Here is an off screen image of the MGSV: The Phantom Pain TGS video, and some details on the event
The Tokyo Game Show begins next week, and Kojima Productions will be there to present Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Silent Hills. Kojima posted a photo taken directly from his monitor, displaying the scene they will be showing during the event. It’s not much, but still.
Kojima Productions also detailed their plans for the four days of the show. These are the four stage events, with their dates and attendees (translation by DualShockers):
- ‘Vocation’ – 18/19/20/21, with Dante Carver.
- ‘Voyager’ – 20/21, with Kenji Yano.
- ‘Vehement’ – 20, with Akio Otsuka, Satoshi Mikami, Stefanie Joosten.
- ‘Virtue’ – 21, with Akio Otsuka, Satoshi Mikami, Stefanie Joosten, Kenji Yano and Tomokazu Sugita.
Another interesting tweet by Kojima promises some new details on the game tomorrow:
At Kojima Station tomorrow, we will show a bit of MGSV info prior to TGS. Stay tuned!
Don’t expect too much, since they will save the best for TGS, but exciting nonetheless.

Im not sure there will be a trailer. He says a scene. Maybe its a scene and the mission after that scene. When a trailer is coming out Kojima always sends some pictures of his editing station or something like that.

Yeah, we do know they will show a video, probably a gameplay demo followed (or introduced) by a cutscene, which could be what this photo is from.

Anything that has Ocelot and Big Boss interacting I’m down with. Hopefully we get to hear more of Sutherland too. I didn’t hate his voice in Ground Zeroes I’m excited to hear what else he has going on.

Remember: This is TGS season. It’s highly unlikely they’re going to be using the English voices for their presentation. This is where Akio Otsuka & the gang, make it do what it do.
Yeah I know, But they do tend to release both English and Japanese versions. So I’m expecting an English trailer after they do their live show somewhere.
True. No doubt. I’ll be expecting one too, just not simultaneously. They usually wait like a month or two before re-releasing it via Konami YouTube channel.
We’ll see how they do it, but at least in E3 they released both versions at the same time.
Good point. I was making that judgement off last year’s TGS with GZ. They waited a month or so before releasing Ground Zeroes’ english counterparts – but what you just said makes me more hopeful lol.

Not trying or even intending to start a PC vs Console War here, but by looking at the Suit, the Shadows and the overall Graphics, especially with that Tessellation, this is Definitely with no doubt PC Footage!

OMG soooo much hype 😀 😀 :D… Big Boss, Ocelot and Kaz all in the same scene oooh YEAH! The MSF suit looks awesome, also it’s nice to see so many special guests included! In a way I’d like to not see anymore of the game, but I just know I can’t skip TGS + TPP.
4 things I’m maybe wondering the most about TGS:
1. Will we get see release date?
2. What is the “Not Afghanistan” area they will show us.
3. Will we get to hear more great voice acting from Kiefer in the videos? Not sure when it is TGS, but maybe they will release separate English voice acting version.
4. Can I survive TPP presentation days alive, because of all the epicness might kill me lol.

I’m dying to find out what the collection is too. That would be crazy if he remade a few older games using the new Fox Engine. I know, long shot… but one can dream right?

That question alone could change whether or not I buy a PS4.
Considering the way they Revealed the PC Version, the Most “Bad Ass” way proves that is not a port, and that indeed it may come to Console at the Same time without Ground Zeroes shortly before!

I don’t think so, we saw Afrika in both the 2011 Fox Engine presentation and the E3 2014 Trailer, so having an entirely New location shown that we didn’t saw even a tiny bit like Alaska would be much better then Afrika, at least for me!

I personally doubt Eva would be dressed as such, but she could always be hidden for the sake of spoilers and would still leave me to wonder where that character model is pulled from.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing :), red beret and all. But this time it seems they are also wearing the Diamond Dogs logo.
I can easily think he is of Kaz’s elite guard corp. Kaz already had been ambushed in Afghanistan and all his bodyguards died. SO he might want to get an Elite corp now 🙂
And because we will surely witness the rift between Big Boss and Kaz during the story, I guess Big Boss will go renegade with some Diamond dogs soldier while Kaz will have his most trusted soldiers on his side.
I kind of suspect that Skull Face and Big Boss will be on the same side. I can’t say what that will mean though.

Nope, it has been since Peace Walker, and Is because the Lost Unit was always on his Right Shoulder, when the Current Military Unit is on his Left one, in both Peace Walker and Ground Zeroes he had FOX on his Right Shoulder (aka the Lost Unit) and MSF on the Left Shoulder (aka Current Unit), and now he has MFS on the Right shoulder (aka Lost Unit) and Diamond Dogs on his Left Shoulder (aka Current Unit)
Final cutscene of ground zeroes you see the MSF logo on both sides but I’m not sure about in-game, I’m guessing the FOX logo was just at the beginning alone.

How do you make that connection? I don’t recall them ever explaining that in PW I haven’t played the game in a while but I’m just looking for a scene or maybe a tape that can lead me to this conclusion… Don’t get it twisted, I know exactly what you’re conveying I just want to see where it says that. (I’m an information freak like that)
It isn’t explained at all in MGS because it is not unique to the series. I don’t know a lot about it, so I may be off in a few details, but basically – it’s a military thing in real life. You wear your old unit patch on your right, and your new one on your left.

Another thing that makes MGS Grounded in Reality!
It’s a military tradition to wear your current unit’s shoulder patch on the left, while wearing your former unit’s on the right shoulder. It’s a like a weareable CV for soldiers.

But after reading further, I found out that it was about this organization called Médecins Sans Frontières (aka Doctors Without Borders) lol. Pretty cool name, but I instantly thought it was about Big Boss’ MSF ;D…

I wonder if this means MGS4 will be playable for the Playstation 4, *if* this MGS collection is packaged with that and for the PS4/Xbox One.
If this is it, this means I can play every single MGS main title (Even PW via loophole method) from my Playstation Vita. MGS4 being the only accessible one by remote play.
MGS4 will probably jump to Xbox One since Kojima wanted to put The Legacy Collection on 360, but MGS4 prevented it from happening.

This games design is top notch….even for a MGS game (which I hold in pretty high regard) Everything from the sneaking suit, to the base, to the levels characters and special freakin’ effects…..absolutely gorgeous. I can’t wait to play this game damnit. Making it’s way to numero uno on my watch list in no time.
