At least they could have included it in the Pachislot collector limited edition with a T-shirt entitled MGS3 PACHISLOT, yeah ! I am so HC fan that I plan to have a big “Pachislot” tatoo as well on my torso !

    • gnysek

on forehead maybe too? that’s where Pachislot tatto should go

xD Not sure yet where I would tattoo “KPE” then ?

Next time I visit Japan, I am going to stick my hears on ev-er-y single Shinkansen announce just for the pleasure to hear her voice again… Japan-Rail forever ! 😀

  • José Mellinas

What I’m seeing? Konami using the Metal Gear Solid Main Theme again!?

    • Yeah, looks like this is a remix though (as it says KPE Arrange).

      • I think its the version that plays during the 2nd pachi trailer (you know the long one) and due the high energy nature of the track I doubt they’ll include the classic guitar solo rendition of the classic melody, but the leaked pachi camrips show that “fortress sneaking” “life’s end” and “debriefing” didn’t had the MGS theme censored, (also they theme wasn’t removed for the HD editions but no promotional media featured it except that japan-only MGS3 HD trailer back in 2011)

now we have to wait if fortress sneaking, Life’s end and debriefing don’t get the MGS theme removed like the MGS3 main theme got censored in the 2007 “Metal Gear 20th Anniversary music collection” soundtrack… if its not censored it will be the 1st time since 2005 (MGA soundtrack) in which konami released a full uncensored version of the MGS classic melody(even when it have an voice over it), you can find just fragmented versions on MG20th anniversary on “Who I am, Really and Hal’s theme, on Portable ops “Revelation” track and on MG25th Anniversary on the middle of the “Gem Impact Tracks”

    • NegaScott128

They also call the MGS3/4 theme the “Metal Gear Solid Main Theme,” so there’s that. I’m expecting it’ll be the same as the revisionist MGS3 version, with the ending changed to remove the original theme.

    • Lewis

Really hate that they stopped using it.

      • To be honest it probably wouldn’t really fit with MGSV, it’s a little too ‘heroic’ for that story.

        • Lewis

Yeah, you’re right. But they really could remake it to fit the tone, like “Snake Eater”‘s version was very different from previous ones.

  • Mr.Pony

    So…Pachinko Slots soundtrack…but no remake…

There’s one track I’d like to see released, The Boss’ theme. It plays when Snake first talks to here over the codec during the Virtuous Mission and it plays again during her confession before the final battle in the flower field

    • I have ripped it, but is not ready for release yet… ripping some mgs3 tracks that arent avaiable, but I cant remember them all, but at least there are 4 unreleased tracks on the scenes with the boss on the flower field scenes that were not released, there’s also that theme ere eva tells snake that the boss is waiting for him at the lake… Is going to be available some time late November I hope

      • Plissken

I tried ripping the audio from the PS2 disc but I wasn’t successful. Glad to hear you’re having better luck. Keep me in the loop when they’re available

        • Kojima productions remixed the sound for the HD release giving true 5.1 audio… using an optical signal splitter I was able isolate the music in most cases (sometimes there’s echo voiceover the music, or ambient effects like wind and birds and ruins the track a little (still better than nothing), so I must clean and all that stuff, but It sounds great, the problem is that it converts digital signal to analog and there’s a little noise… is not a deal breaker but I want to get the bes quality posible

Heres a really early attempt I did with a camcorder… I got better results by now since I got the optical signal splitter

          • Plissken

I’ve seen your channel before, back when Portable Ops dropped the main theme after its first trailer. You’re working on other MG games besides Snake Eater?

          • some MGS4 stuff was planned, but most of the unreleased tracks came with the 25th anniversary disc which I’m thankful for (specially the MGS2 ending piano theme that had a lot of echo on my rips) so only the MGSaga theme will be ripped, there’s also a Drebin theme near the end and a couple more of melodies, peace walker unfortunately doesn’t have real 5.1, is just simulated dolby pro-logic II surround for cut scenes and rips are not good (and there’s nothing unreleased for the gameplay since most was ripped used the PSP emulator and the only song was the snake eater flshback theme), so its a shame, I will see how it rips the PAZ theme from Ground Zeroes but that’s pretty much it.

I’m finalizing a torrent in where I include all the DVD’s that I used as source for the utube channel, and many PSN uncompressed post-2007 trailers

the other project is a MGS3 TGS 2003 trailer re-edit with pure pachinko cam rips but I have to do that from zero, I wish I had direct feed footage but it will take forever for someone to actually take apart the machine and upload the hundreds of video files that the pachislot rom has…

          • Plissken

I know the MGS2 piano theme you’re talking about, where Raiden and Rose are talking at the end. That plays during MGS4 when Outer Haven crushes Raiden on Shadow Moses. Any luck with the other tracks?

          • I need to re-do the rips… I accidentally wiped out my drive… but I got a better quality cable so sound should be cleaner this time…

Hopefully for even a slight gameplay footage or at least real-time rendered environments of the game. I fear we won’t have any real stuff at earlier GDC… :/

        • Wasn’t the E3 trailer running in real time? Kojima said so when he presented it.

          • Full Options

            Yes, sorry was not precise.
DS was indeed 100% real-time, no slightest doubt about it since when, as you said, Boss warned us before playing it.

Was saying real-time in the sense of a tech presentation where for example a KP dude would have manipulated the sand-box for us live or a footage of some game elements in their editor.

          • Ah yes, that’s something you would probably see at GDC as you mentioned.

          • Full Options

Yes, I guess even a single second seeing a DualShock-controlled Norman hang around with 3rd person view would make my year… xD

BTW, just noticed that DualShock initials = DS too !? ;D I bet Boss could be tempted to play with this little ambiguity somewhere in the interface.

Very Kojima-esque trailer, can’t wait. I think GOTY will be either this or Last Guardian.

    • Or Uncharted 4.

    • Lewis

Really liked that trailer. FFXV will be my first, already pre-ordered the Deluxe (i really hate this word) edition.

  • Alex

Is it available for pre-order? Can’t read Japanese.

  • ADAMJENSEN13

Am I blind because I dont see Way to fall. That was the best song in Snake Eater!

and Snake Eater song of course too!

    • Could be because this is an ‘original soundtrack’, meaning songs made specifically for the game.

      • LeGuy(CertifiedPoS)

        “game”

        • Well, most are songs from Snake Eater, or remixes of those.

          • LeGuy(CertifiedPoS)

            “most” is keyword NYX
Those machines are definitely not games and even a dumbass like me can figure that out.
            They’re gambling machines.
Atleast a pachinko requires some certain effort.
            This? Just pull a lever

          • Not denying that, the ‘game’ referenced to in the reply to Adam was Snake Eater, not the pachislot.

          • Full Options

What you both have against pachislots anyways !? They are so cool, I just tattoo’d “Pachislot” on my torso this afternoon !? 😀
Don’t make me regret this !? Was painful… mrrr..

          • Yeah, people shouldn’t mock the main form of entertainment of middle aged Japanese salarymen!

xD The very first game I wrote (successfully ;D) was a slot. + Boss included one in Penguin adventure, I remember playing it hours and hours with friends just to earn enough fishes to buy weapons for the penguin !

Nowadays, some “publishers” make less difference than they should in differentiating slot-games from video-games anyways…

      • ADAMJENSEN13

I see. So Way to fall is just song used in the game?

        • Yeah, originally Kojima was going to use Space Oddity as the credit song.

          • ADAMJENSEN13

            Really?! Nice!

        • Jav

It’s a starsailor song from one of their albums.

LOL, regarding the recent Koji-tweet about Mads and BoConcept, there was this commercial in France… We could not clearly see (his face was not zoomed enough) / be sure and his name was not written anywhere. I was wondering if it was him or simply me seeing Mads everywhere because I want him in DS…
Just thought at the end it was someone 1:1 looking like him… :D:D But was Mads xD

    • LeGuy(CertifiedPoS)

For people who don’t understand it(Maybe it’s just me xD) or need concept

Mads is badass at speaking French

Well this feels odd having a slot machine soundtrack

  • This is an interesting interview from Mads about his role in the movie. I expect him in DS to be a Misunderstood Villain or maybe we will eventually play him.
Maybe Co-op thing will be involved with Mads and Reedus.

Anyway, we need confirmation already. Mads will be in DS. Everyone expect that.

    • LeGuy(CertifiedPoS)

What I hate about MCU reviews is that when a non-MCU movie has amazing visuals and a generic plot
4-6 over 10 is what you can expect
Dr Strange does this and worse apparently
“best marvel film since spider man 2”
I thought it was only warner bros that was known for paying critics 😉

      • Gatsu

I love that avatar xD. Actually many of my friends thought Doctor Strange was awesome, so as before I think shouldn’t trust reviews too much. On Rotten tomatoes it’s 93% so I think I will enjoy it :).

        https://twitter.com/JensenAckles/status/791758939259932672

        • LeGuy(CertifiedPoS)

Dude the rating on rotten tomatoes is like 6.5/10 or 6.8
          93% liked it
          It’s not the score

          • Gatsu

I know, but I think it’s also silly to say critics are paid if they rate a movie or a game highly because they are opinions. Or to trust every review out there. Best is to just see for yourself how much you like it. If I had left out every game or movie that has gotten negative reviews, I would have missed a shitload of amazing things.

          • LeGuy(CertifiedPoS)

            True

          • LeGuy(CertifiedPoS)

            Yeah
Fight club first had negative reviews as well as shawshabk redemption
Also I loved Man Of Steel and Captain America :The first avenger which had well….
            Not very good reviews
Also Captain America was a flop

The statistics for having both and randomly Mads and Hideo in Sheffield the same days is very low, I guess. We know Boss was there for 3D scans and for sure scanned himself once more, probably as a dummy for calibration purposes, but it would be statistically surprising to have Mads “working on a video-game” in Sheffield (according with this fan) if it was not for DS (xD).
So we have real reasons to believe that our Intel team Golg-vision S++ was outstandingly accurate once more. ;D

    • Gatsu

I’m going to see Doctor Strange in a few hours, awww yeah I’m going mad with the Mikkelsen hype :D. He and Benedict are such amazing actors.

Thanks for the great interview! <3

      • PS Experience. That’s what is important. Death Stranding will be there. This is it guys, one month only left for a Next Gen Of Gaming.

        • Kojima Productions has been pretty quiet lately. No HideoTube since August either. This could mean they have been hard at work on something (trailer, teaser, gameplay demo even?).

          • Full Options

Yeah, where is my Koji-Tube 6 ?? I hope this episode will embed nice little gems inside. ;D

          • Maybe if they show something at PSX they can do a behind-the-scenes episode again afterwards.

          • Full Options

I was exactly wondering the same. Besides, Koji-Tube 6 should not spoil anything if there is a big surprise next month (would kill it in terms of com), so yeah, we may not see any episode before X-Mas or something, because they may also need to mount possible TGA+PSX shots and translate them as well.
I have a very good feeling about all this ! ;D

        • Full Options

Mmmh, since the 2 events are pretty close, I am perhaps mistaken, but I bet Boss should keep at least some small teasing peanuts for Geoff’s show too ?
Of course he is just initially supposed to come grab his statue and voilà, however guest like him normally never come with empty hands.
Besides, I think that if he had something new, his interest would be to show-case it as much as possible, but perhaps you are right and he’ll just simply keep the entire surprise for PSX..
I sense it would be a quiet too heavy surprise to hold for, after all, the TGA show and what happened last year. We’ll see… Can’t wait !

          • Both are possible. Kojima has worked with Geoff before for reveals, so he could show something at TGA . Then again, since this time he has a partnership with Sony it would make a lot of sense to show it at PSX. Both would probably be too much to ask, unless there are two small teasers or something similar.

          • Full Options

If there are really some contractual aspects, then yeah, but Boss could easily split / extract some sneaks from the PSX material. I would sense it odd to have Boss coming there possibly receiving his statue from the hands of some celebrity (Mads, who knows) and just simply just say, “save the date for PSX” ?
Maybe that’s what gonna happen after all… But Geoff, Boss and all of us were left with a specifically sad note last year so the situation is also very exceptional… We’ll see…

          • Look, TGA is a celebration show. PSX is much more important because you can show a game to the Playstation audience and Sony expect that, unless they have more major announcements they want to focus on like RDR2 or The Last Of Us 2, God Of War…
Kojima can do both, but again, TGA is not the most amazing place on earth to show AAA games.
Kojima can do the same thing Naughty Dog did. They showed a teaser for Uncharted 4 for TGA and full trailer was released at PSX.

          • Yeah, the latter sounds like something that could happen. The main focus for DS will probably be PSX as you said.

          • Full Options

Like Nyx, I think that sounds like the most fair / plausible scenario too.
Or at least he tease us with a very tiny but consistent stuff (could be in the form of a simple announce or info about cast member since there are always many celebs there).
We will keep our eyes (and hears) quite wide open, hehe… Like this : (O__O)
            xD

      • Full Options

Yeah, the promo announce is not much exhaustive about DS, but nevertheless, my seat-belt is tightly fasten, xD

BTW, to you Uncharted 4-cracked guys (will join the team soon, I promise), I suppose you largely spotted the up-coming story DLC that will likely be unveiled at PSX too ? 😀

        • BurntFM

I still haven’t bought Uncharted 4. I was going to get around to it but I have soooo many games in my backlog. lol and worst of all I just keep ignoring those games and play Sleeping Dogs for hours.

          • Lewis

Too bad they closed United Front Games. I really loved Sleeping Dogs.

          • BurntFM

Yeah. I heard the news too. Very sad because they truly made an awesome game. I was looking forward to a sequel.

          • Lewis

Some reports say, that it was their own fault. Publisher gave them money for SD2, but they went and made those 2 games (don’t even remember their names) and by the time of their closure, money was spent and no work was done on the sequel. Truly a pitiful story, if true.

        • Lewis

Can’t wait for the U4 DLC. Left Behind was amazing at providing story content that was not cut and added to the game’s story. Really hope we get to play as *mild spoilers*
