After making it to number 4 in last week’s UK sales charts, Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 also managed to appear in the weekly top 10 in its home country Japan (between October 23 – 29). To be specific, the Nintendo Switch version of the game took the number 2 spot, with 19330 copies sold, while the PlayStation 5 version sold 13717 copies, earning it the number 3 spot. Put together the game sold 33047 copies.
Remember that like with the UK sales, these numbers only cover the physical versions, and these are the two platforms with physical versions in Japan.
As the title suggests, Metal Gear Solid The Master Collection Vol. 1 is the first installment of a collection series, as confirmed by Konami in today’s financial report.
