Quiet will be the main heroine in Metal Gear Solid V

One of the new characters introduced in the Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain E3 trailer, is a female sniper called Quiet. In an interview with Famitsu and 4Gamer, translated by Dualshockers, Kojima talked a little bit about her.

He intends to make Quiet the main heroine of the game, but he doesn’t want to reveal yet whether she will be friend or foe. She contrasts with all the ‘old timers’ that generally populate the Metal Gear universe.

Quiet is played by Stefanie Joosten (Kojima Productions said earlier that they used a full 3D scan to get her likeness into the game). Kojima said she is very skilled, but had to practice at home because she never used the type of gun that the character does in the game.

Kojima also added that during 3D capture they had to focus on facial and body language, and not on her voice, because Quiet is unable to speak (although she isn’t completely silent, and does make small sounds).
