Character and Mission DLC for Metal Gear Rising a Possibility, but no Online Multiplayer

During an interview with the staff of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, the game’s producer Yuji Korekado said there are no plans to add online multiplayer to the game. There are however plans for future downloadable content to be released after the game’s launch. As examples Korekado mentioned new characters (Gray Fox maybe?) and new missions.

Some other small details were mentioned in the interview. The game will know a growth system which gives players the ability to purchase new moves and combos. Also, the character seen in the trailers who looks sort of similar to Vamp isn’t him, but a new character introduced in this game. He plays an important role in the story.

The interview ended on a pretty funny note. When a journalist asked if there were any plans for PlayStation Move and Xbox Kinect support, the producer responded with the question if they would want that. After a brief moment, the  journalist answered with a decisive ‘no’, after which everyone started laughing.
