haha Sorry
legend
Covers of SNAKE EATER etc by Donna Burke…?
I am sold.
Shame how there’s no Elegia though.
Kojima did confirm elegia though
Isn’t that about the other CD? Since this seems to be the full tracklist for the Vocal Tracks & Covers CD.
Yes I think ?
Midge Ure’s version of “The Man Who Sold The World” is really cool and eerie sounding. It’s pretty different from Bowie’s original, but still awesome in its own right.
i wish they’d exclude that damn Robot Arm and ad the Soundtrack CD to the collectors edition instead
time to turn the volume up again
Then roll on like this

Haha did not expect that. Nice one.
again…?
For me is enough “Waaaa-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!”
I know this has been already said but I think the burnt village in the 2014 trailer is a reference to psycho mantis burning his own village and could play a part in the burning of the African village.looks like he’s obsessed with burning villages
Psycho Mantis was from Russia though right?
Yes.what I’m saying is that psycho mantis burns his Russian village.he is placed in the lab of parapsychology in Leningrad XOf uses him as an asset through cypher and mantis makes big boss burn the village in Congo .
That’s really too much!!!
That list is pretty good. I wonder, Why now? Why do covers of the classics? I don’t think I can handle it… but the idea is soothing.

Interesting they chose Midge Ure’s version of The Man Who Chose To Rule The World. Is it because Ure’s version was done in 1985?? Although I love both versions (David Bowie and Midge Ure). 😀
Can’t wait to hear Donna Burke’s covers especially SNAKE EATER! 😀 Amazing singer.
Sins of the Father is going to be an awesome song. Not many video games have their own composed vocal tracks haha.
I seriously hope Sins of the Father gets nominated for a Grammy or something haha!
Probably because Kojima is a big fan of Midge Ure, he tweets about it all the time.
Yeah I want to hear these songs… INGAME!!! Right?! If these aren’t on the cassette player i’m gonna be pissed…
The licensed songs are in the Original Soundtrack right?
Hence they should be in the game as well whether they can be heard in tapes or in cutscenes. 🙂
Not sure about the Vocal tracks though like Donna Burke’s cover songs and the previous Metal Gear Solid vocal theme songs.

This is my favorite Queen video.
PHEW!! that was close , I aleady order both thanks for the news! in the site now marks only 7 available!! I know that in less of 24hrs since release will be 320 mp3s everywhere, but TOTALLY WORTH IT!!! ALL FOR REVENGE!!!
even , you know which track is missing the “red band trailer” version. the first part is quiet`s theme and from “words that kill” switch to sins of the father, and we all think it was a single theme, well I hope any with sound mix skills made it
Where on the site does it say how many there are left?
i was think on the quantity, but they refer about the bouns gift a b2 size Uchida poster who run out btw
Ah yes, seems like the poster is gone.
do anybody know where they can get more from????
Why midge ure version?
Got both pre-ordered! Looking forward to that vocal tracks album. Must admit a little disappointed to hear that the soundtrack contains licensed songs. I thought there’d be enough material for its own album. Instead of taking space for more of the game’s score (as the OST is sure to be incomplete).
This sounds awesome! But no here’s to you and calling to the night from Donna Burke? Sounds like a bit of a missed opportunity since they did everything else. Oh well…
So will Donna Burke’s cover of “The Best is Yet to Come” be sang in english?
Sweet. Thanks Nyxus. Don’t know if i’ll pick up the one with Donna though; she’s often a bit too melodramatic for my tastes
This is incredible news for all the metal gear solid fans across the world, thank you so much Nyxus for posting this article for us because I been waiting for the release date of the phantom pain for a while now. I already pre order my copy of the phantom pain earlier this year, but I don’t know if is the regular retail version or the one day edition version. The reason why i am mention this is because I don’t know if the original soundtrack comes with the regular retail version or the one day edition version, or both of the retail versions. If the original soundtrack comes only with the one day version I am ok with that, because I can just go to gamestop and update my copy of the phantom pain. I also hope that konami and kojima production releases the original soundtrack on iTunes, because that would be easy and helpful to me because I wouldn’t have to carry a CD player around all the time. But either way I will enjoy the phantom pain and the original soundtrack, hideo kojima and his team who work so hard and tiresomely to make for us fans, thank you again Nyxus for the wonderful news.
Ordered mine. Don’t worry if you aren’t able to get it, as I’m sure those songs will make their way onto youtube if someone were to upload them…

Thank you SO much for this article Nyxus :), I pre-ordered mine <(^O^<) !
Listening to Midge Ure’s cover of “The Man Who Sold the World” and I can see why Kojima might want to go with that version, I just wonder if the cover will be in-game as well? Ure’s cover was first released in 1982 so I guess it makes sense.
Wait, I’m reading the comments here and I see people talking about the other CD. What other CD? I just bought the one from the link above. That’s the vocal tracks and covers by Donna Burke right? What’s the other CD everyone’s talking about?
The original soundtrack cd, 50 tracks on 2 discs.
That’s the one that comes with Japan’s special edition or all special editions or is it something else all together?
The soundtrack isn’t included with the special edition / collector’s edition.
Thanks for clarifying.
Gonna get this for sure 🙂
