  • Danny Patten

    Very well deserved!

  • Stuart

Fuck yeah, no other game deserves it SUCH a good game, 200 hours in and still loving it

    • Janeo

The game has been out for two months and I have missed just two days playing since it came out, I am 190 hours in with 73% completion and the game just doesn’t get boring. It’s just too bad we most likely won’t be getting any story dlc for the game, the game is perfect for it, just one more large area with 20 story missions and some new side missions would be amazing.

  • FMercenary

    Cor blimey, guvnor!

  • Gatsu

Excellent :D! This year is so amazing in gaming. Bloodborne, Witcher 3, MGSV and Fallout 4. They all deserve the best awards imo. I haven’t played Fallout 4 yet, but it’s Fallout, enough said. Next year is gonna be heavenly too xD.

    • Next year will be crazy: Uncharted 4, Zelda Wii U, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Quantum Break, The Last Guardian, Final Fantasy XV, …

      • Gatsu

Indeed 😀 and Deus Ex:Mankind Divided, Dark Souls 3 and No Man’s Sky (I think). I’m sure there was a bunch of others too <3.

        • Yeah, like Scalebound and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.

          • Tom Brearley-Smith

            Hitman 6?

        • FoxTamerMGO

Plus Playstation VR games like Tekken 7 ;’DD

          • Gatsu

Damn, my wallet is gonna be drained next year haha XD.

        • decoyF0XX

          Dark Souls 3!!!

          • Gatsu

He’ll yeah :D! Check out Ni-Oh gameplay too if haven’t! It looks like a mix of Souls and Shenmue/Ninja Gaiden.

          • decoyF0XX

I just checked out Ni-Oh, looks awesome! I see a little Onimusha in it too, gonna be following the game now!

          • Gatsu

Hmm I meant Onimusha xD and not Shenmue, Onimusha I have played out of the two lol. But I dunno why I said the one I havent played.

          • decoyF0XX

Haha okay. Have you also seen Nier 2?? I didn’t play the first game but this one looks cool.

      • Tong Ninja

        Persona 5, Kingdom Hearts 3 (maybe) …

I know, so many games with great potential out next year. 🙂

      • glitchbomb

Almost forgot about quantum break and the last guardian. Here’s hoping they don’t get pushed back much further.

      • Alex

        Virtual Reality…

      • Doktor_C_H_A_O_S

Dont forget DOOM 🙂 H:ZD does look interesting, and im starting to get seriously excited about DS3 and Hitman after seeing the latest gameplay footage.

    • War Games Via Live Bullets

I’ve yet to to flush out Bloodborne, but from what I’ve played it seems really fun. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt stands at the top of my list at the moment as my 2016 GOTY. MGSV:TPP and Batman: Arkham Knight are both great games that I’m still spending hours with. Mortal Kombat X earlier this year was one of the greatest fighting games I’ve played. I had the privilege to experience Mad Max, and it is a neat, addicting game. Indeed, this year has been amazing in the gaming industry.

And still, we have Need For Speed coming out this Tuesday. It looks to be one of the best racing games out there. Then, as you said, Fallout 4, which we all know, everyone will sink endless hours into- losing ourselves to this digital world. Finally, to close it off, we have Star Wars Battlefront, more than likely going to be the most dominate multiplayer game out there.

Xbox One owners has it better with not only the games that were mention but also with the recent release of Halo 5: Guardians and the upcoming Rise of the Tomb Raider. Next year, however, we have Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End…My goodness….the best (imo) writer in the gaming industry Neil Druckmann is at the helm too. Whoa! Just thinking about Uncharted 4 gives me chills. Among all the amazing games coming out in 2016 (Hitman, Ni-Oh, Mafia III, etc.), Mass Effect: Andromeda and Final Fantasy XV are the two games that will, I think, be giving me that lasting appeal that I know Fallout 4 will hand me. Two years in a roll. Hopefully it keeps going like this.

      • Gatsu

Nioh looks awesome and forgot to mention one of my most anticipated games of next year, ME4 ^_^. Hoping to see more of it soon.

      • decoyF0XX

I just got Bloodborne yesterday and I’m soo stoked! Gonna be starting this night. I want to take games one by one these days so I’m only going to get The Witcher after I’m done with BB, hopefully before the year runs out! I bet one of either will be my GOTY.

        • Gatsu

Enjoy :D! Bloodborne is so cool!

        • solidsnack

i got bloodborne on release and i’m still playing it! you’ll have a good time.

          • decoyF0XX

It’s a lot of fun already!! I miss the Dark Souls shields though.

Here’s an interesting Video about MGS ‘Myths’

    • Gatsu

I’m hoping they really will do something together in future :D. I don’t exactly remember did they confirm to be working on some project after MGSV.

      • There were still plans to do something together: http://www.metalgearinformer.com/?p=20891

        • Gatsu

Alright, awesome 🙂 yeah that was the news I sort of remembered lol. Would be cool to see what these talented dudes could create together.

          • Spectralb***plug

            A TV SERIES MAYBE ?

          • Gatsu

            I guess anything is possible.

          • Alex

I’m looking forward to a cool surprise at PSX in December.

    • Venom_Sina

He really wants to do a thing with Kojima.Looks like he’s dying to do it.I hope they team up and make Silent Hills(with a different name of course).

      • FoxTamerMGO

Yeah, it doesn’t have to be titled “Silent Hill”.. anything from Kojima/Del Toro is gonna be as awesome as P.T. ;’D

        • Gatsu

          O God I hope it happen ;D.

      • glitchbomb

I didnt think i could get anymore bummed about that project being cancelled until very recently when i saw this interview where GDT talked about how Junji Ito was involved with the Silent Hills project as well.
I somehow missed that detail before.
        Arrrrg. >.<

        http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/05/15/guillermo-del-toro-laments-what-silent-hills-couldve-been

      • Full Options

        “Silent Pains” or something… 😀

  • Boldizar

This is as dumb as Assassins Creed or Call of Duty winning anything. More support of AAA titles being flawed and released besides not running or being completed.

    • It’s just an opinion. Every game has its flaws.

    • hunner

….Did…did you really just compare to Metal Gear to Call of Duty? Really?

    • Gatsu

TPP is pretty awesome compared to AC or CoD imo. It didn’t have almost any bugs (for me) or flawed release. Only thing it didn’t have was an ending you wanted and it seems it’s still making you angry in each comment you do :P.

      • Spectralb***plug

EXACTLY.IKONAMI WOULD put a lawsuit ON KOJIMA IF HE MADE CHAPTER 3 ALONG WITH AN ADDITIONAL ENDING.A KOJIPRO STAFF SAID IT

      • Full Options

Yeah, seems we have to precise simple points like MGSV was also better than Wii-fit or something… xD

    • Spectralb***plug

A sorry but your opinion is flawed I’mo

  • Ro1

Congratulations, MGS V has the best control, combat and gameplay than any Third-Person Game and critics know it.

  • hunner

1:17 That impression gave me fox die 🙁

    • Plissken

Sounds like a guy doing an impression of Kiefer Sutherland doing an impression of David Hayter. Luckily, they chose not to go that route in the game

      • JoJo

I dunno, when Snake gets shot I feel like it’s almost as though they got Kiefer to emulate David’s “arrgh” noises. They sound very similar.

        • Full Options

I think that’s also because both David and Keifer were told how Snake’s voice should sound like. Although they, for sure, kept a lot of David’s pioneering intonations because it worked very well so far.

        • Alex

That’s more of a sound effects work making them two sound similar.

  • NegaScott128

So I made a MGS3 tribute video/trailer. What do you guys think?
    https://youtu.be/Q1HOuK1_kEc

  • MrVux007

Congratulations,to Kojima,Kojima pro. and MGSV.I didn’t expect any less from them and this even more strengthens my hunger for MGSV…
God i cant wait to play that game

  • Ronald Townsend

what’s the difference in ultimate goty and critics choice?

    • Tong Ninja

I think critics choice was based on judges only.
Ultimate GOTY was based on some of the judges and the general public (via voting?). Not 100% sure though …

  • Maynard

Congrats Kojima Production and Happy Halloween

  • Jack Raiden

    Congrats to KoJiPro.

    Off Topic:
I’m stuck right now at episode 50 and am not very motivated to do this mission at all. So I would like to know whether or not there will be a new cut scene after it?

    • Danny Patten

Quickly remind what mission 50 is again?

      • Tom Brearley-Smith

That’s the mission where Snake takes on Sahelanthropus in a boss battle.

    • BigBoss_S_Rank

There’s nothing new after beating Sehelanthropus on Extreme in mission 50…unfortunatly.

  • Jav

I completed all episodes in s and all tasks but my game is in 95%. Why?

    • No Place For Hayter

Under the menu where you can quit to title there is an option to see your play progress, and under there is a tab for game completion which will show you what you are missing.

      • Jav

        I didnt know that.

    • JoJo

I’m willing to bet you haven’t caught all the animals. That was the painstaking final touch for me.

      • Jav

Yeah, I don’t have them all. I thought that was just for the trophy.

        • XOF

if you get stuck with capturing all the animals, look up powerpyx on youtube. He gives you the exact locations on where the animals are.

          • Jav

            Yeah, thanks.

  • 4energyplaylist .

Can’t not believe someone said on the end – Destiny. Seriously? Yeah…maybe if haven’t played anything else.

Fully deserved Game of The Year is The Witcher 3. I wish to CD Projekt Red to win everything this year.

I know we still have Fallout 4 and Battlefront to come but The Witcher 3 with handle with this easy.

    • MrVux007

different people ,different opinions….to you all the rewards must go Witcher 3,to some all the rewards must go to MGS V … And to some all the rewards must go to Destiny…no matter how silly or stupid their choice might be,it’s still only an opinion and it shouldn’t affect YOUR choice …I managed to play Witcher 3(not all of it tho) I can’t wait to see how MGSV compares to it…

      • FoxTamerMGO

So you’re basically saying the GOTY award doesn’t mean shit.. but if MGSV wins it you’ll be like “MGSV GOT THE GOTY! SUCK ON THAT SUCKERS!” lol

        • MrVux007

“So you’re basically saying the GOTY award doesn’t mean shit..”
No I’m basically saying, that it’s someone’s opinion and that it shouldn’t affect other people choice….
If the MGS V won all the rewards possible I would still say what I wrote in the previous comment…
But first I need to actually play the game, but from what I’ve herd both MGS V and Witcher 3 has its own pros and flaws, and weather or not those games better then the other would depend entirely on user preference…hopefully I cleared up some things for you now…

        • XOF

i don’t think that’s what he meant at all lol

He is saying that you shouldn’t take any of the GOTY award or other awards too personally. So for eg. if Destiny won like 3 awards at this event, don’t be too bitter/upset about it even if you completely disagree with the decision from the critics/ judges. Your favourite game you played this year might be different from what the critics or even the general public thinks. At the end of the day your thoughts/opinions > other people’s opinions.

    • Lewis

I really don’t want to live in the world, where Witcher 3 is the best game. Idiotic writing in some places, wooden animations, no spirit of being a witcher, choices reminded me of deciding what to buy in a shop, lots of quests didn’t go far from MMO quests. And most of all – no sense of importance. There is war? I’ll just freely help Temerians, then I’ll go facehug Nilfgaardians. My daughter is in grave danger? Let’s play another round of Gwynt. And some of it even would make sense, if you had money problems. Like in books, Geralt was almost always broke, he had to do some “go bring” tasks. But in W3? I’d rather go and read books again. Or even play W1.

  • NakedSnake85

u know what? time in MGSv is on 1:20 time scale. is it possible that we could see new content soon? like i dont know. outer heaven?

  • BurntFM

It’s always good to see the game get recognition. Also good on Witcher 3. Definitely one of my favorite games this year. I haven’t even started the expansion. MGSV and Witcher have eaten away hundreds of hours of my life lol.

  • JJBYACH

So heads up for any of us Fallout fans out here: review copies are out and leaks are floating the web, so far nothing too spoilery, just screenshots of mostly stuff we have seen at e3 at different angles with some early impressions translated from a Spanish blog. But be weary.

    https://twitter.com/j8s21/status/660801029881987072

  • PrinceHeir

The Witcher 3, Bloodborne and MGSV are huge contenders in the GOTY 🙂

    • MrVux007

let’s hope Fallout 4 will join that list…
No love for Arkham Knight tho?

  • grapes9h5

MGSV is masterpiece. I think its the best MGS even though it carries the burden of being narratively incomplete IN MAJOR and devastating ways. At the end of the day the game is so goddamn good I don’t even care, and I absolutely come to Metal Gear for the epic story and vast lure, but Ive stayed with MGSV for the incredible, perfected, and highly addictive gameplay. I also do think the story, what we got of it, was very good, MGS1, 3, or even 4 good? No, but still good and with some very very interesting new elements to the lure and some very fascinating twists and turns.

  • MrVux007
