Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience out now in Europe, launch trailer released
Today, October 13th marks the European release of Metal Gear Solid V: The Definitive Experience, the bundle version of MGSV that includes all three games (Ground Zeroes, The Phantom Pain and Metal Gear Online) as well as all downloadable content released thus far.
Konami has also released a launch trailer for the game:
The game is available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for €39.99, and on PC for €29.99.

Anyway I was able to enjoy the day somehow. I also managed to finally see the Happy Birthday scene on MGSV!!! Finally. Though I didn’t get Quiet scene since she was gone towards the end.
Well here’s the scene. The JPN version actually added some extra dialogue for Snake, while the ENG Kiefer was all silent all throughout. Wonder why they silent him? Been noticing some scenes in the English version being remove or blank.

I read your thing and I think it’s great you decided to study accounting, I have had the same issues as you, no goals and no motivation to really do anything and I guess you could say I still have no really straightforward set goals, I have never known what job I want to do and to this day I still haven’t worked it out. What I do have is a Chinese girl and she is really helping me out a lot to be motivated for things, I have known her for almost two years and she has been in China for a while now so we came up with the plan of me teaching English there.
I already have an offer set up and it’s not perfect but I feel it’s something I have to do. My family and friends think it’s completely crazy and my family don’t actually believe I will do it but I already have my mind set and I’m hoping to be gone by the end of the year. I’m 22 years old and have never been independent, I know people like to live at home for a long time these days but I don’t wanna be doing that and it will be great to be the first one out of all my brothers to move out. It will be tough, I will have my girlfriend to help me get used to the place but she won’t even be around that often, she is finishing uni in Guangdong and my offer is in Beijing, so she will stay with me about a month to help me get used to the place and then I will mostly be alone. My friend told me he has always seen me as least impulsive person he knows and now I’m doing the most impulsive thing he can think of, I’m doing it for my girlfriend but lately I have been thinking it’s also for myself, I’m still young but I should be so much further along than I am right now, I have done pretty much nothing since I finished high school in 2012 and some things happened that made me lose confidence in myself. I’m glad I met that girl because if I didn’t I probably still wouldn’t have a goal and I still wouldn’t be motivated to do anything, it will be very tough in China I’m sure but it’s time I move out and start being a lot more independent than I am now.
I’m glad you are making a huge decision for your own sake. As long as this is what you want to do all along. Do it. My mistake was my first degree. Just get a BS degree thinking that everything would be fine. But as soon as I saw the job opportunity in that field was low and the work that you do there is just garbage(imo), then it’s not worth it. One of my closest friends helped me though this. And I’m finally making small steps in order to become independent. Despite the lost of time(so many years wasted), I can only focus on my future and hopefully I reach my goal this time around.
I’m happy that you have your GF to support you in this. I hope everything works out with both of you in your end.

I wasted a lot of years too but we are both still young and you are turning things around very nicely right now, I just gotta make everything work. Same with you I have never wanted to be indepant so much in my life, I have three brothers, one older and two younger but all of them are in a better position than me, one has a job for life the other has a full university scholarship and the youngest one is about to finish high school. I’m kind of the failure of the family so it would be great if I could actually be first the to move out but at this time none of my family believe I would ever do it and I have never told them about a girl, most of our relationship has been long distance and I don’t really wanna tell them that part of the reason I’m doing this is for a girl I only knew a few weeks in person, that would make them think I’m even more crazy, only my friend knows about the girl and he has spent a lot of time trying to convince me not to do it.
You’re right becoming independent is important and I think every person realises this eventually, I want to be able to live my own life without the help of my parents, I want to be able to support myself and my girl and become a respectable person. I have a lot to get through like getting my passport and visa but first I gotta handle something else and I tried applying for it online but I need to go show my ID in person to upgrade my account and I’m even nervous about that lol it’s been quite a while since I have done anything now and it seems I get nervous about stupid things like that. I just gotta get used to actually doing things again.
I’m still glad I don’t have to go through Uni though lol I know how busy and stressful it gets. My friend is actually almost finished getting his accounting degree and he is freaking out about it, he left all his hardest subjects to last so now he has to do them all at the same time. That’s one of the things that made me think this China plan is really good for me, a few months ago my friend told me he was in his last months of Uni and that really hit me hard because he’s about to get a degree and I haven’t done anything important over the last four years.

Correct, Iron 1 used a lot of different studios (good old ILM included, did you checked the cut-contents?- awesome). CW airport shot is pretty great indeed. CW was fair, it could have been worse too.

The prequels get a lot of hate but they are great movies. I think people went in expecting them to be like the original series but Star Wars is a big universe and they don’t always have to have the same type of stories. Episode 7 went a little too far with copying the originals and everyone loved it but I would take the prequels exploring a different part of the universe than the same stuff.

There are various crucial reasons why you should definitely watch the old ones, starting with the masterpiece that represent “A new hope” :
Lucas put everything he had in this production whereas everybody was making him look like a fool, lost in the Tunisian desert with his crew.
He was never sure about if he would find a way to even finish it (find all the funds) until the end, which makes the movie truly autonomous and that could have stopped right here, without the feeling that we are missing the rest of the story.
In opposition with the prequels that were, all 3 of them, already budgeted, the story of the first one (“Empire Strikes Back” too, but “Return of the Jedi” was way more sure to get funded), its rhythm makes all other episodes look like derivative products (I am rude, although, meh..).
When you have budget for more than one episode, the lack of pressure makes you dispatch fancy elements homogeneously across all of them, always resulting in an obvious decrease of intensity for the story. It becomes chain-production instead of true and artisan efforts with a real soul in it.
On the other hand, when you are not sure to finish the one you are working on, the context force you to put everything you have (only when you are a great producer) in the production. All good ideas are more improvised, less planned so more natural / original and rich.
BTW this remind me the behavior of some beloved game designers.. ;D
