Silent Hills actor Norman Reedus has faith that he ‘can do something else’ with Kojima and Del Toro

Norman Reedus, the actor who was supposed to be the star in Kojima’s Silent Hills, commented on the new cancelled project in an interview with IGN.

I’m super bummed that that happened back in Japan, but I have faith. I have faith that we, the three of us, can do something else.

Announced in 2014, Hideo Kojima and filmmaker Guillermo Del Toro were going to work together on a new game in Konami’s horror franchise Silent Hill. Unfortunately the project was cancelled earlier this year, most likely as a result of Konami’s drastic restructuring and Kojima’s supposed departure.

However, fans are still hoping the collaboration will be revived somehow, and with both Del Toro and Reedus making clear they would like to collaborate with this team in the future, this may very well not be the last we hear from the project. If they are going to work together without Konami’s involvement, it obviously won’t be called Silent Hills, but perhaps the spirit of the game could be revived under a new name. Let’s hope so at least.
