Konami has recently opened a ‘major production center’ in Osaka, the company has announced. On the occasion of their 50th anniversary, the opening of this studio, which is apparently a relocation of the company’s existing one, in Osaka Umeda Twin Towers South is supposed to create sustainable growth for the next 50 years.
“KONAMI Osaka Studio” is a developmental relocation of the existing studio and comes with the concept of “Creators First.” It is characterized by a well-developed environment where creators can demonstrate their full potential, and is set up in a location with convenient transportation access. As the major production center in Western Japan, the facility is fully equipped with motion capture equipments and sound studios necessary for product development.
Furthermore, Konami has reiterated plans to open a ‘next-generation R&D center’ in 2025. This center, called ‘Konami Creative Front Tokyo Bay’ will be located at Ariake, Koto-ku, Tokyo, and is currently under construction.
