Close Up: Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater Deluxe Edition
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the remake of the beloved entry in the Metal Gear series, was released on August 28th, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC. In Europe, three different physical versions were available, the regular (or Day One), the Collector’s Edition and the Deluxe Edition, which is the one shown in this article.

It comes in a paper box with sleeve showing a render of Snake’s face in black and white. After removing the sleeve you get a cleaner version of this image without the logos and text, and on the back a cropped FOX emblem.

The first thing you’ll find when opening the box is a voucher to download the Sneaking DLC pack, which gives access to some uniforms and accessories for Snake to wear.

Secondly, the game itself in its Day One case. In there is another voucher code for the Tuxedo.

Then there’s a steelbook, somewhat resembling the one that was released alongside the original game in 2004, using the same Shinkawa artwork of Snake and The Boss, but with the new title.

Further in you will find a bundle containing five art cards, with character renders of Snake, The Boss, Ocelot, EVA and Volgin.

Lastly, there’s a FOX Unit patch and a keyring with the famous red exclamation mark.

All in all a pretty cool edition for Metal Gear fans who’ve been waiting for the franchise to make its return.
