Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker HD now playable via Xbox One Backward Compatibility

Some new titles have just been added to the Xbox One backward compatibility program, and one of them is Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker HD. The game released on Xbox 360 (and PS3) in 2011 as part of the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, alongside Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3. Curiously, only Peace Walker has been added today, while MGS2 and MGS3 are not yet backward compatible. On Xbox 360, Peace Walker came on a separate disc inside the HD Collection, and as a standalone digital game on the Xbox Store.

In any case, if you happen to own a copy of the game on Xbox 360 you can now play it on your Xbox One, and if you don’t, you can always purchase the game for 14.99 from the Xbox Store, or track down a copy of the HD Collection.

Peace Walker HD is the second Metal Gear game to be added to the backward compatibility program, after Metal Gear Rising Revengeance was made available last year.
