Metal Gear Solid V receives award at TGS 2013
At the Tokyo Game Show 2013, the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association announced the winners of the Japan Game Awards Future Division. The winners are (unreleased) titles chosen through votes by visitors, which are then judged by the committee.
Among the eleven winners was also Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, the highly anticipated upcoming game made by Hideo Kojima. To view the full list, go here.

hell yeah Sen no Kiseki 😀
MGSV is already expected ^^
So now that TGS is over, when might we expect more info about MGSV? I haven’t seen anything solid about release dates, though I did read someone’s comment about Kojima’s presentation which claimed he mentions a 2015 target for release. I thought this would be the event to announce the release date and now I’m wondering when that might happen.
2015? Let’s hope not.
Keep in mind that by 2015 Kojima could have meant fy 2015 which runs from March 2014 to March 2015.
So does anyone know when the next big show/event is where we might hear more about MGSV?
More than likely…E3 🙁
MGS has never had a big presence at Jump Fest (held in December) and the only other show between that and E3 is the Game Developers conference (where it theoretically COULD see a reveal, as Kojima might be there to talk up Fox Engine again), but more than likely, E3 unfortunately:(.
That’s what I thought, which really makes the 2015 release window very plausible.
That unfortunately, is the most likely scenario. I always thought that would be the release year for both MGSV and FFXV. I dont like it, others dont like when I say it, but it IS the most likely scenario with the way things have panned out for both releases 🙁
2015? No way in hell.
