PlayStation Awards 2015: MGSV wins Users’ Choice Prizes and Platinum Prize (over 1M sold in Asia and Japan)
On December 3rd, the annual PlayStation Awards were held in Japan to celebrate the year’s most successful games in the region, and MGSV took home several prizes.
The games have to be released between November 1st 2014 and October 31st 2015 to be eligible.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain won in three categories: the Users’ Choice Prize Japan, the Users’ Choice Prize Asia and it received a Platinum Prize.

As you can see, this also confirms MGSV: The Phantom Pain has sold over 1 million copies in Japan and Asia. Last year, Ground Zeroes won the Gold Prize for selling over 500.000 copies, as well as the Users’ Choice Award, while MGS3: Snake Eater and MGS1 were rewarded in the 20th anniversary categories. Konami is just a little bitch…I don’t understand that unprofessional behavior. I mean what could possibly have happened between Hideo and Konami that they act like little brats? Did Hideo screw the CEOs wife or something? Did the stole billions of $ into his private fund? Did he kill the CEOs hamster? Agreed, this was sooo hysterically childish. It is weird, I never saw a Japanese international group react like little bird droppings as such. They always top-control their com !? Must be personal problems with HK or the biggest prank of the universe, but nothing professional at all ??
Hope this wins. I just watched the Elegia trailer for the first time since the game came out – and holy shit, I got chills all over my back, I remembered the hype train leading up to it, the immediate reactions of me and all you fans watching the trailer and wow, I realised that I don’t think I will ever have that experience again with any other piece of entertainment in any medium. So the point of my irreverent rambling is that even if the game wasn’t exactly what I wanted (it’s still GOTY potential in my opinion), the hype and anticipation and theorising and debating and all those memes leading up to its release more than warrants this games’ existence. The song and scenes fit so well together. I just can’t get enough of them haha. I remember when Elegia trailer debuted, we had like 100 comments in the article in 5 seconds lol. I’ll never forget the fun hype train I had with you brothers for 2-3 years ^_^.
I don’t think I will experience something like that again, I’m excited for some upcoming games but it’s nothing compared to how I waited for my lovely MGSV <(^-^<). All the theories etc…and people going crazy.
Hopefully, Krapnami will put cool fanboys devs on the franchise.

Yeah, Affleck always had a lot of volume. I guess he could have been better directed sooner, but everybody has the full picture now. Jesse Eisenberg has an extremely high potential. The problem with big talents is that they are stuck to their very first roles and that nuts producers think of them as a possible solution for their characters, instead of realizing that such talents can play any role.

I really love Eisenberg’s Lex. I know he is non canon, but I love when designers try a clever change. Hope he will have some ground behind that madness. Not like “I’m mad, look at me”, but really proper dark. Some of his quotes I quite like already.
i don’t know bro i was really excited at the moment (should this be considered a spoiler?) they show doomsday but at the same time i thought he looked horrible, it was a weird mix of feeling at the same time. coolness/sickness i seriously wonder how some of the people behind movie designs come up with this stuff, it’s like they try to be as far as the comic imagery as possible, i get that the movies have their own look but come on he’s just really ugly lol. i hope he kinds of “evolve” trough the film and that what was shown isn’t his final appearance.

Then why would there be all this stuff about Geoff Keighley having his MGSV good luck charm, or making a big deal about Hideo being there? Plus Kiefer, Donna, and Stefanie are all there. The composer is there, too, but that is likely because it’s up for best soundtrack. Either way, I think something’s up. Latest I give it is March, when the special soundtrack CD with missing tracks is added, because it could easily contain Chapter 3’s music too.
Last year at some convention at Las Vegas Kiefer introduced Kojima and MGS and if i remember correctly there was no new information about the game coming from that convention at the time, i think it’s just the awards stuff and maybe a bit of Trolljima as usual.
There was, they showed MGO3 and had the world premiere of gameplay. Strikes me as funny that Kiefer would be there if there is nothing new. That being said, he was pretty dedicated to the MGSV project. Then Donna and Stefanie are there, but apparently they had planned to go anyway. I don’t know, but as it stands SOMETHING is going down.

If that’s all true, I’m very angry with those who organized the show because they exploited the hype to get more viewers from all around the world, when they must have known it already for an amount of time sufficient to warn the public of Hideo’s absence. They could have still done that tribute, and they would have avoided that giant wave of collective hatred that rose in real time. If you add that shitty talking about voice actors by jade raymond, then you got a nice picture of the total nonsense happening around V and Kojima-san. We will always be with you Boss!
