Metal Gear Survive will be playable this E3, new screenshots released
Metal Gear Survive, the newest addition to the MGSV experience, will be playable for the press for the first time during this E3 show. The game is set in an alternate dimension where former MSF members, who got pulled into a wormhole, have to work together and survive against a threat of zombie like creatures. It’s a co-op game making use of the mechanics of MGSV, while adding new features like treating injuries and being able to build defenses to keep the hordes of creatures away.
Metal Gear Informer was once again invited to be among the first to play the game, and Carlos ‘crimsonfox‘ Fregoso will be getting his hands on tomorrow. Expect his impressions soon after! In the mean time, check out these new screenshots released by Konami.
Metal Gear Survive will launch in early 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Thinking again about it, I wanna perform head-shots on real heads too instead of those bloody flashing red horns !?… I mean it seems the enemies have mostly the same heads !? I hope the whole game has not only horns to shoot or something…

Yeah, It’s seeming most of the gameplay team stayed behind with Konami…which is one of those things i was like “Oooh yes!”

they didn’t even bothered to make a new trailer so it wont be another unlike magnet like the 1st one… I like how they showed it on a closed door inside a hidden room on the E3 show floor, Seriously I find so disappointing they didn’t announced anything special for the 30th anniversary of the Metal Gear brand… I guess Xbox one X will be able to play MGS HD upscaled or something…

I fully support MG Survive. Why? First, I always loved Zombie mode in Call of Duty. And second, it looks fun to play thanks to co-op.
I honestly cannot be fussed about MG Survive, but I hope that maybe there’s a chance it will be better than what we got from the trailer thus far plus the snippet of gameplay at TGS 2016.

So is this canon?
Probably more like Rising: set within the same timeline but like an alternative ‘what if’ story. Since Kojima is gone it’s debatable if any of the future games can be considered canon.
I ask because generally if “solid” isn’t in the title its not really considered canon right?
They probably removed the ‘Solid’ part to indicate this is a spin-off rather than a new installment, yeah.
Tends to be how they differentiate between main title and spin off (acid, rising and now Survive)
