  • For those who hadn’t noticed yet: there’s a new poll.

    • Mr.Pony

I’d like to see a new MGS even without Kojima. To me the cannon starts and ends with Kojima, everything after that would feel like the spinoffs, plus there’s also the chance of the next MGS be really, really bad and we get to see Konami going up in flames with criticism

      • Leguywhodrownedquiet

        Mgs shouldn’t have a multiverse
        This isn’t marvel or dc

        • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Lol, Otacon travels to alternate dimensions to convince the different Solid Snake’s to aid him in developing a way to save the multiverse from a 5th dimensional Zero who can manipulate space time at will – A Konami Game. Calling it now…

          • Mr.Pony

Samuel L. Jackson appears and goes “I’M SICK OF THESE MOTHERFUCKIN SNAKES IN THIS MOTHERFUCKIN GAME” and goes back to the Avengers

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

            HIT THE LEVER!

Metal Gear Pachinko after credits mini game starts.

          • Mr.Pony

There you go Konami, you can take these ideas for free and not even have to put our names on the box art

          • Full Options

They should have left Hideo’s on V… I mean, so ridiculous… Not on the box, but everywhere in the rom… Like some are in charge of “just” the box, and others in charge of the game…
I LMFAO when I saw each mission credits. xD
It is like they could not dare asking Koji-Pro to take out Hideo’s name from the rom… Just like they found nobody to receive his awards… Too shameful… Like the last samurai ending… Nobody but the Emperor can accept his sword…

          • Mr.Pony

“You might be able to erase the markings, but the memories will never disappear…”

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

            Holy fuck you are awesome

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

You were right about how civil war respects people’s deaths unlike BvS and Whedon’s avengers

        • BurntFM

But it already has that with the AC!D games. And definitely does a different continuity with Ghost Babel.

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

            Hmmm

      • Biggy

Metal Gear Solid V Acid Huey’s Revenge

      • Mini gear

Yea I’m up for one too, As long as it has good standerds

    • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

The current results of it are very interesting…

    • For me it’s simple.
I want to see new Metal Gear game but I’m not convinced that Konami can do it justice, because Konami’s efforts for the famous projects so far was bad compared to Kojima Productions which had top tier devs.

I’m sure that most of the Top Tier KonamiKojiPro staff is with Kojima right now. Maybe in the future we will see who is partnered with Hideo from the past.

      • Leguywhodrownedquiet

        “Top Tier”
I feel sorry for the other staff 🙁

        • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Exactly – that is the problem with public perceptions when an auteur is at the helm of a project.
Kojima conceptualise and put together the image the jigsaw makes up, but people often forget about the ordinary men and women who actually create all of the pieces.

I feel the most sorry for the people at KojiPro who lost their jobs or were suddenly absorbed into a hostile entity, over a petty personal grievance held by the company execs against Kojima.

As some said before, most could not follow him that easily, and god thanks to the rest of the dev-world, marketing that officially his talent. Guess who ? Very first video games (and best ones) pioneers. 😀

    • BurntFM

It’s somewhat of an easy choice for me. If they bring back David Hayter they have my attention. I just love the MG universe so much to bitterly refuse a new entry. As far as it being an authentic MG game. I know it will never be that.

      • Leguywhodrownedquiet

        David Hayter?
        Dafuq

    • Will

      No Kojima, no love.

    • moto hellogoto

I’d be interested in a reboot or spinoff only. The old story needs to die; it’s become too convoluted. Give me a new take on snake and the series altogether and I’d be interested.

    • Mini gear

I should get back into metal gear online and the base game, I’ve been gone awhile

    • Plissken

Definitely a MG1 or MG2 remake. It’d take some very dedicated and passionate people who know and love the franchise though

  • Matrixcity

Yeah. I say give Konami the chance to either bomb or surprise us, because either way I think I’ll enjoy both.

So you guys remember this scene in the 2013 trailer:

So I just recently saw some videos that pretty much confirm that the Camps Omega scene shown in the 2013 trailer wasn’t actually cut content, it was a place holder scene created specifically for the trailer to avoid spoilers (or the scene was just repurposed until something else):

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?list=WL&params=OAFIAVi6AQ%253D%253D&v=JJYE-I1BrlA&mode=NORMAL

The water boarding animation are exactly the same. Here’s the execution scene:

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?list=WL&params=OAFIAVi5AQ%253D%253D&v=rSweTCD2PmY&mode=NORMAL

    • Leguywhodrownedquiet

      Hmmmmm
I’m pretty sure I saw similar scenes on yt

      • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Do the link I posted even work? They look broken?

        • Mr.Pony

It is, cant watch directly, had to copy to url bar. So when they said that players would be able to go back to camp omega they were talking about multiplayer? What a load of crap

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

“Never been done before in games”
            – Hideo Kojima…

I don’t think he was reversing to the multiplayer map. The more I think about it, I kinda now think whatever he was talking about with GZ was cut and he quite cleverly repurposed that scene for something else in th story that made sense. Most devs would just cut the entire thing and leave it at that, not just port the majority of the scene to something else.

          • Mr.Pony

There was someone in KojiPro or Konami that wrote on a tweet “Players will be able to go back to camp Omega”, when questioned later about it he responded “Did i say that?” if i recall correctly.

To be honest i think i would prefer it was not shown at all, just like the battle tank thing, all those cut-scenes teasing it and in the end it does nothing but 5 dispatch missions and sitting in the hanger. Sure Kojima explained why that was but still, maybe they could have turned it into a DD vehicle like a normal tank to deploy in the field.

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Saying something as colossal as you are planning to do something that has never been done before in games, then forget about it – it seems weird, maybe he didn’t understand what the user was referring to?

          • Mr.Pony

Oh he did understand alright, the thing was that they were teasing for the multiplayer by inducing players in error by making fans believe that it was related to the single-player, then the backlash came and no one suffered from amnesia suddenly.

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

I really can’t think of any thematic reason for fooling fan’s like that – It just seems like a shitty thing for Kojima to do either way from where I see it.

Maybe he kinda wanted us to take marketing with a grain of salt – so take things with a grain of salt I will Mr Kojima. The next footage I seems for his new game I will not instantly praise as “GOTY material ” like I did after seeing the Elegia trailer, I will only be super anticipated to play his next game to judge for myself whether it in good or not, but I will try and not get caught up with the hype and instantly praises the final game as the greatest thing since slice bread, until I get my hands on it.

It’s a shame I have to be apprehensive of all game trailers now…

          • Mr.Pony

I think that the marketing campaign continued on course on what game was suppose to be, but then Konami happened making Kojima to steer the game into another direction

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Maybe so. Maybe he really wanted us to believe that Venom is BB so he skewed marketing to that – maybe both. I still won’t try and have definitive opinions on games based primarily on marketing material. I got my fingers burned with MGSV and honestly it was my fault rather than Kojima’s – I should’ve known better, especially when Konami started erasing his name from his life’s work back in like May last year.

          • Mr.Pony

And I wouldn’t be surprised if the next MGS was a continuation to Venom’s story, where the first half of the story was really good. The end of TPP still feels to me like someone went to the script and ripped a page in half and ran away with the rest.

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

I hope to God they just leave it alone – a Konami MGS rooted in Kojima’s lore would be absolutely terrible. Konami’s track record of ruining IP’s after attempting to continue where the creators left off is evidence of this.

          • Full Options

Let’s check what will happen with MG… We will yet have major new bell rings at their next “solo-mode” statement (if any).

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

True – I don’t even think they are at the conceptualisation stage – aren’t they still looking for developers? Yeah, we won’t see it for a while. It would be funny in a weird way if it releases in the same year as Kojima’s next game.

          • Full Options

Will yet check E3 to see if they are still full of PES+MGO or if they have at least a little sentence about VI.

          • Mr.Pony

PES has been tacking a back-seat to FIFA and if I recall didn’t they said they were not releasing a new PES in 2016? a MGS VI has to be at least one year from preview and another til we get it, they to shorten the development cycle, but i don’t see how they can, unless it is not a AAA game

          • Full Options

Yeah, I expect nothing at all neither but hopefully little community manager crispy sentences / hints here and there about possible VI planning…

          • Full Options

You mean a game split in 2 parts without the approbation of the creator, or something ?

          • Mr.Pony

Something like, Kojima goes “Hey Konami, i need another year to turn the whole script into the game”, Konami goes “Nope, wrap it up enough to make sense” and now they just have part of the script lying around and they want to make another buck out of it, so they’ll just add stuff to what was left by Kojima and hope that it still sounds and looks like a Kojima game.

          • Full Options

This is exactly what I feared. We can not be sure it happened entirely like that, but putting together Merceron’s declarations and how penalizing for TPP could be a that literal war against Koji-Pro during the production, I can’t not believe a sec that TPP was released unscathed.

          • Mr.Pony

Its one of the reasonable theories I see around. Kojima does cliffhangers very well, from MGS2 to MGS4, if the saga ended with those games it would be ok, but in TPP there is no cliffhanger its just a forced stop or a lazy attempt to close the loop, which i don’t believe, once again taking Kojima’s track- record on the subject

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

If that really is the case, and they have the rest of Kojima’s script lying around – and they just have to actualize it; I would buy it in a heart beat – it will made me even more angry at Konami, and the more “politically correct” thing to do would be not to buy that additional content and support Konami. But I would support Konami that one last time – because I love MGS that much.

          • Mr.Pony

That would depend on how much of Kojima is in that story, plus the gameplay had to be either very similar to TPP or better than it, which is not an easy task to innovate upon.

          • BurntFM

I if I remember correctly, I think it was ken Imaizumi who said that. He’s one of the few if not the only KojiPro high rank producers who actually answer tweets.

          • Full Options

He also sensed / said somewhere that all this may cost him is head at Konami, if I remember well.

          • Venom_Sina

“Never been done before in games”

I think this refers to TPP’s ending (or maybe the nuclear FOB thing). You don’t see games do these things. Also it’s near impossible to do it in another media like movies or books. You know,it’s not impossible, but in a movie you don’t get to build a private army, and then someone sends you a cassette tape including “truth and your true identity”.You can’t really “do” it in a movie or a book..I think by saying “Never been done before in games” or “only possible in video games media”,he meant the ending.

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Nah he was defo referring to GZ (I finally found the article, so happy):

“People who own GZ will be able to play a different mission(s) at Camp Omega in TPP. That’s the current plan. There’s something of a big feature involved. It’s never been done in the games industry before. “So I can’t go into detail about it, but I think when you experience it for yourselves you’ll be surprised. It’s something that’s only possible through video games.”

            http://www.metalgearinformer.com/?p=16518

I thought this was a mistranslation at first, but it was translated by JunkerHQ, and its never been off before.

The thing that bothers me is that he said “that is the current plan”, meaning his isn’t sure if it will make it into the game. It’s a shame it got cut, but if there was anything less than 100% chance of it being in the game he shouldn’t have said it. A couple of missions cam easily be cut, but whole game mechanics are more difficult – this is why most devs market their games around mechanics without going into to much detail about specific types of missions and features in the game, the backlash if/when they got cut would be huge as we’ve seen with MGSV.

          • Full Options

Correct. I am speculating, but the disarmament may have unlocked a lot more than a simple cut-scene in Hideo’s initial planning.

And where is our Fox-Die like experience, making the interface unstable, like in GZ or MGS2 ?? This would have imply a bunch of levels too, right ? I mean what’s the point in teasing us that hard with Fox-Die in GZ if there is no single trace of it or some kind of evolved/’84 version of the virus in TPP ??

          • Full Options

Exact, my feeling too. The stage was probably planned in solo campaign since we were heavily trained on it and waiting it like the messiah. The crisis may have imply to cut a lot of things. For MGO, there was for sure heavy efforts done on camp omega, but so insignificant if compared to a solo level design / fine-tuning.
Yes, all was so ready for it, we just have to remember for example the exchanges features between TPP and GZ… All these features for only few items ?? No level ?? Nah, I can’t believe this, it just remember me certain Konamish MGO-DLCs behavior if you see what I mean.

    • Jav

Very good. That is my favourite mission.

    • Lamp123

Yeah, the cutscene in the trailer where the African soldier is training the child soldiers is also in-game. The mission 13 (Pitch Dark). You go to the village and you will see child soldiers learning how to shoot a gun from the African soldier. Same animations as well.

  • ADAMJENSEN13

Im not surprised that Call of duty is first and Im really happy that Phantom Pain is in top20 of the best selling games in 2015.

I finally had a chance to play first Metal Gear Solid! I have a PS2 now so I can play MGS2 and 3 so cant wait to check them out.

I will write a little review. If You have some advices or You think Im wrong Im really looking forward to talk with You about those things.

So from the begining. I really like the music that appeard with Konami logo before menu. Its really cool.
Menu is great! Cool sounds and its simple to go through.
Intro is nice but MGSV intro is much much better.
First time when we can have fun with stealth its really amazing! I was concentrate every time stealth moment appears. So its really great, cool and awesome. But one problem. Why there are so few places with stealth gameplay?! I think there are 8 or 9 places with soldiers where You hide. I was really disappointed.
There are many moments with action which kinda surprised Me.
Bosses. First was tank. I dont like it. Next was battle with Gray Fox which was Awesome! next Psycho Mantis. Idea was fantastic! To change controller plugs.
First and second battle with Sniper wolf was not the coolest thing. You just lie in one position and shoot her while she runs. Hind D battle is Awesome! One of the best in the game!Battle with Raven is nice. C4 and Nikita. Cool idea.
Metal Gear battle is nice but when You forget to get chaff grenade at time those rockets attack You and its really annoying. And finally Battle with Liquid Snake on Metal Gear head. Its cool, great, tactic and fantastic!
Music. All songs are Great! The best is yet to come is really great! and all music we hear during gameplay are awesome too.
Voice actors. David Hayter did a really really great job but I dont know why He sounded better through talks by codec than cutscenes. Dont know why. And when He was really angry He sound kinda unnatural.
Campbell, Ocelot and Liquid were great too. Nastasha was probably the worst.
Story. To battle with Vulcano Raven it was kinda like a lesson about nuclear warheads. But after killing Him story was great. Fox Die and other things.
    Directing was nice.
Bosses story was kinda meh. You met them just once in the game so who cares they die. I dont get it. Music was sad but hey, I dont know these guys so why should I care. And Meryl too. I kinda dont care about Her story.
I really like the conversations through the codec with Mei Ling, Otacon, Master and Meryl. Solid and Liquid was the best charactes for sure. I like that Solid was very human. He said jokes and has flirting with every cute woman in the game.

Okay. Thats okay for now. I will write more if You want to hear more.
I think that project was kinda too ambitious. It was too short for its all stealth and bosses story.

And then the legendary question :
Is that a list from worst to best ??

  • Venom_Sina

American gamers do love shooter games. But honestly,I expected more sales from TPP.Don’t get me wrong,it’s not bad,but since TPP is the most playable game in the series which was released physically on 4 platforms…you know what I mean.

    • Full Options

Seeing all those sports games or Battlefront (which is, I’d say, an extreeeme peace of sh.t), yeah, the chart is obviously very mainstream, plus multi-genre. TPP is at least in the top-5 of its genre. The trends in this chart are still interesting for one that would like to evaluate casual gamers tastes regarding concepts.

      • Leguywhodrownedquiet

Cod being on the list isn’t what saddens me most
What saddens me is that 4 year old kids are the reason Cock of doody is on this list

        • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Sad thing is I bought Black Ops 3, I enjoyed the singleplayer a lot more than I thought I would… It’s the first COD I bought since Black Ops 1 – old habits die hard.

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

I actually liked the corvus thing while many said it was written by a teen
I guess I like edgy teens’ writing
Oh and btw BvS is +15 in my country while Civil war is pg but the 15 rating didn’t stop oarents from taking their kids lulz

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

I thought the Corvus thing was cool – it did feel like it was written by an edgy teen, maybe I liked it so much because I am an teen? I try not to have have “edgy” opinions for the sake of being edgy, but maybe that is actually the case more than I would like to admit. Hmm…

I’m thinking too much about myself – time to play Skyrim…

Also: BvS was a 12A here in UK, so kids under the age of 12 can easily go see Batman throw Superman around like a wet sack of potatoes.

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

That doesn’t matter if you’re a teen or not 😉
And most people who watched it were like 13,14

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

Wait are you really a teen?

    • Yeah, this doesn’t include the digital sales which are way more prominent now than around MGS4’s time.

      • Full Options

Just wondering.. Are they still look way more prominent even if we consider dividing roughly by platform number ? PS3’s exclusivity was also a large handicap for MGS4..

        • That is true, and it’s hard to compare the sales for the two games because of those factors. We know digital has been on the rise for the last few years, and especially on PC a lot of people buy digital. MGSV probably sold between 6 and 7 million copies all things included. Hopefully Konami releases full figures next week in their financial report.

          • Full Options

Thanks for the info ;), very interesting, will also keep an eye on their report.

Yeah, hard to tell, besides and even if MGS4 was decently anticipated, it was still quite less than TPP, because there was a lot more fans, either discovering the series with MGS4, PW or GZ.. But GZ helped to gather the attention of a bunch of HC gamers, thanks to the gameplay.
I remember a lot less hype around MGS4 release.
Everything was calm, people were not noticing my highly addicted/psycho-pathological gaze when I got my copy. 😀
But the worst was when I grabbed TPP’s, the vendor will never know how close to death he was, in case he refused to sell me the holy grail.

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

Well the guys who are against konami are team liquid and I’m part of it
            Unless we’re talkinga bout philanthropy

        • It’s really simple why MGS4 sold so well on the PS3. In fact it was the biggest PS3 exclusive in terms of sales until Gran Turismo 5 came in 2010. Uncharted and other exclusive games could not outsell it.

MGS4 was promoted as much as possible because PS3 at that time had no good games. Majority of the people thought that PS3 was an expensive but powerfull blu-ray player with no games on it. When MGS4 came out PS3 had 600% of sales increase in Japan for example. It was a Real system seller for it’s time. It was presented as a last game in the franchise. The end for Snake and the saga. Pr was incredible for it.

MGSV on the other hand had issues. Even though it will achieve 10 million sales in the lifetime thanks for a lot of platforms and digital sales, it was announced too early. Ground Zeroes received mixed reactions from average magazines because of it’s short length. PR for the game was very limited due to Konami’s budget.
Most of the PR came from Kojima’s fantastic trailers, from Kojima himself / interviews and some major game shows like TGS/Gamescom/E3 and mostly that’s it.

          • Full Options

Yes, you are absolutely right. The reason why there was not a lot of game on PS3 is mainly due to the nature of the CellBE. Studios were struggling to properly use SPUs from scratch. But things became far easier around the 1.80-2.0 FW update because the SDK had better libs to make the use of SPUs easier for devs. During the first 2 years, most studios were only using the Cell’s PPU (a quite weak PowerPC, only supposed to manage jobs across SPUs) and simply ignoring SPUs, so they used the console horse-power at only 15-20 % of its capacity. 😀
I also heavily suspect that the MGS4 nearly 2 years extra delay was also due to those CellBE architecture issues, and other possible difficulty to load-balance processing between the Cell and the RSX..

Magazines evaluated GZ as a regular other title, almost deliberately ignoring it was just a kind of demo, just to make a BS buzz.

And yeah, we all witnessed at the very end that Hideo was setting those trailers almost in his garage, or from a Konami cell, himself. ;D

          • Ye, you are right. MGS4 was also the reason why Kojima wanted a new multiplatform engine with Western like tools for his next game.
MGS4 was pain the ass when it comes to game development. All your issues + the game had it’s proprietary tools which were inefficient because if you want to update your game with better gameplay, features, you need first to use programmers and only then you can add things. If something is broken, you can’t fix it ASAP, you need additional programming. That’s what Kojima said in the interview to IGN with MGSV promotion. Without Western tools thing they would never finish the size and scope of The Phantom Pain.

With Fox Engine, like Unreal Engine and other Western Popular tools you can develop games and see what is happening in front of the developer. Kojima could add things himself even without programmers or tell them to add things ASAP.

Currently, I’m playing with Unreal Engine 4 tool kit and I can make games without a single line of code which is AMAZING and I’m a stupid noob when it comes to game dev. These tools in the hands or of a real developers can do anything really.

MGS4 was also the last era when Japanese game developers dominated everything in gaming. After that, almost every Japanese studio fails, mobile gaming destroys studios in Japan and other bad stuff.
MGS4 was lucky to have Kojima and good programmers, after that Kojima knew that he requires a help from other folks and that’s where Jordan Amaro (Crytek) comes in or Merceron (Ubisoft, Square).

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Unreal 4 is an amazing engine – their “Blueprint” IDE really streamlines things without restricting possibilities. I just think too far ahead when creating (game dev in particular), and eventually get discouraged by the entire thing as I become overwhelmed by all the things I know I have to do next, instead of just focusing on what I’m working on at the current moment.

Game dev is hard: as much as I give MGSV and Kojima a hard time, I still think MGSV is a masterpiece – Konami threw a softball at Kojima’s house of cards, and it takes a very talented person to create something as good as MGSV in those circumstances. I just wish the marketing for the game was a little bit different so I wouldn’t get as butt-hurt when the game turned out differently than I expected. Again, it’s my fault but still…

          • Full Options

It is always good to think far ahead. If you get discouraged, it is totally normal, but keep in mind that seeing your actual progress becoming truly robust can be really encouraging too. You need to split clearly your various jobs.Seeing them accomplished one by one will give you more and more fuel.

          • Full Options

You are right, right, right ! 😀

It is not always easy to take very drastic decisions specially after developing so many titles for the same franchise.

Besides, MGS4 was PS3 exclusive so they just had to focus / tailor the game around only one GPU shading model, without any need to mess around with other GPU families, brands.
What’s cool with AAA hardware is that everybody has 1:1 the same GPU. If you are targeting PC’s all becomes a real nightmare. Yeah, it was not simple at all to setup Fox this way, they may have used far more abstract code layers than for MGS4.

“These tools in the hands of a real developers can do anything really”
            Interesting question.
There are some paradoxes to be aware of though. You indeed develop much faster but caveats can appear if the engine does not do what you want out-of-box. Even the programmer may not master the code enough to hack & fix things quickly in that pharaonic quantity of pages, because everybody has a different coding style.

That’s the major drawback of using an engine you did not wrote yourself. R&D can be painful / dangerous in terms of schedule if you do not master the code you are using. If all your elements are yet satisfying and ready to be integrated together, then everything is fine about using engines and possible other middleware.
But if you try / investigate in creating say a new gameplay concept, it can be, but it is not always the best option.

UE4 is not my current main engine, but I often give a hand to a friend’s indy studio at lower levels / bindings.
As you mentioned, I have to say that since UE4, you can reach convincing prototypes much faster than with UE3. UE3 was not that bad at all, but a bit misleading when you wanted to tap in more core engine elements.

Now, everything is just between editor’s Kismet and raw C++ which make things a lot more clear than having to mess around with which parts are adressed in UE3’s emacs like *.uc syntax for example.

            I would love to test Fox… :3
            :DD

      • ADAMJENSEN13

Hey, I have a question off the topic. About MGS1.
You probably beated all MGS(I saw Your collection here on MGinformer) so You are hardcore player and Im rookie. I finished MGSV and just finished MGS1.
There is that moment with 4 guys in the elevator wearing optical suit.
I tried to knock them out but no matter how long I fight with them they are always getting up. I shoot them with Famas and game continued.

Is there a way to not killing them? I would like to beat the game without killing. The same goes after scene “Youre holding Your gun like a rookie”. There are three guys You have to kill before Meryl start shooting. Is there a way to knock them out?

        • Full Options

Nice “no kill” attitude comrade, unfortunately I think those 4 kills are mandatory (along with something like 15 other ones in the whole game).

          • ADAMJENSEN13

Thanks! Yeah, when Im playing a stealth game Im trying to beat it without alarms and no kill. But if You say it have to be like that then ok. I had 21 kills and I was like- What?! Where I killed 21 guys?! Hahaha! But those kills have to be in the score. But why 21? Hmm… I never killed anyone when there was a stealth parts so why 21?

          • Full Options

My pleasure ! I guess 19 kills is the minimum possible. As for alerts, I think at least 3 are inevitable. Happy MGS !

          • ADAMJENSEN13

Oh! So there must be kills after all. I see. I had 4 alerts. If 3 alarams are have to be then 4 are nice score I think.
            Thanks man!

          • Full Options

            😉
If you did not spot it yet, I think you can save an alert when escaping from the cell.

          • ADAMJENSEN13

You mean after the trick with ketchup? Yeah. That soldier saw me. So there is trick to beat him without alarm? Great! I will have to check it out by myself.
Or You mean after Meryl free You?

          • Full Options

Ketchup… All this will cost you one more kill. 😉

          • ADAMJENSEN13

Hahaha! Really?! Thanks for info 🙂

        • It’s possible you have to kill those guys, not completely sure though.

          • ADAMJENSEN13

Oh, I see. Thanks for reply. Maybe I will try to fight with them a little longer. If nothing will happen I will just kill them.

          • ADAMJENSEN13

You beated MGS1 on all difficulties? I have plans to do that. What score You had? I had Deer. Is it good?

    • Lamp123

“With that in mind,MGS4 was a huge success (compared to TPP’s sales).4 sold around 6.02 million units through its life cycle”

Those sales numbers for MGS4 were counted from 2008 to 2014. 6 years ….

TPP shipped 6 million copies (not including digital sales) from September to December 2015 (only 3-4 months …). Going by your statement we should count the number of units sold for TPP from 2015 to 2021 for a more better comparison to MGS4 sales.

      • Venom_Sina

Yeah, you’re right.MGS4’s sales was good even in 2009-2010 (sold around 1 million copies, only physical). With TPP in the 20th place,it’s hard to tell that TPP can sell better than 4.I mean,it will sell more than MGS4,but I think the difference won’t be as big as we expected.

        • Lamp123

Not sure what you mean …
TPP actually did sell pretty well compared to past MGS games (not talking about other games that came out in 2015).
They shipped 6 million copies by end of 2015. I’m aware that shipped is not equal to sold copies but this is after 3 – 4 months when the game is released …

MGS4 sold around 4.5 million copies from 2008 – 2010. By 2014 it went up to 6 million copies. Which is great.

Yeah the difference won’t be that too large. Maybe 2 – 3 million copies.

EDIT: Oh I think you mean how MGS4 was PS3 exclusive and sold pretty well. While TPP was multi platform and you expected it to sell WAY MORE because it was on more than one platform. But we should wait till end of this year to see how much TPP sells because the game is only 9 months old since release.

Well for me, as a MGS game it sold really well and as a multiplatform game it could of sold a bit more lol.

  • Leguywhodrownedquiet

What’s pretty sad is that battlefront sucked? Is there someone here who liked it?

    • RJRO

I played it from time to time, is not even close to battlefront 2, but it does entertains me.

      • Leguywhodrownedquiet

I just consider as eye candy with bullshit gameplay and microtransactions

        • RJRO

Gameplay it´s meh for me. I´m really against any type of microtransantions.
Right now what i want to know is the time period of the next Battlefield.

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

            BF 1944

          • RJRO

Oh i hope so. WW2 it´s just perfect, no drones, guied missiles, and lock on target weapons.

  • Gatsu

I knew shooters like CoD would be on the top spot, it’s pretty sad imo instead of gamers buying actual amazing games. I know everyone got their own taste in games, but I just cannot understand why some keep buying those over and over again. I’m glad that there’s some of my favorite games in the top 20 though ^_^.

I say no to the poll. I would’ve been interested if Konami wouldn’t have done all that BS stuff to Kojima, but they don’t deserve to do another MG after all that crap. Even if they would do a remake of MG1 and 2, I’m not sure really. The way they disrespected my favorite creator was too much, so I think they won’t get any respect from me.

May the 4th be with me :D. Funny that my birthday is on the Star Wars day lol, I didn’t realize it first.

        Update:It’s 94 now:

        • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

That’s more like it – I’m trying to read as little as possible, but from the few, surprisingly critical reviews I’ve read my anticipation to play it has still managed to increase – can’t wait to see if the game is as good as those people say.

          • Gatsu

I’ve kept myself pretty dark of the game, one reason is maybe not being an ultra-fan of Uncharted, so I don’t check every info like I did with MGSV. But I’m really looking forward to buying it when release.

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Sad thing is I have a huge exam in about 2 weeks – since U4 is a about 15 hours from what I hear, I think I’ll have to wait until after my exam (May 19th) before playing it 🙁

          • Full Options

Good luck for your exam, bro.

            … And as usual… well… you know…

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

The wait will be painful – I’ll probably play the first 2-3 hours then give it up until the exam is over; my thirst would of been quenched and I’ll be able to push it out of my mind that way.

          • Full Options

If I were you, I would probably come up with a similar strategy… 😀
Right, you slightly “prologz” it to rest a bit between exam preparation and polish it to hell right after the exam, mind free and peaceful.
Playing it too much with the stress of the exam may also impair your playthrough experience. Your entertainment / pleasure won’t be at 100%.

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Yeah, I don’t even think I could binge it the week before my exam – I would be too busy panicking about how I’m not revising and going to fail my exam because I’d rather play a video game that I could easily play after it, and then I wouldn’t enjoy the actual game, and then what’s the point? I’ll just prologue it then put it down.

Hey, off the topic question to everyone.

Which MGS You prefer? MGS1 or MGSV?

I prefer MGSV. The only thing I think was better in MGS1 was codec talks. In MGSV Ocelot only talked about gameplay things.

  • MichaelPayneV

I have a theory question: Could Gray Fox be Venom Snake aka The Medic?

Give me your thoughts on why he could, or couldn’t!

    • Why would he be? And in later games, he doesn’t look like Big Boss.

      • MichaelPayneV

        for the start, he looks!

        http://static.giantbomb.com/uploads/original/23/239260/2782566-9846987367-GrayF.png

He has the damaged “not missing white eye, and some of his scars!

        http://i.imgur.com/JGVvJYp.jpg

        • Their faces aren’t really similar though. Frank’s face has thinner features than Big Boss’s:

          http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/metalgear/images/1/18/Frank_Jaeger_(MGS4).PNG/revision/latest?cb=20130720043635

          https://v.dreamwidth.org/980029/1101643

          • MichaelPayneV

I wasn’t talking about Frank, i know Frank and Venom are 2 different people, what i’m saying is that in MGS1, the Cyborg is not Frank, but Venom, wanting to remember once again who he is, and David is his bridge to that, he feels connected to him, and then he gets killed by Eli, 1 last showdown!

Gray…The Cyborg also talks and thinks like Venom, also full of anger, like Venom!

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

But why would the game specify that Venom died in 1995? If he actually died in MGS1?

          • MichaelPayneV

Because he is a Phantom, Venom died in 1995, and then way later Gray Fox was born!

      • MichaelPayneV

1 theory, is that after Solid killed him in MG1, he was brought back to life with Parasite Therapy, and later turned in to Cyborg.

Venom’s Robotic arm could be foreshadowing for what he would later become

        • But why does he look and sound completely different? And Gray Fox already has a backstory that isn’t Venom’s.

    • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Because Kojima tells us that he Venom Snake is the medic, and the medic alone, and he is killed by Solid Snake in 1995.

Kojima invents the canon, I can’t dissuade it – he said it here:

      https://i.ytimg.com/vi/xXV0dX6xUGg/maxresdefault.jpg

Venom becoming Gray Fox is a huge element – and if the “theory” had any merit it would definitely be hinted here of all places.

You could argue that since YOU are Venom, he could be whoever you want – in my headcanon/game Venom Snake is Samuel L Jackson, so he could be Gray Fox if you create your avatar like that if you want.

  • MrVux007

For all of you tech junkies and those who are concerned about performance on Uncharted 4,fear not…i got just the medicine ! 🙂 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVHA15ploVQ

To all of you who are playing the game in 5 days have fun….and please, kill few baddies for me will ya?

    Until next time!

  • MichaelPayneV

I also think that Quiet and Sniper Wolf are one and the same:

-They were both rescued in by…”Big Boss”
-Tretij Rebenok aka Psycho Mantis has the power to cure the Language Parasite, so him and Liquid found her dying alone, so they cured her, and made her join them
-Sniper Wolf born in 1985 could be her meaning that she was “Reborn” as Sniper Wolf!

    http://orig05.deviantart.net/6d2c/f/2008/204/f/5/mteal_gear_solid_foxhound_by_attr4ct1on_mort3ll3.jpg

-Sniper Wolf has her body heavily exposed in the Chest/Breast are, close to the lungs
-She has a sassy attitude, like when she was about to assassinate Venom (Thinking he is Big Boss
-Her “Past” could be made up, wanting to stair away as for as possible from her XOF days!
-1 of “Parasite Therapy” ‘s side effects could be not aging a day, making her look as young in MGS1 and in V!

    • Yeah, but those are a lot of assumptions you have to make before it even becomes a possibility, and even then, why does Sniper Wolf have a different voice and an accent. It wouldn’t make much sense for them to be the same person. Besides, Kojima Productions already said in a Kojima Station episode that they weren’t the same person because they are from different eras.

  • MichaelPayneV

Also, looks like Sniper Wolf’s Sniper is “The Sinful Butterfly” the Sniper Quiet leaves with!

  • MichaelPayneV

And 1 last thing, she wants to kill Solid because he killed the only person she ever loved “The Medic – Venom Snake” in MG1

    • MichaelPayneV

      Making it personal!

  • Persona 5 looks great.

    • Lamp123

I’m actually more excited for Persona 5 than FFXV. I think Persona 5 will be a dark horse for best JRPG of 2016.
Love the super stylish and unique artistic presentation of the game so far.
The jazz soundtrack is great too. Also a story that tackles issues about modern society (like past persona games).

Hopefully the release date for the West will be shown at E3 2016.

  • ADAMJENSEN13

Hey guys, its only month till E3. You think there is a chance we will see something related to Metal Gear?

    What do You think?

      • Mr.Pony
        • Mr. Sir Shpee

I’d love it if they could just port the Legacy Collection to PC so I can actually play the series instead of watching it on YouTube. smh

      • ADAMJENSEN13

I see You have some hopes. Are You interested in next Metal Gear without Kojima? I think I would check it out.
That will be still only stealth game Im interested in so I will probably buy it anyway. But if Hideo Kojima next game will be stealth game there would be probably no need for buying MGS from Konami.

        • It will at least be interesting to see what they come up with for the series. We should probably give them a chance.

          • ADAMJENSEN13

I think so too. Lets give them a chance and maybe we will be surprised with very cool game. Who knows. We have to wait.

    • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

      Nope.

      • ADAMJENSEN13

Hahahaha! Honest and strict comment! 🙂

        • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Oh, I’m sorry if my comment came across asshole-ish, that wasn’t my intention. I have a very blunt, dry sense of humor that doesn’t really translate well through text. I just felt that one word summed up my entire sentiment on the subject matter.

    • Eugene Voldo

Maybe we’ll hear something related to MGS HD Collection for PS4 and Xbox One. I think it’s a great opportunity for Konami to gain a good will.

      • ADAMJENSEN13

That can be possible. Put all MGS in one collection with MGSV now on PS4 and XBOXone could be a trick Konami is workin on.

    • Full Options

Seeing how MGO was finally impacted by the crisis, I would be them, I would communicate as fast as possible on MG, but as JJ stated, they are stupid enough to give us a “nope”, chances are high to just sell us a different color for an assault rifle we’ll never use.. 🙁

      • ADAMJENSEN13

Youre right. Thats how developer works. Selling DLC for big money or giving us things we dont wants.
After playing MGSV and now MGS1 Im sad that Kojima will never make new MGS but Im kinda curious how Konami will continue this series.
We know already that Konami is working on new Metal Gear. Its just matter of time we will see news about it and gameplays. Just hope they will not screw it up too much and it will be playable game.

        • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Based on Konami’s track record or continuing franchises on after the initial creators left being – well; terrible. The future of MGS in Konami’s hands don’t look bright. I hope I’m wrong but history doesn’t work in their favour in this case.

          • Full Options

My worst fear on earth (like really xD, it is true), is Konami finishing to kill Snake by giving hard time to who is left from old Koji-Pro in their walls.

          • ADAMJENSEN13

I know Im green to the series but Im already curious which character story they will choose. Big Boss or Solid Snake. Or maybe game about Liquid Snake? That would be nice. I really like him after beating MGS1. And know knowing His story from MGSV when He was a kid we could see what happened during those years to MGS1.

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

I hope they’ll reboot the franchise – or it’ll take place in the same universe but with completely different characters.

I don’t know if you’ve played MGS3 yet (if you’re yet to experience MGS3 I envy you with every ounce of my being), but one of the central characters in it: The Boss, I would love a game with her, a prequel set in 1940 or something would be cool, and since it is near the beginning of the MGS timeline (where our world history diverges slightly from Kojima’s one), the devs have more free reign to create – in other words: it would be very hard to screw that type of story up.

          • ADAMJENSEN13

So MGS3 is that good? Now Im even more excited to play it 🙂
And before 3 I want to play MGS2 so there are many things unkown to me Im looking forward to.
That have sense. They would have to make new story instead of ruining the one Kojima created. Really smart.

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Oh, how much I wish I was you… Yeah, MSG3 is very good (my personal favourite). And you haven’t played MGS2, oh man – you are in for a ride.

I’m pretty new to MGS as well compared to most of the guys on here. I started with MGS4 (bought it for the multiplayer, I played nearly only multiplayer games, didn’t like singleplayer games back then). After a few months of playing Metal Gear Online 2 I booted up the singleplayer as people online kept talking about how the singleplayer is so good, got 2-3 hours into the story and had 0 idea what was going on and went back to multiplayer. Later that year I bought MGS2 and 3 for PS2 (I didn’t play any of the other MGS’ until the HD collections release in 2011), and yeah – because of MGS my entire taste in games changed. I now enjoy a wide library of genres.

          • ADAMJENSEN13

Cant wait to play them all!!! 🙂
My first was Ground Zeroes. Before buying I read people complain about its lenght. But for me it looked mega amazing and I didnt care about its lenght.
When I first played it, it was like Holy shit! The intro, music and that fantastic gameplay!
I played for 60 hours and I could run it even now and I would have plenty of fun. Next Phantom Pain. That is stunning in everyway but gameplay is just the best. I played it for about 200-220 hours. And still could play it.
MGS1 is sooooo awesome too! Stealth parts are fantastic!
I like to play diferent games too. Im planing to buy Zone of the enders now for PS2. Im really excited to play it 🙂

          • Gatsu

It’s one of the best games ever and it also has the best ending to a game :).

What’s ahead is indeed very exciting / interesting. Fantastic coders and artists are still in Konami’s towers. If the next MG is crap, I will certainly not blame those… But still can not forgive the other ones for what they did (and how).

          • ADAMJENSEN13

I think so too. For sure directing, gameplay(or konami will just put that was already done by Kojima) and story wont be soo great anymore but its still interesting to see how they will continue this series.
Thats right. Those graphic, animation and some other coders who worked on MGSV probably are still in Konami so something can be still great.
I know that Ashley Wood worked on Metal Gear. Maybe He will be now offcial artist for MG instead of Yoji Shinkawa.

    • Gatsu

No I don’t think we see anything of MG. But I’m excited for ME:A and few other games :).

      • ADAMJENSEN13

I Never played Mass Effect but Im excited for Andromeda too. And Scalebound, Detroit:Become Human and other titles.
About new Metal Gear. Maybe some teaser? Or Who will be directing new game? Or something like that.

        • Gatsu

You should give Mass Effects a try definitely if like scifi and space exploration. The characters are awesome. ME2 is mindblowing imo :D.

          • ADAMJENSEN13

I will definitly buy it someday.

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

            I concur:

            Mass Effect 2 isa mastapeace… 10/11.

    • vic boss

I know that they won’t show anything related to MG but Konami it’s gonna be there and if they’re only gonna show PES , well that would be a waste but in the other hand it’s Konami and they don’t really care so…

      • ADAMJENSEN13

Hahaha! Youre right. Last Konami game was some Silent Hill(Im not counting PES and MGS(that is Kojima game)) so they really dont care as You said.
Im checking wikipedia now and list of Konami games. The only thing they are doing is Dance dance and some other music type games. Other titles like Castlevania which used to be one of the best games now is making Mercury System and Silent Hill games are made by Vatra and Double Helix.
MG Rising was made by Platinum games.
That would be really shocking and kinda weird if new Metal Gear(probably they would name it MGS6) would be made by someone else.
Ubisoft??? Hahahaha! Metals Creed or Assassins Gear.

    • Mr. Sir Shpee

At the very most, an MGS1 remake. I don’t expect a new game though.

      • ADAMJENSEN13

That would be nice too. I heard that twin snakes is not remake everyone wanted. You played it?

        • Mr. Sir Shpee

I’ve actually only played GZ and TPP (PC gamer). I watched the rest on YouTube although I never finished MGS4 (but I know about the ending).

Ahhhh – going to make a twitter account just to vote games. Yano-san playing games was too funny.

      HueHueHueHueHueHue!

Also Kojima talking about games is very awesome. I think he said a few months ago he was playing Fallout 4, and he also said he really wants to play GTA V but he was too busy with MGSV.

I’d love to see a Kojima let’s play.

Exactly / me too, and I think this could easily happen if he just think / consider a bit about it. Maybe people yet familiar with the standard could suggest / remind him. He could do one also with a friend(s) for example with Mark or Geoff…
Yeah this could easily happen, I am sure he would be fine with the idea. Some exceptional HideoTube episodes could definitely be shoot live like that !

Oh wait did I mention dat fucker? FUCK!

  • Gatsu

I just saw the new CoD trailer…wth happened with the series lol. I mean, I’ve never liked them, but didn’t it start with World War era? Now it’s aliens and spaceships o_O lmao.

    • Leguywhodrownedquiet

      Aliens?
Did we see the same trailer mate lmao?
Bf5 is looking amazing btw but the cod 4 remaster also looks amazing
      Arma for the muthafucking win

      • Gatsu

Okey I didnt check it too well but still spacefighting etc, I think they’re trying a bit too hard. Half million dislikes almost already. Just reminds me of some Star Wars or Mass Effect, which is imo just too scifi for the CoD name.

I wonder what they come up with after this one…

        • Leguywhodrownedquiet

Disliking Cock of doody is a trend and that annoys me
But despite the horrendous gameplay, IW has stepped up their graphics even though developers like naughty dog have made better graphics on last gen
Also Arma 3 ftw once again loool

          • Gatsu

I don’t dislike it because of the “trend” though, never been a huge fan of shooters and to me they just don’t bring much new good stuff with each entry, from what I’ve seen. Few shooters have been pleasant like Borderlands.

Even though it’s nice to see super good graphics etc, I don’t care if a game have worse graphics because it’s not the most important to me. I feel like most developers only try focus on the graphics side and forget the important stuff…

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

            Arma?
            Ehhhh TEAM FORTRESS

        • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

          Half a million dislikes???!!!

          HueHueHueHueHue!!!!

CoD is like that one kid in high school who everyone mocked but you were friendly to, and now he thinks you’re best friends so he follows you around were every you go and you really want him to go away.

With that being said, he can also be quite a chill guy if you give him the chance. I really liked Black Ops 3 – the story I mean.

      • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

I loved Crysis 2… One of my favourite pure FPS games. It’s just so unashamedly badass.

Hans Zimmer’s soundtrack is also godly…

        • Mr.Pony

Crysis 2 and 3 completely missed what people liked about the first by making them more linear, they could have been what Far Cry is now.

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

True, it is linear but I think that was the best choice.

In my opinion the first game should of been linear – the combat and stealth mechanics weren’t refined enough to work in an open world. Crysis 1 is a glorified tech demo, literally – it was a tech demo that EA wanted to make into a franchise so threw money at Crytek to make into a game – and its tech demo roots show: you can see they designed the jungle first before even thinking about accommodating the player, instead of building the world around the game mechanics: which is how you design a good open world.

I liked the story of Crysis 2 and gameplay – it wasn’t trying to be a masterpiece or innovate the genre, it just wanted to have fun with what it was. It also was a lot less linear than other FPS games in its genre, there were a lot of maps with multiple vehicles you could use to traverse and options for stealth, combat or going completely pacifist.

You could tell the devs knew they didn’t have the knowledge, resources and/or time to make the world open, so instead of making a boring open world game they played it safe and to their strengths, making a shorter, better paced, more exciting, more linear game – which is what I wish other developers did: *cough*, *cough* Assassin’s Creed *cough*, *cough*

On a side note: I hate the gameplay of Far Cry 3 upwards, in fact; I just hate the gameplay of all modern Ubisoft games.

          • Mr.Pony

Yeah but if EA doubled down on what the first Crysis wanted to do, they would be the ones reaping the rewards for that Far Cry gameplay formula.

I hate the Far Cry/Assassin’s creed gameplay not because it is bad, just for the fact that once they figure out a formula they will just squeeze it to the end of times and at this point seeing the same mechanics bein repeated in sequels of a franchise over and over en a yearly/two year cycle is just annoying. The only game from Ubisoft that i could endure, at this moment, even if it was a copy paste formula would be Splinter Cell, just because there is enough room between games for me to actually miss it.

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Ah, I never even thought of that – I 100% agree with everything you said. If EA didn’t play it as safe as they did, Crysis could of become a direct competitor of Far Cry – for better or for worse.

        • Leguywhodrownedquiet

Ok, at least is not in the future. Maybe it extend from WW1 to WW2 that would be really great.
I´ll wait for the trailer before making more assumtions.

    • Mr. Sir Shpee

boy I just can’t wait for Metal Gear Solid 6: The Great War.
Imagine the level of immersive stealth technology available to Snake.
“Snake, we’ve invented this thing called a ‘suppressor’.”

      • Leguywhodrownedquiet

        Hahahahahahahahahahaahaha

  • vic boss

One more week to get out of school, then I will play Uncharted 4 and the new Doom and after that, I will finally play the best saga all over again. I mean stealth is the best way I like to play games and MGS gives me that and not only that it also gives me a story capable of making me cry.
Im proud to live in this era where I can play this games and to have discovered them, because there are people out there that might like it but don’t even know it exist.
    https://youtu.be/U0q2cE-ydyQ

  • Mr. Sir Shpee

Well deserved. Absolutely fantastic game and it’s also helped get a lot of people (such as myself ever since the E3 2014 demo) into the franchise.

  • Leguywhodrownedquiet
    • BurntFM

I always wanted a WW1 game and this looks very promising. I might finally go back to FPS games after over 10 years of not playing them just for this game.

      • Leguywhodrownedquiet

Let’s hope the campaign is good

      • Gatsu

I’ve been mostly away for a decade maybe of them too, some friends still play stuff like CS but I rather use my free time with some more meaningful games.

P.S. there some FPS games I played though :3.

        • Leguywhodrownedquiet

I actually like fps games like bioshock infinite
I also like indie games like gone home and limbo 😛

          • Gatsu

            Bioshock is great yeah :).

        • BurntFM

Yeah I guess you could call Gone Home an “FPS” and I played that, but I was thinking more in the lines of “pew pew” shooty games those gave me motion sickness when I was very young and was too traumatized to enjoy them. But this game looks pretty good.

      • Leguywhodrownedquiet

Spike Lee might be happy since once the protagonist is black
Jokes asides this trailer made me jizz especially with the Lawrence of Arabia part

        • BurntFM

I mean freaking horses. Sold LOL

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

            Yeahp
All the cod fans are whining this is CG lol
            But this is not CG

    • Gatsu

I have to say this actually looks pretty good.

      • Leguywhodrownedquiet

        hehe

      • Yeah, it looks pretty impressive.

      • Leguywhodrownedquiet

People are saying this is CG but we have seen frostbite’s miracles
However , graphics aren’t enough for a good game but this looks hella promising

    • Yeah, have read that line many times now.
Having a good looking game set in WW1 doesn’t make it automatically good.
Still looking forward to this and Infinite Warfare

      • Leguywhodrownedquiet

        *Facepalm*
I respect ur opinion man but those charlie intel fucks saying this is CG are dumbasses

        • Well it was not in-game footage. It was a pre-rendered trailer (Game Engine Footage) as it said in the beginning.

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

Dude have you ever played a frostbite powered game ?
            It’s not CG

          • I know very well how games powered by the frostbite engine look like. All I am saying is that the trailer was showing (except for a short moment) pre-rendered scenes.

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

Don’t bring your charlie intel bullshit here mate
It said game engine footage which means it’s the same as IW
And they did show some gameplay
            Peace!

          • Geez what are you getting so mad about… Game Engine Footage doesn’t mean game play footage, that’s all I’m saying.

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

            K then

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet
          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

It did not say it’s pre rendrered tho lol

    • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Still probably going to have a shitty tacked on story mode that they should of gotten rid of to spent more time/money/resources on the multiplayer: which is where their focus clearly lies.

I miss the Bad Company days – the only good BF campaign.

      • Leguywhodrownedquiet

The comedy was badass but look !
We don’t know shit about the campaign except that Lawrence of Arabia is probably in it
There is also a badass black dude with the spimed melee weapon who appears to be a protagonist

  • Gatsu

Feels like I haven’t used my PS4 in a loooong time lol. Can’t wait to play UC4 and FFXV <3…

  • Mr.Pony

So I decided going back for a few matches of MGO today (after not playing for many months) and i couldn’t even get into a match or find one for that mater, is this happening to anyone else or simply isn’t anyone playing it?

*Off topic* Just watched Deadpool ONLY yesterday night… I have to say it was a so perfect peace of awesomeness that I heavily hate myself for not watching this in theater… Truly great one and so funny !

    • Gatsu

Yeah its one of the best movies of recent years. 😀 so awesome!
I just came back from watching Civil War, it was so amazing too ^_^.

      • Leguywhodrownedquiet

Civil war had pretty wtf moments they tell me

Yeah, the way they are taking care of this franchise works just like a charm… The constant 4th wall breaking stuff… It just remind me someone else style (guess who)… 😀
Civil War had some slight slow down moments, but my overall impression was extremely cool ! And what a Spidey !!! ;D

        • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

What a Spidey indeed… I was giddy like a schoolgirl due to how right they portrayed him – the only thing in years that actually reminded me of the Spectacular Spider-man cartoon (RIP).

          • Full Options

Yeah, his powers are spot-on the idea I had of them. Oh you happened to watch the cartoon, I was really young, but it is certainly part of the best oldest cartoons I loved (if not the one, and whatever their fps ;D).

Yeah, Spidey has the force of a 1m80 tall spider which allow him nearly 100m long jumps for example. Spiders are extremely stronger than us, if we consider the according body size ratio… 😀

  • ADAMJENSEN13

    Hey,
    Off topic question again.
Im really interesed in playing Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 MSX.
I know that they were included to MGSHDcollection but what about PS2 games?
I mean MGS2 Substance and MGS3Subsitance PS2 versions. They are included on one of them, or both or maybe only HDcollection?

    • They are included in MGS3 Subsistence only. So not the regular Snake Eater and not in MGS2 / Substance.

      • ADAMJENSEN13

        Ok I see.

        Many thanks 🙂

    • Full Options

My copy of the “HD-Collection” PS3’s MGS3 have them, but some are saying it does not have all MGS3 Subsistence items. If you want to play MG1 & 2, they should be available in the HD-Col’s MGS3, or try an msx emulator for PC or Mac.

      • ADAMJENSEN13

Thanks for reply and info 🙂

        • Full Options

          You are welcome, ;D
          Happy MG !!

    • Lewis

You can buy Legacy Collection. It has all the MG games not counting Portable Ops.

      • ADAMJENSEN13

        Thanks fro reply.
Legacy collection for PS3? Too bad I have only PS2 🙁

        • Yep it’s for PS3.

        • Lewis

Yeah, it is for PS3. I think there is no way to play MG1 and MG2 on PS2, but Legacy Collection is the best value you can get, ever: all MG games in a single box (well, MGS1 is downloadable) for only 60$ (if not less).

    • Venom_Sina

      Hey.How you doin’?
You can buy the Legacy Collection which has MG1 and MG2.I played them myself,so I can confirm it.They are in MGS3.Unfortunately some contents are missing, like Snake vs. Monkey missions,or the Guy Savage (Snake’s dream in MGS3.It’s a hack & slash mini game).

      • ADAMJENSEN13

        Me?Hmm… Ok I think 🙂
Thanks for all that info and reply but I have ps2 not ps3 so Legacey collection is not even a possible thing.

        • Full Options

Try to grab an msx emulator for PC or Mac, there are tons…
The MG 1& 2 roms hold in not more than 400 Kb.. You should easi:ly leak them somewhere.. 😉

          • ADAMJENSEN13

I think I will maybe try to buy Subsitance if there will be a chance.

    is anyone here a ps3 mgsv player/?

    • BurntFM

ME!!! I got in on PS3 because I never bothered getting a PS4 since I have a decent PC where I eventually got it again. lol

I love my ps3 and it will stay with me forever since my window to trade it in passed a long time ago. I could have sold it for 160 dollars towards the purchase of a ps4, but now it’s not even worth 30 bucks. So I’m keeping it.

      • NakedSnake85

        whats your psn? im filandrianos!

        • BurntFM

BurntFM lol it’s that on almost everything.

I was.I finished the game on PS3 for the first time.
I still have it and right now I’m playing Dark Souls 1 (I’m pretending that’s Dark Souls 3,lol) and Yakuza 5.I’m not done with PS3 yet.

Did Nomura(Did I pronounce his name well?) design Noctis
Also that creature is soo cutttteeee

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Nomura and previous co-director Tabata (now he is the full director after Nomura left a few years ago) designed Noctis.

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

            Thx man

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

Also does that cute thing have a name?

Carbuncle, a summon/eidolon/guardian force that protects the party with a reflect spell :).

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

            Great then 😉

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

Also Somnus’ vocal versipn better imo

          • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

Carbuncle – but you can name it to whatever you want in the demo, and it will port it over to FFXV on release.

        • JJBYACHFullOptions2FucKonami

It’s so rare to hear such a pure classical/orchestral soundtrack in a video game of all things.

[0:00 to 0:45 is my favourite bit]

[The most epic prelude remix ever]

          • Leguywhodrownedquiet

            Yeah I know
I also prefer the original one

        • Gatsu

I’ve always loved the prelude themes of FF and I still absolutely love the one used in IX. Both so beautiful <3.
