‘Save Data Upload’ option added to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
Konami has released an update for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes that adds the option ‘Save Data Upload’ to the main menu. With this option, people who played the prologue can receive certain extras for The Phantom Pain.
The update is 362.5 MB, and doesn’t seem to be available for Xbox One yet.

i wonder what will happen is i transfer my ps3 and ps4 gz file to tpp? lol but damn i need to rebuy gz on ps3…. well maybe i will just transfer the ps4 file.
You can transfer your PS3 data to PS4, if that’s what you mean.
I think he means that he has GZ data of both PS3 and PS4 versions, and if there would be a conflict if he were to upload both for TPP use.

that’s dope! I love that the game saves are cross platform (within ps3/ps4 respectively) which means i can just upload my save of GZ on my ps3 (69%) to my disc of TPP on my ps4. Tho, i really wouldn’t mind playing GZ again on my ps4 since I do own it on disc AND downloaded it free from PSN a few months back ;D

Do the Eye and the Finger (For example) have to be extracted in Normal or Hard dificulty in order to get them in TPP?
I believe that doesn’t matter in which dificulty they´re extracted.
Funny thing for me is I kidnapped everyone in every mission on both difficulties. Place looked like a ghost town.
so you only have to extract the special characters and the yellow prisoners in all missions

Lol I doubt it, I choppered ever single guy out on GZ hard mode tho.. I even choppered the Fox Die corpses from DEJA Vu lol….

LOL, that would be funny if some does happen if you extract the FoxDie bodies, like a virus spreads through your base or something.
I do hope some of the troops get added to your base though, we’ll find out soon enough though
I did the same thing. I was messing around thinking what would happen if I tried to put a dead body in the chopper, thinking I’d get like an error sound, but Pequod took the bodies! Hilarious XD

Im at same point but was never concerned. Certain side ops unlock missions, they are marked as important. You should have the same side op I have highlighted yellow and im sure it leads to the next set of missions.

This is how the recruits works. Gotta complete missions in TPP to unlock them from GZ. 19 in total
So it doesn’t matter if you have 100% completion or how much you put into the game as long as you have a gz save?

Yeah from the looks of it you only need the save file … I guess the 100% completion gives you bragging rights. XD

19 recruits from GZ, GZ Sneaking suit, possible Grey Fox/ MGS1 Solid Snake skin for Big Boss and the opportunity to return to Camp Omega (GZ Map) to do special mission/s. This was confirmed by Kojima a while back I think.

honest question here: how can uploading your savegame need a 400mb update?
Changing the menu interface and adding the programming to upload the save data file would take that much space

UPDATE to get the update on Xbox One, uninstall the game and reinstall it, an update will be available.
Does anybody know if it matters that I played GZ on ps3 but know playing tpp on ps4?
They said all platforms will crossover to next gen, PS3 to PS3 and PS4, XB360 to XB360 and XB1, PC to PC.

You can, all Playstation info carries over and all Xbox info carries over to the newer platform.

Last night when I finally could log in a finished one of the main mission, it showed all my GZ unlocks, I left on the screen for a bit and came back and said I was no longer connected to servers. And none of the characters are in my MB.. Anyone know what the problem is? doesnt look like I have any unlocks at all from GZ and S ranked everything on hard twice and 100% Gettin kinda miffed here, that was a chore and air lifting everyone better not be time wasted because of some stupid server glitch
Well it added a few after mission 6 but the first bunch of guys it showed unlocked still arent in my MB and one of those guys was actually important
I startede play the pp without giving this a thought. Can I still transfer my data from gz to my pp game, or will I require that I start a new pp game?

Im playing on Xbox360 and I dont have that option save data upload. I didnt have that update for GZ. What to do? I cant download GZ save data for Phantom Pain.

Thanks for answer. Yeah. Its like problem with Deja vu mission on X360. There isnt update for GZ. For DejaVu and that save data upload. Maybe because I have digital version? Who knows.

Did you ever find a solution. I’m having the same problem. I got Ground Zeroes just so I can have that sneaking suit while playing TPP but like you there is no option to upload GZ save and no update. Driving me crazy.
