‘Metal Gear Collection 2014’ teased by Kojima

Kojima posted an interesting photo today showing what seems to be a slide from a presentation showing the text ‘Metal Gear Collection 2014’.

Metal-Gear-Collection-2014

“Reading the script for TGS stage show.”

Kojima didn’t provide any other details, but the most likely assumption is that this is another bundle of Metal Gear games, and it will probably be a release for current gen consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) with higher resolution and framerate.

Of course, this is just guesswork, and we won’t know for sure until the official reveal.

The Legacy Collection for PS4, X1 and PC.

      Good morning ;O…
That would be so great omg O_O, I’d buy the Legacy Collection in a second for PS4 or PC xD ! Everyone should get to experience all the fantastic MGS games, especially MGS4 for XBoxers. Although I can already imagine thousands of PS or MGS fans going insane about MGS4 change, because it wouldn’t be exclusive anymore.

I would love to buy MGS4 on PS4 and play it using my PS Vita remote-play :D. For some reason not many games on PS3 work while linked with my Vita :P, guess it wasn’t designed to work that good with the older console.

Honestly – given the amount of money that they chipped in to development so they’d have an exclusive system seller (Which was still relatively recently) – I’d be shocked if Sony were happy letting Konami let MGS4 go anywhere for the moment, even now. My bet would honestly just be on the HD remasters of 2, 3 and Peace Walker coming to the PS4, XBone and PC (I’d be shocked if Valve didn’t at least try to get the rights for the latter, since dropping lots of potentially new people straight into GZ would seem a bit awkward, even with the “Previously on Metal Gear…” recap on the main menu) that have been slightly retouched again.

      • ammar

Waiting for steam release like you @Venom Snake

  • Hirouakan

Here hoping that they put peace walker aiming and crouch on mgs2 and 3. Dont get me wrong, i love the games just as they are, but they did it on 3ds with mgs3d, why not do it again? Would be nice to replay these games with at least revamped controls and mechanics. You know, just another reason to replay them for the 19th time.

    • decoyF0XX

MGS2 is perfect, MGS1 and 3 however they could do that for. Would be nice.

oh man oh man I can’t do the MGS2 VR missions again

  • Nekkedsnake

I’m guessing LC for PS4. Maybe updated textures similar to Resident Evil 1 Remake. Maybe add Portable Ops & Twin Snakes. Mind blown!

  • No Place For Hayter

If we get all the games on disc, I might buy this collection. And if it is an upgraded version for the PS4/Xbone than heck yeah, I might go all in.

  • PrinceHeir

Just give me Portable Ops HD this time around ๐Ÿ˜›

This is their chance once again to put dual audio in all versions. Come on, let’s make this the ultimate collection in all regions of the world.

  • Grayson

Put this on Steam so I can buy it. I’ll buy it day one Konami, I’ll give you all the money you want.

  • i assume it’s for current gen, that would be really cool and imagine if MGS4 comes out at last on a Microsoft platform… that would be big news for some people
