Wired X MGSV The Phantom Pain Watch – new images and details
Konami has provided some details on the specifications of the recently announced Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain X Wired watch.
The watch was designed to have an eighties look, and it is a tribute to the Digiborg watch from that era.
Below are the official specifications (translated from Japanese):

Stopwatch function (1/100 second measurement, 9 hours, 59 minutes, 59 seconds 99 meter) / per month difference ± 30 seconds (if worn on your wrist at temperature 5 ℃ ~ 35 ℃) / split function (99 lap) / timer function / alarm function / dual time function / battery life out notice function / broadcast during the function
Case Size: Case outer diameter 52.5 × 42.0mm thickness 15.3mm

● Release Date: September 3, 2015 (Thursday)
● Price (excluding tax): 45,000 yen

The watch can be pre-ordered at Konami Style starting April 1st. According to Kenichiro Imaizumi, it will also be sold overseas, but you’ll have to ask your local SEIKO retailer. A tweet by Su-Yina Farmer (European communications manager at Konami) also suggests that the watch will be available in Europe.

I little over my price range for a watch.
A little over anyone-who-isn’t-a-CEO-or-doctor’s price range for a watch, I’d say.

It’s not that much money, and the aforementioned doctors and CEOs could afford actually expensive watches (given that the high end watch market -starts- at about 1k and the majority of it is over 10k).

Are you high? Retail price for this watch was $375. There are Casios that cost more than that. Entry level luxury watches these days are at the very least one to two thousand dollars new.

Pity they’re not including an engraved metal plate this time. But that artworks rocks!

Most people probably want the art alone, though just like the sail boat you shouldn’t but the large expansive product to get the bonus incentive alone lol.

Yeah bud, they sent me an email confirming they have my payment. I guess the next update will be on April when the pre order opens.
How did you order from a proxy shipper already? Don’t you need a link and for it to up already? I am using from.japan for the premium package and am going to try to do the same with the watch.
I used white rabbit express and provided a link from (i guess) the wired webpage with the news of the clock. They sent me an invoice and they commited to buy it when the pre-o opens next month. I just have to pay the shipping costs on september.
They were almost $50 more expensive for the premium package, which is why I didn’t go with them. I’ll check that out with the watch though. Thanks!
Yeah but if you think that play asia is selling the premium for 500 usd and ebay for around that much aswell 50,00 usd more on the price seems fantastic in my opinion 🙂

Cool watch but its not water proof. You’d think a watch Big Boss would wear would be water proof/dive approved.
