Kojima pays a visit to Platinum Games

Hideo Kojima visited Platinum Games, located in Osaka, and had a dinner meeting with Hideki Kamiya, one of the founders, and Tatsuya Minami, the studio’s president and CEO.

“I visited at Platinum Games today.”

“Mr.Kamiya & Mr. Minami.”

“Mr.Minami has the same Rising bumper iPhone case.”

“Had a great fun chat with Mr. Kamiya, gained energy. Will continue in Kojima Station.”

This visit has caused some speculation saying it may have had something to do with a sequel to Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, the Metal Gear spin off released last year. Both studios have expressed interest in developing the title, and Kojima said that if there is going to be a sequel, he would want this studio to do it. But of course, it could also simply be a friendly visit, as Rising was not mentioned by Kojima or Platinum Games in their recent tweets. Also keep in mind that Kamiya was not involved with the first game.
