MGSV: Cardboard box returns, exclamation mark almost did not
Alert! Kojima actually considered scrapping Metal Gear’s iconic exclamation mark! The director wanted to replace the icon, that appears over enemies’ heads when they spot you, in favor of a more realistic approach of facial expressions and gestures. In an interview with Famitsu, Kojima explains how his staff said this would cause an uproar, so he decided to add it in after all.
The series’ other staple, the cardboard box, will return as well. Kojima said he wants to include it in the game.
