Here is when Kojima will be holding his DICE Summit talk this Thursday
This Thursday, Kojima will be at DICE for a conversation with Guillermo del Toro, moderated by Geoff Keighley. The schedule on the official website tells us the exact time this will happen: 1:45 PM – 2:30 PM PST (or 22:45 CET) on Thursday February 18th. The good news is that the event will be live streamed on the official AIAS Youtube channel.
“These master storytellers will offer insight into their creative vision and the driving forces behind their artistic pursuits. Moderated by longtime video game host and producer Geoff Keighley, this conversation will revisit some of their fondest memories from their own individual careers as well as some of the pivotal moments from each other’s work that remain a constant source of inspiration.”
The 19th annual DICE Awards will be on the same day, on 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM. Kojima will be presented a Hall of Fame Award by del Toro.
Kojima is currently already in the US along with some other members of the new studio. Earlier today he met with actor Norman Reedus.
Today, Norman Reedus has been sharing the new Kojima Productions logo on his social media channels, such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Yeah, I understand how the robot walks. I never realized his changes. The horn I just watched it today. The fire and the red thing in the shoulder I though it was there ever.
And the mask change is the other thing I wasn’t aware of.

Also interesting thing to note: right at the beginning of the game you hear a vehicle crash, I assumed it was the helicopter at the end of GZ, but it’s not; we hear the sound of a plane crash followed by the sound Mantis makes whenever he uses his powers. In the hospital there is a news report on the radio describing a plane crash caused by an unknown fire source inside the plane – 94 civilians died in the plane crash, and it happened the same time Venom woke up. As someone here pointed out the probable reasons for this is due to Venom’s awakening, Volgin’s lust for revenge even through death was strong enough for Mantis to latch onto his negative emotions and reanimate him as a demon. But my question is, if BB woke up before Venom, why didn’t he go after BB who was the actual person who “wronged” him? Or why didn’t Mantis going after BB even before the events of TPP or even GZ? Maybe Mantis’ powers weren’t as strong until the events of TPP?
Nevertheless, I really like Mantis in this game, it is very rare for a game to have a leaning curve to watching the cutscenes as Mantis’ actions make no sense until you understand how he works. Hope Kojima utilises visual storytelling in more of his games, movies and whatever he plans to do next.
Mantis has nothing against BB or Venom, his powers kick in during the flight to Leningrade institute, the same flight where the corpse of Volgin is also present, when flying nearby the hospital Mantis starts feeling Volgin anger which makes him awake. Volgin/Mantis can’t see the difference between BB and Venom because of the hypnotherapy thing they subjected Venom to.
