitman, Thief and Tenchu are great examples. 🙂

I love the Uncharted series as well and really look forward to Uncharted 4. 🙂
But I need to buy a PS4 first though … haha

    • Gatsu

      Happy B-Day Prince-chan <(^_^<) !

Deus Ex:MD is gonna kick ass, really looking forward to it :D. Lots of amazing games coming for me, Fallout4, Deus, UC4,FFXV,ME4 etc.

Stealth, RPG, Horror and Scifi genres are my favorites. It's good to support stealth. Some genres have been pretty quiet. Good scifi ones like Mass Effect don't come often. Also barely any good new horror games out there which is a shame :(. I'm excited to see something more next year of CDProjects upcoming scifi game Cyberpunk 2077, which they informed to be somehow bigger than Witcher 3 ^_^.

I enjoy Hitman, but I dislike it that how they release the next game. As sort of unfinished "work in progress", with 7 missions or something at first and more added later. At least I remember reading something like this of it.

      • PrinceHeir

Yeah their doing it with how RE revelations 2 came out. Ill wait for the full retail version tbh.

UC4 and DXMD are most hype games right now. FFXV ill be hype once they announced the release date ^^

If you have a Wii U. Fatal Frame V is coming out. Digital US only and EU has a limited edition physical run of it.

        Thanks for the greetings ^^

        Lets play some MGO someday.

    • Ardens Anima

I already had TEW on My list, but that only encourages Me more to get it!
Thanks man, and have a good birthday! 🙂

      • PrinceHeir

Thanks for your greetings as well!!

        Much appreciated ^^

  • WhatTheJuicay

I have the CE but don’t even remember what I’m supposed to be getting for mgo. I know single player I got some precious metals shields and some guns I barely use.

      • WhatTheJuicay

Lol oh no wonder I forgot. Pretty boring and useless. They say we will be the envy of our friends with those gold guns. You know what would really get people’s envy, if we actually got some useful stuff. How about guns that weigh nothing. Heck maybe a sneaking suit that makes no noise? Or was the plastic baby hand too expensive to include useful digital items? /rant.

  • Ardens Anima

So, is anyone else with the Day One edition PS3 version not getting the XP Boost? Or am I the only one?

    • Boris Leal

      • Ardens Anima

        We’re both……without XP Boost.
You, and Me. We’re the same…person without XP Boost.

  • What mine worked on PlayStation day one. Didn’t even noticed the problem.
