A new toy arrives at Kojima Productions

A new piece of equipment has arrived at Kojima Productions, the Arturia MatrixBrute. This is a high end analog synthesizer that will be used by composer and audio director Ludvig Forssell (who also composed music for Metal Gear Solid V).

“Well, hello there…” – Ludvig Forssell

“Lud’s toy has arrived.” – Hideo Kojima

Here’s a photo of what Ludvig’s workspace looks like now.

The other audio equipment you see on the picture was delivered to the studio earlier this year.

“Oh hey, look what just got delivered… OH YEAH” – Ludvig Forssell on February 10th

You can hear some of Ludvig’s work for Death Stranding during the TGA trailer.

Hopefully we’ll get to hear more of his work during E3, as many expect a new trailer at the PlayStation Media Showcase that will take place on June 12th.

  • This is a crazy cool tool for music. You can write some crazy synth stuff with it, also you can make your ears bleed with it too. It depends on how you are going to use it and if you have any experience with it.

You can write easily, I dunno … BLADERUNNER soundtrack on it in a few seconds even if you never touched a piano or have no real education in this field. I’m serious. I know how to play piano because I finished music academy when I was at school.

This Matrixbrute is cool. Check it out with sounds:

      Reminds me of a Moog.

Oh trust me my reaction was way more … Euhm personal than this

Moog voyager was my fav monosynth and a korg I once randomly used blew me away as a polysynth. Now that I emptied my balls seeing this I think I cam forget Moogs and Prophets. Is there anybody who needs a donor coz. I need money. And I mean hundreds of thousands of dollars .

Wow, Ludvig got an early visit from Koji-Santa… 😀
Crystal clear audio samples ahead, buddies !

I’m not a big fan of his work to be honest. MGSV has no unique (ingame-)track in my opinion, but MGS1, 2, and 3 do – just think of all the altert and sneaking tracks in the previous games

  • Gatsu

Wow such a cool looking toy omg <3, I wish I would have something like that :O…. Also that workplace, awesome o_o.
