Kojima looks back on Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes on its 9th anniversary
March 20th marks nine years since Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes was released in Japan. The game launched in Hideo Kojima’s home country on March 20th of 2014. Today, its creator took to Twitter to look back on the game, talking about his intentions with releasing the prologue to The Phantom Pain separately. He says that in retrospect, people expected Ground Zeroes to be a full game rather than a prologue, so his intentions didn’t fully come across.
Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain were rereleased in a single package titled ‘The Definitive Experience’ in 2016.
