New images of the Art of Metal Gear Solid V Limited Edition
Today we have some new images of the limited edition for The Art of Metal Gear Solid V, releasing at the end of November. On the pictures you can see the slipcase, a close up look at the lithograph by Ashley Wood, and the Diamond Dogs ID tag that is included in the bundle.
Konami has also confirmed that only 400 limited editions will be made.
The book is currently available at Amazon for a price of $93.42 USD. The regular version is currently priced at $29.99. For those in Europe, the book is also available at Amazon Germany and France.

Thanks for the update, Boss. By this rate, it’s virtually impossible for all nukes to be disposed of on PC because of the abundance of cheaters (or so I’ve heard).

The last time I gave a shot at hunting them, the nuke owners tab was just empty. Do you think that the ones that purchased insurance have their nukes not listed when they are off-line ?
In such case, we are maybe in front of very few but heavily trained “nuke gurus” that just steal or craft, exposed only when they are online, and connecting very sporadically :/ .. We can obviously not monitor the nuke tab 24/7 to spot them. They may be way too advantaged.. 🙁

From what bing appears to translate, it indeed sounds like a glitch. :/ Although after 3 months they should have addressed it or issue more than just light Japanese info on the matter.
If not and just related to insurance, terminate support for it or just expose nukes out of FOBs would be a fair deal and would give another motivating dynamic for players. It has been a whole year (!?)… unless Konami discovered that FOBs insurance is more lucrative than pachislot or something.. xD
I would be glad to help during some week-ends, but without any FOB to target, we are in a solid dead-end for now. I just keep kickin Skulls ass’s in the event for now (love that).
The thing is, we can’t disarm the Nukes because the Nuke Tab is broken!
I think it’s impossible to get that special cutscene. Bu who knows? Maybe in 2019 when a lot of people signed off from the game,we can get that…
Yeah, even considering the system running normally / not broken or glitched, the requirements are still very difficult. Besides, not sure about the exact rules, but if the insurance can protect them, then a single ass, in love with his precious nukes in his garage, can prevent the whole planet from having the cut-scene without even being connected. 🙁

I just think having the canon fall apart at the end sucked. Good luck meeting Big Boss in MG1. Good luck figuring out why Gray Fox joined Big Boss in MG2, seeing as how he didn’t meeting him in MG1 (or so we can only assume). Good luck figuring out why the name Outer Heaven sticks to Big Boss, even though he didn’t have the place in MG1. Good luck figuring out what happened to the whole CIA/Big Boss infiltration/re-joining between 1984 and 1995 (MG1).

Assumptions. When a story isn’t clear after the final chapter, something’s wrong. And Kojima didn’t say PO was canon. He named his own games when talking about Metal Gear’s story shortly before MGS5’s release.
And I’ll stick with my statement. Your “answers” aren’t clear at all. Big Boss in the first Metal Gear is no longer Big Boss. Foxhound was supposed to be formed to try and recruit Solid Snake by Big Boss. Venom Snake doesn’t even think there’s any connection to him though. They said in MGS5 that Eli had no gene similarities. In other words, there is still no story of Venom Snake and Foxhound.

Wow this game…this game made me stay 5 hours strait on my couch … and i haven’t even scratched the surface of this game.
Truly a great RPG surprise,the gameplay elements are trully punishing and ARE NOT for the feint of heart.
The music itself can make you both brave and a bit paranoid(especially if you play with your headphones in a dark room).
I STRONGLY recommend this for all the folk who loved games like Diablo,Path Of Exile and Bloodborne.

This game is to me one of the best of the year, Lovecraftian horror, awesome narration, incredible art-style and such a good gameplay (the stress management is a especially clever way to increase the tension), plus the fact of randomly generated dungeons which makes it very re-playable

Idk about you,but the difficulty transition from apprentice to veteran dungeons is crazy.
Its like going from “very easy” to “very hard” sort of way.
I had like 4 of my dudes on level 3 resolve,only to realise you have to have at least lvl 3 armor,weapon and skill upgrades…which is costly
And then you hear about “new game-plus” where you have to finish the darkest dungeon within 93 weeks without losing more then 13 heroes.
Talk about punishingly hard games D:
yeah, its a good idea to spend some weeks just doing low level dungeons so you can upgrade the town and the discounts in the blacksmith and guild, also going on a dungeon without being full upgraded in skills and armor/weapons can easily turn into a total shit show, having 4 heroes on death’s door and the stress levels nearing the heart attack point in the most simple of battles. Also something i noticed is that i think dungeons adjust according to your party classes. Having someone with healing skills in the party will make enemies hit harder to compensate the fact that you can heal the heroes, not totally sure about this though.
I wish i knew that before lol….

Thanks for the new poll. Risking to surprise some down here, I voted “Yes”.
I know it will be a completely empty shell in term of story and koji-stunts mechanics, however, the purely “sand-box” part of me wish to test possibly new interface features and missions.
Even if just a small spin-off, I suppose it won’t hurt to test any new FoxEngine iteration based on Metal Gear through new missions, just like if it was the TPP mission pack / DLC we never had.
After all, they even kept Snake’s movements / animations / poses, the gameplay demo apparently feels like we are controlling Venom again, just like if we choose a different character from the combat unit. For example, this guy on top of the hill is standing or moving 1:1 like TPP’s Venom…
Considering that the tool-chain / editor is more ready than ever, I guess it should not be too complicated for few good level designers to end-up with something fancy to play ?

So they had a full year after ‘The Phantom Pain’ first came out and the only major things they updated were the FOB PvP mode and MGO3. If you ask me, Konami really missed the opportunity to add something to the story (we heard it all before with ‘Mission 51’ or ‘Chapter 3’) after Kojima left.

I love them, but I am not after theories for sure on this shot. Metal Gear contributed to build a tradition of Japanese gameplay, at the point it was defending it alone these late years, beside few exceptions.
I stick to Metal Gear for gameplay. I buy retail PlayStations, 70% for Metal Gear gameplay and 30% for GTA. Not playing any other game unless friends pay visit to me to co-op in RE or perhaps BF.
It is amazing how MG managed to pioneer its own game mechanics type since 8-bit consoles. I stick to it for stories as well, and MGS1 had enough assets to let Kojima awesomely express his crazy ideas (also and first of all gameplay-wise). Not saying Survive’s, specially without Kojima, will be successful at all… But if former Koji-Pro (unit-8 or whatever left of them) art of gameplay was less injured than it seems, it would make me happy.
off course they didn’t change anything, that costs money, but seriously I think those characters on the demo might have all the stats at medium or max and at the start of the game you’ll have your basic lv1 mgo character, mixed by some pseudo rpg mechanics you can get your character at peak condition.

I was thinking the other day how could have been the updates for metal gear v if kojima were still working there. The possibilities are endless, a lot of new stuff. I can’t start thinking in items, weapons, missions, fixes, menus.
But you know the reality, the game is dead and its only new update is survive.

Actually this might be the longest time ive been home (almost 4 months now).
Had to settle few thingies back home before departing.
Im leaving in 6 days,and im expected to be home on 10th January.

Ive started playing MGS3 finally!!!!!!!!!!! and I beat the pain today! and I already can say I dont know for what purpose The pain is in this game. He was in the 2 scenes in the game! WTF?! Metal Gear series have a big problem when it comes to bosses. They are shown twice in the game! Always! So no one care about them!
But other things are FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love about MGS3 that to Ocelot fight there is only pure stealth! and that is the best!

Way to go. Welcome to the world of coding. As far as HTML I don’t know anything. LOL but with CSS there are few things. There’s some redundant lines of code, it’s really important for you to comment. Right now it might not seem important with a few lines of code but when you start building big projects you’ll be glad you left comments all over the place. Try to keep a uniform neat format so it’s easier to read. Right now it’s a little messy. There’s seem to be a bug with the background picture. Find out if you have to add a statement with width and height. Right now it’s tiled and showing behind the Snake picture. You’re using values for the Snake image to affect the background image. Debugging is so fun…..( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) lol get used to going over your code a lot.

If you would like to get it all more seriously (better understand how the web serves pages, what’s supposed to run client or server side), I strongly recommend solutions like Apache friends XAMPP ( https://www.apachefriends.org/index.html – free and fully open source), that will change your PC into a real web server through deploying Apache on it (the “A” of XAMPP).
For the other servers coming with XAMPP, you will see later. You could decide to install Apache directly, but XAMPP may get you more assisted with various aspects.
Finally, the best website I recommend for helping you to solve most coding problems (form C++, C#, ASM, HTML, JS, all of them) is stackoverflow.com. They have zillions of solutions to zillions of coding problems.

Yeah, I happened to copy-pasto a lot of fixes from there too (and some rare times also provided answers ;D).
At the beginning, it would be better, but you are not really required to fully understand every single token you paste in your code.
You may progressively understand what you paste in but it is also ok if not, no shame at all. For example, you can import functions from the zillion dlls inside windows like OpenGL32.dll or D3D11.dll, without having to write / compile / link them yourself. Or say you need a specific implementation for a quite complex algorithm provided by a specialist. In such cases, you are always free to do it, but not obliged to master his source step by step since it may have took years for the author to master the subject.
Or like your javascript section. You are apparently ready to use JQuery, but certainly don’t want to write it yourself. ;D
I almost forgot, each times you find fixes or even hacks for given problems, think about going back to those community threads to post them. Most people selfishly stop right as soon as they found their solution, but it takes just a couple of secs more to paste the answer there after having checked that your code finally runs as you want. It is thanks to those efforts that we have answers to most issues now (even very specific / hard ones).
