The Art of Metal Gear Solid V screenshot contest – winners announced

Last week we asked you to send us your best screenshots from Metal Gear Solid V (Ground Zeroes, The Phantom Pain and Metal Gear Online). The following days we received well over 200 screenshots from all over the world, some funny, some weird, some moody… it was difficult to select just three out of all. But in the end, we were able to choose three winners that really stood out from the rest.

The first prize is The Art of Metal Gear Solid V Limited Edition, 2nd and 3rd prizes are regular editions of the art book.

Number 1

by ‘Shadow Gecko’

The things you find yourself doing when you’re already a demon anyway

Number 2

by ‘Ninja with standards’

Who doesn’t want some shooting lessons from a legendary hero?

Number 3

by ‘Gray Slash’

The love between a man and his dog can only be expressed through the universal language of incapacitated enemies.

Congratulations to the winners, we wil forward your addresses to Konami. Thank you all for participating and sending in your screenshots!

    ;D here : http://disq.us/p/1e8jc6t

    • Tom Brearley-Smith

So he found out just NOW?! Well, better late than never. Other than that, we do have a thing for being the early birds, don’t we?

      • Full Options

        Top-notch MG community ! xD

    • Lex Radu

Well, he reported it when he found out about it, when more than 3 sources revealed it as far as i’m concerned!

      • Full Options

Then he should pay a visit to us more often… xD
Could be cool, he could as well drop us a line here and there..
If he considers such info as “scoops”, then we have a couple more for him.. ;D

Number 2 was my favorite only because it reminded me of this moment:

Thanks, guess which one I voted for. The english version is not out yet (will vote on it too)…
Google translated 4 choices just in case :

      DS information and upcoming report
Best 20 in the movie of 2016
      Mads’s movie feature
      Dedicated to production

Edit : Not really against the idea of an HideoTube on movies but would seriously prefer DS stuff… If you mates feel like me please vote because it is tight… DS and best 20 movies are both ahead at 29%…

      • LeGuyWhoDownedQuiet
        • Full Options

Aaaaahhhh ! Cool ! DS far ahead now.
Concentrate making game is one thing but like Koji-Station, I believe those streams entertain him so have a beneficial effect on his given inspirations, aside making the fanbase happy as well.
I would just like him to always do what he wants, no matter the pace, so we’ll hopefully get back the fully regenerated spirit of Koji-Pro, just like in the past.

      • Xilurm

Why would people NOT want a DS update? 😮

      • Jav

He should work to see a finished game this time.

        • LeGuyWhoDownedQuiet

          MEH
          Another one!

      • LeGuyWhoDownedQuiet

I vote for DS update on the jap one and concentrate on game dev on the English one

Decker V Baba Yaga:Dawn of amazing trailers of movies that will exceed expectations

    • Full Options

Decker’s is a short one, but Ridley is behind soooo…
I’d like him to concentrate on Prometheus sequel as well… But Blade Runner is just …

  • SholidOnline

Number 3 is the best. No competition,

  • Jav

I miss reading news or comments like last year. Now there is not much to talk. We need a new mg game.

    • Full Options

Ok, but paradoxically we got many amazing news this year with this apparently very promising kind of new Kojima Production’s chrysalis (;D).
Keep in mind that it could have been much worse since HK almost gave out game-dev last year because of the Konamess…

We were also far to count on a that high involvement of Sony / Guerrilla’s dudes and have two almost merged techs / studios, giving the feeling that KP’s full technical autonomy is seriously back.

If Hideo was still at Konami, I suppose we would not have much to discuss neither. Here, and despite the handicap of searching for a new engine, we got 2 trailers with 2 different rendering engines, for a game yet proposing the most famous cast ever hired in a video game.
I am sure that gameplay footages will follow soon (perhaps not as soon as next GDC unfortunately but who knows..) and yet DS story looks awesome.
It feels really like they’ll 100% stick to the plan of always giving us the quality we expect, right like in the past !

It is indeed calm, but we are at least way more re-insured than last year, aren’t we ? ;D

    • Lex Radu

I got a feeling Hideo will find a way to get his hands on the rights to both Fox Engien, Metal Gear and Silent Hill!

    • Tom Brearley-Smith

There is a new MG game coming out next year. But it’s a ‘Left 4 Dead’ wannabe. -_- And next year, Metal Gear as a franchise is turning 30. Konami should know better by now. Then again, it’s too late to turn back.

    • Gatsu

      Yeah me too ;).

  • LeGuyWhoDownedQuiet

That moment when even assasin’s creed fans know how to make a better open world than a veteran genius designer
Shit like that was why I prefer arkham asylum to city
Also I want to break into every building’s interior I want
I need more vibrant people and quests
There’s a reason why ubisoft is copying the witcher

    • LeGuyWhoDownedQuiet

Also did anyone play watch dogs 2 here?
I need some feedback from gamers

    • Lex Radu

What game are you talking about?

      • LeGuyWhoDownedQuiet

        A rumoured game
        Remember osiris from ubu?
That game is gonna be the next ac game by the team of black flag and will release in 2017 or 2018
It will be a trilogy and it was created from scratch
        Ancient Egypt(prequel) before the assasins
        Ancient Greece
        Ancient Rome

        • Lex Radu

          Aaaaah, yeah, hopefully!

          • LeGuyWhoDownedQuiet

I hope these rumours are true
And apparently the protagonist isn’t related to Desmond
Fans are speculating it’s about the split of ideologies of the templars and assasins
Some are saying it’s about these organisations were created and how the Abel and Cain story fits into all of this
I’m a bit confused but Egypt and Japan would be my fav locations
            China my least fav

          • Lex Radu

I won’t be surprised if this AC Game will actually take place in the past, and not in the Animus, if this will show the origins of the Apple of Eden.

          • LeGuyWhoDownedQuiet

Maybe the staff of Eden used by the Romans in Egypt
Or even the staff used by moses

          • LeGuyWhoDownedQuiet

Also it’s confirmed Desmond has an 11 year old son who has a lot of precursor DNA and abstergo managed to get him at one of their clinics.
And Juno is getting a physical form
So I doubt they will ditch modern day
But they might not use the animus or helix but rather another device
            A precursor one,maybe?

          • Lex Radu

Well, maybe the new Animus from the Movie, it would certainly be more interesting having the animus glitch in Video Game form!

          • LeGuyWhoDownedQuiet

            Animus glitch?

          • LeGuyWhoDownedQuiet

Also Desmond’s son is a sage
So I wonder which option will he choose?
Reviving Desmond with the shroud and Ankh or Reviving Juno with the shroud and ankh

  • Lex Radu

This guy has a really interesting theory abut what stranded in Death Stranding from another world…it’s us, our world, those who play, the Homo Ludens.
From the subtle metaphorical symbolism of oil poisoning our world, to more literal forth wall breaks like Norman Reedus’s actual real life tattoo entering the game, Mads Mikkelsen’s Character literally controlling Video Game Characters with wires, like how we do with with our Controllers/Mouse/Keyboard etc, going “Wireless” when he sends them…hell, to even have his Googles vanishing in Cutscene as items do in most Video Game in Gameplay, and tell us with his finger, us, the audience to shut up, and enjoy the experience…OK, that last one is mine!

    http://www.mcm.fr/death-stranding-norman-reedus-nous-parle-du-jeu-et-de-hideo-kojima-exclu-a580885.html
“I love this guy Kojima. We had a project with Guillermo Del Toro that was cancelled. But death stranding is even better. The script is so intelligent.I know a little about the game and Kojima keeps me so much into the dark.He is stubborn to not give too much details. He’s a revolutionary”

    • LeGuyWhoDownedQuiet

And no I didn’t use google translate or any online translatipn gimmick.I know french. Now if you want more precise little details I guess Nyxus’ friends metalgearsolid.be might give a little help I guess
      Edit: I meant kojipro.be

    • Lex Radu
