Denis Dyack says there’s a chance for Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes on Switch

In 2004, Kojima Productions collaborated with Canadian studio Silicon Knights to create a remake of the original Metal Gear Solid on Nintendo Gamecube, called Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. The remake added gameplay mechanics from Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and cutscenes directed by Ryuhei Kitamura to the game, as well as rerecorded dialogue in higher quality. Despite many fans disliking these changes, the game was met with positive reception and remains one of the more sought after Gamecube titles.

Recently, a Twitter user asked Denis Dyack (former president of Silicon Knights) wether there was any chance of the game appearing on Nintendo’s newest gaming system, the Switch, and his reply was a simple but affirmative ‘yes’.

There have been rumors of the Switch receiving Gamecube titles through its virtual console program, but so far there has been no confirmation on this feature. Whether Dyack knows something or this is just a hypothetical reply remains to be seen.
