Metal Gear Survive gets first look at single player, beta coming January 18

Konami has released a video detailing the single player campaign and story of Metal Gear Survive, complete with developer commentary by the game’s producer, Yuji Korekado.

In Metal Gear Survive, you’ll play as a soldier fighting on Mother Base during the XOF attack in Ground Zeroes. A wormhole suddenly appears and begins absorbing people and objects, but this soldier manages to avoid being sucked in. Six months later, the player is sent by a ‘mysterious organization’ through the worm hole to an alternate world. He discovers a base camp near a wrecked Mother Base (strangely enough this is the Mother Base from Diamond Dogs). From there on the story will progress as you clear missions and find your way through the poisonous mist. You can take on side missions as well.

A beta will also be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from January 18th to 21st.

METAL GEAR SURVIVE BETA Jan. 18-21st, 2018. The beta will include 3 missions across 2 maps in CO-OP mode & up to four players.

Participation Bonus items for players who make a character during the BETA!

• FOX HOUND Name Plate
• Accessory Metal Gear REX Head
• Accessory Bandana

Metal Gear Survive will release in February of next year for PS4, Xbox One and Steam.
