Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain Limited PS4 Pack shown off in new video
Along with the release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, the Asian region, Japan region and PAL region will receive a special edition MGSV PlayStation 4 console. Konami has released a new video showing off the Japanese bundle.
So far this bundle has not yet been confirmed for release in America. If you want it to happen, you should go bother SCEA, and they might listen.

I bought mine from a site called Aliexpress.com,wasn’t sure at first was it a good site when read about some possible scams etc happening there. But decided to take a chance and it worked with no problems for me, also my TPP skin was perfect when arrived :). It’s a fantastic alternative imo, IF don’t want to spend the money on that TPP PS4 (or if don’t have the money).

Anyway the site got lots of skins for PS4 if search, only problem with mine was having the patience to put them correctly but it was quite easy in the end. Sometimes I keep my PS4 in vertical position so the both images show, but scared that my damn cat is gonna make my console fall lol :C….

Kojima probably had 0% say in this. He’s the game designer and director not the PR department of Konami.
You would be surprised how involved the team often is with the merchandise. Shinkawa designs a lot of the items, such as the FOX Edition PS4, clothing and watches. Kojima supervises everything.

Anthropus – this model will look alike man (anthropomorphic – had legs and arms)

P.S. Sahelanthropus is the genus with only one known species of extinct hominid known from central Africa (Tchad) – Sahelanthropus tchadensis. And all the fossils of this species are the skull bones. Kojima gonna blow up our mind’s… the devil is hidden in the details.
The name and its origins of also tie into the theme of race.
This game is just to obviously put together very well, the other MGS games you had to look to find the amazing details but for TPP it is practically yelling it in our faces, lol.

Don’t worry about it, they will ;). Portugal is not a large market and most of us buy the regular edition.
I remember buying the “special edition” of MGS4 (the one with the making-of and the Solid Snake figure) on fnac without pre-ordering it and they had those on stock for at least a week after the game was released.
Besides, I pre-ordered my CE within the hour following MegaMania announcing they were accepting pre-orders so I think that even if they ran out of CEs I’ll get one :).

Yeah, Black Flag was good. In fact, I enjoyed it quite a lot. But not for the “Assassin” aspects of the game but the fact that you were a pirate and all that. In terms of an Assassin’s Creed story, I still prefer AC 2.
I think it was a great series until brotherhood, Revelations was okayish.. Assassin’s Creed 3 was a let down, but it should have been the end of the story. The gaming industry needs to learn when to put a good story to rest and start making another interesting project. At least that’s my opinion.
AC3 was good in gameplay (expect it was glitchy as hell), but the story was poor and it kinda got old fast. AC4 was boring as hell and don’t get me started with Unity. But yeah? Ezio triology was awesome.. i miss those games.
Yep, the thing is that we saw Ezio grow from a rich boy to a total badass who also became wiser with the years. I can’t say the same about Connor. They showed us his story from early childhood and all, but he was so stubborn that he stuck to his naive ideals and that ended up backfiring in the worst ways. I found myself wanting to punch some sense into him in every memory section of his story. An also, the way they ended Desmond’s arc was such a bummer…
There was some theories that Desmond was descendent from Adam and now we should start playing with the descendent of Eve. But no, thats a too much good plot for Ubifucks.

i think there will be a physical version for PC version,but it will be months after the release….considering PC wasn’t in the plans,they started the development of that platform in late stages of Ground Zeroes but atleast they added few advancements over the console version (since they had a lot of ground work finished for it by console development)….same as The Phantom Pain,but somehow they managed to put the release for it 2 weeks after that…you have to take into consideration both time and budget for those kind of things,im pretty sure that development and later on distribution for consoles (physical versions) took great tool on the budget,squeezing in the PC along with consoles made that cost even higher(despite the FOX engines budget save)…they release physical versions and special editions on consoles because its cost effective and most of the profits come from those same consoles…so you have to understand why they have to postpone the PC physical version for now,but without special editions ofc

Okay here’s a MGSV: TPP question for everyone who are bored: 🙂
When you are playing the main missions, are you going to play them all in the day time, all at night, or a mix of both??
For me, I will probably mix it up with day and night. 🙂 Then when I replay it again, I will do it in the opposite time (day/night) to see how the mission would vary.
Although when I reach the African jungle, I will favour infiltrating it at night for first time playthrough.
The thrill of sneaking through the jungle at night, wary of dangerous animals/wildlife, taking out guards one by one … sounds like a lot of fun! 😀
The cover of darkness will do for my first playthrough, or at least until I get better at being stealthy. Ground Zeroes was already hard and now they’re talking about soldiers being more clever in TPP.

Just note that from the previews, using the thermal/ night vision goggles drains battery life which was not the case in Ground Zeroes. Also the soldiers can use thermal/ NV goggles as well. But night time stealth is really fun though! 😀

Easy? Hard difficulty wasn’t, especially the anti-aircraft side op. In normal it wasn’t that big of deal once you get a hang of the new engine, the guards field of vision, etcetera. But you need a lot of trial and error.
i hope they fix guards sometimes seeing through things or identifying you by seeing one inch of youre foot under a coverd fence

That sounds like a good approach as well. If the mission is too hard, starting at a different time of day could help you complete the mission. 🙂
Probably play as they start. If it’s night, it’s night. Won’t change it to my favourite. Let the game challenge me.
Im gonna do it ASAP, then scout the area and then use the phantom cigar to see what is the best time to infiltrate. Gotta take advantage of all the good mechanics they give us! On the first run im gonna take my time and enjoy everything with no hurry.

Same here, I’m going to do the main missions, then replay them to get all the rewards (if I can). Then do all the possible side ops that are available, before continuing onto the next set of main missions. Also visit Mother Base as often as I can to make sure my fellow soldiers are happy. 😀
Sounds good! Remember though as they showed some of the side ops seem very important and should maybe be done before hand to help with the main missions 🙂 I hope the mother base visits aren’t to cumbersome ’cause to me it would seem more natural to be in the field for as long as possible. And I think it would give it a better feeling as you do the missions one after another fluently.

id like to see remakes of MG1 and MG2 into one game..maybe they will actually put some proper storyline in it
Lets be fair, only the first MG had a basic normal story line, which wasn’t special, MG2 has an amazing story line and amazing gameplay which MG:S used ideas from, MG2 is where the MG series starts for me, the MG series only started feeling like MG at MG2. Unless of course what you meant by “proper” was storyline that works with the rest of the MG series, lol. But in this case as well it is primarly the first MG that is so broken from the rest of the series, where as MG2 still ties in well enough, especially considering how much it ties into the story of MG:S.
I personally dislike the idea of combining the two games into one, why would anybody do that? they are both completely different events in different times and are drastically different in what important aspects and moments come into play, they each have there own story, bosses, items, etc, it would be unfair to both games, and also not make much sense to combine both games into a single game.
i think kojima will take that into consideration tbh and just mesh mg2 and mg1 together. i have a feeling they will be missions towards the end of the game where we play as solid snake infiltrating outer heaven

Yeah they have to do one between MGS2 and 4. It’s a pretty important chunk of story. How Raiden lost his body saving Sunny from the Patriots.
Also how he learnt some of his ninja skills. 🙂
Yeah definitely. In MGS4 he mentions learning scouting from Native Americans. Would be cool to see who that mentor was.

I got all of those as well… except no headset and no sound track. But I did end up getting two of the u.s collector edition. (I didn’t find the red and gold that attractive on the headset..plus I love my sony pulse elite headset)
The main reason I got the u.s one as well instead of sticking with my Japanese edition was because I am almost 100% sure the Japanese one won’t ship here until way after release and I refuse to wait any longer. I’ve already waited 3 years! Haha.

Japanese DLC should work provided you have a JPN account downloaded and switch to your main US/EU account to play it.
At least that’s how the PS3 works. I’ll test it and confirm it in that week.

No PS plus is different.
What i usual do is download every DLC on the JPN account and played it on US account.
You’ll get the trophies, and even ability to upload your JPN save to the US PS Plus cloud.
Only thing bad is you don’t own the DLC(it’s stuck in your JPN account).
Other than that it pretty much should play a charm. You should just put your US and JPN account in the same PS4 and treat it as one so you won’t be confuse where your account is.
Yes they do have different monthly free games. You can still subscribe to PS Plus and get it and play it as well.

I’ve always loved how game developers make their games in these “Making of … ” videos. You really see how much effort and creativity Kojima Productions put into making each of their games. 😀
I am excited to see the Behind the Scenes documentary for MGSV: TPP, because they modified their game design process such as the addition of 3D photo scan, facial capture, lighting, etc. (PLEASE CAN SOMEONE UPLOAD THE DOCUMENTARY ON YOUTUBE? :D)

Yeah they’re really incredible and as you said shows just how much different things is involved with making of a game these days. I’m so amazed by all the tech stuff that is implemented in them, like motion caps etc, done in a very small area but in the game it just looks so incredible.

Disclaimer: I don’t believe that KOJIMA V KONAMI is just a ruse, but here is my theory in case it is.
Theory: Hideo wanted to move on from Metal Gear, so he made the ultimate Metal Gear Solid Game, and he tackled as many Taboo and Controversial Subjects in this Game, as this is the last one, and his name being removed from anything MGSV was is back-up plan in case he would get sued for anything related to MGSV, sued by people like Sergio Canavero for example, with Hideo name out, on paper Hideo just did his Job, making him untouchable, so the only one getting sued here would be Konami, especially since Koji. Pro. also doesn’t exist anymore on papers!
