Death Stranding 2 behind-the-scenes photos shared as recordings continue

Kojima is back in the United States again to shoot scenes for Death Stranding 2 using performance capture. The director and his personal assistant Ayako Terashima shared some behind-the-scenes pictures during the last couple of days, and on the photos we can see actors Norman Reedus, Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna and Troy Baker. We also see Ludvig Forssell, audio director and composer for both Metal Gear Solid V and the first Death Stranding. A Troy Baker-sung rendition of his Death Stranding track BB’s Theme could be heard during the reveal trailer for the game.

“Preparing for tomorrow.”
“Prep for tomorrow’s shoot. Directions and shooting simulation in detail.”
“Today’s performance capture was great! I got good scenes. I will prep for tomorrow’s direction and simulate the scenes tonight.”
“I had a great shoot today again. Thanks to the cast members, staff, and people involved in this project.”

Death Stranding 2 (currently using the working title ‘DS2’) was announced last year at The Game Awards. The game is coming to the PlayStation 5 at a yet unannounced date. It will introduce new characters as well as familiar faces from the first game, like protagonist Sam (Norman Reedus), Fragile (Léa Seydoux) and Higgs (Troy Baker).
